I know, another question about this.... But I am a passenger of size and will be flying solo for the first time (all other trips have been with my family and on airlines that have assigned seats.) I plan to purchase TWO seats for myself in advance but want to take advantage of the web specials. Once I purchase two seats for myself online will I then have to call customer service to explain why I did so?

I'd call first and ask. I don't think you'd have to explain as you'd be listed as both passengers but I did read in the recent past that a discount was given for the second seat, to someone who purchased 2 seats for 1 person. Not sure what airline it was.

Just a thought!

Guess what I found after searching and searching on the Southwest web site! Instructions for passengers of size booking online. :)

1. Click “Reservations.”
2. Select your city pair(s) and travel date(s).
3. Select the number of seats needed (“two” is the typical choice for most Customers of size).
4. Proceed through the “Select Flight” and “Itinerary and Pricing” pages.
5. Complete the “Passenger Information” name fields: For example, a Passenger named Tom Smith would designate Passenger One as “Tom Smith,” and Passenger Two as “Tom XS Smith” (first name Tom, middle name XS and last name Smith).
6. If a Customer purchases a Business Select or an Anytime fare, the second seat can be sold at the discounted Child’s Fare. It is important to note that the Child’s fare is available via our Reservations Sales Center only. You will need to call 800 I-FLY-SWA to book/purchase the extra seat at the Child Fare.

Your Wanna Get Away (web special) fares are almost always going to be cheaper than a Child's fare. I would go ahead and book your seats through the internet as specified.
