Southwest lowered the fare for the flight I have already booked out of Providence this summer. I purchased the Early Bird Check-In when I bought the tickets. If I call to get the credit for the lower fare, will I keep my EBCI, and if I do, will my place in line stay the same as when I first purchased them or will my EBCI # change according to the date I got the lower fare. The flight times will be remaining the same. Thanks.

As long as you don't cancel the ticket and rebook a completely new reservation with a new confirmation number, the EBCI will follow your ticket through any changes. If you change to a different flight, your place in line, so to speak, will change, though. At least, that's my understanding.

Thanks. When I woke up this morning the rates had gone back up and they were higher than what I paid. I went to work and when I came home they were back down again, so I called Southwest and the lady walked me through it and I was able to keep the same EBCI order along with a $215 credit for 6 tickets.
