I have a credit from my last trip where the price had gone down so I rebooked. At the time of the transaction, I saw the credit, but now I can't find it. I have done this before but it was about three years ago and the web site has changed.

Has anyone done this recently and know where I can find my credit? I even tried the search engine and it didn't produce anything.

You have to have the confirmation number of the flight for which you got the credit. When you go to checkout, there will be spot that says something like "use a credit." You put in the confirmation number, and it should come up.

If you are a RR member and used you member number when you booked the trip that has a credit, simply sign into your RR acct and look under past flights. You should be able to see the confirmation number.

Thank you both. The last time I did this, I could see the credit in my account.

Has it been more than a year since you booked the original ticket? If so, your credit has expired. If not, call Southwest.

I found out the hard way that the credit is only good for a year from when you booked your flight not when you fly. Next time I won't be in such a hurry to book early. Our flight price went down by almost $100 roundtrip and I will not be able to use the credit before it expires. To top if off I realized that the points I earn on the fight are based on the lower price I rebooked to. I would have been better off leaving it booked at the higher price and at least earned more points on the flight! I will know better for next time.

if i booked wanna get away tickets and the price changes, will i be able to get a credit?

and remember, now credit is good only in the name of the booked passenger. you used to be able to use a credit toward purchase of tickets on another's name, but not any more. Also, if anyone is cancelling a flight completely, not changing a flight, don't forget to do it! SW now has a no-show policy where the passenger does not get their credit unless they have gone thru the process of cancelling their flight at least 10 minutes prior to take-off. I think it is a fair policy, but some have been caught off guard.
