I was checking the budget board and decided to quick check my southwest flights to see if there was a change in fares so I could get a credit and YES :banana::banana: There was!!!! My first flight went from $137 to $79!!!! I went online and made the changes and will get $290 credit total for the five of us. I've been stalking the return flight and some of those fares have dropped...just waiting for my 7:40pm flight to drop!!! Going back to check....:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I hope you'll find a time to use that credit. I did the same thing last year and will never get a chance to use my credit ($204) that expires on June 4. Good luck!

That's great!

I checked fares from Chicago and they're still high (which means we're still driving), but definitely watching because if they come down to $79 each way, we're flying.

I just checked and was able to rebook at a closer airport for almost the same price as the one I originally booked about an hour away from my home. I ended up with a small credit ($35) but I'll save even more (gas and no parking fees) by flying out of the airport closer to my house.

I snagged a $99 fare to get there last Tuesday but our return is still $219 per person.:scared1: I am waiting for that to drop. I wanted that $79 rate so badly but told myself I would jump when the price went under $100. At least we are getting to Disney World, right?;)

Me too!!! It only took me from $502 to $436 (yes, for just one RT... :scared1:), but at this point I'll take what I can get!

I just read on the transportation board that people have been sucessful this week on transferring flight credit into someone else's name. Apparently that is set to change but hasn't happened yet. Maybe you can give your credit to someone else who's looking to buy airfare so the credit doesn't go to waste!

I'm also celebrating not having to take the flight down at 5:45 am. I was able to change it to 8:05. No way we were gonna make it to the airport at 3:45 am and still enjoy our first day in Universal!

I'm glad they dropped too. Been waiting so we can book the flight, but they are all layovers except for the last flight of the night. I'm not sure what to do:confused3 I hoped the straight through flights would have dropped to $79. Our flight coming home for Sept 2nd is still real high, hoping for them to drop soon.

Our flight home dropped from $144 to $124 so I was able to get a credit, but the flight heading down went up to $163 :scared1:

Thanks OP. I just got a $5 credit but hey it is a gallon of gas at this point. I am sure it will be used before the year is up.

Thanks for the post!! I got a total of $260 credit. I have to use it before Feb of next year- should I...

A. Let my husband go alone to Las Vegas to visit his parents (and pay more $$ cuz the cost to LV is more than the credit) **OR**

B. Visit my sister in Ft. Myers, Florida alone and leave DH in charge of the kids(The credit would most likely cover the cost :) )

....decisions decisions :thumbsup2

Thanks. My flight didn't drop. However a flight from a closer airport dropped a little so it was only $40 total for the 2 of us to switch to the closer airport. We felt it was worth that much to avoid Chicago rush hour traffic.

Maggie

You call call sw and have them extend your credit for a cost of $50.00
that way you don,t lose it all good for another year
