I'm flying Southwest, and I will have no problems printing my bording passes for the trip there. However, I will not have my printer (obviously) at WDW. I can check in from my blackberry, but can't print. Do I NEED to have that paper, or can Icheck in from my phone, and then either print it later or do I even need it at all? :confused3

Thanks so much!

We have never had a problem with going to the front desk of a Disney resort and asking them to print out the boarding pass.

If I print my boarding passes at home but I still have luggage to check at the airport, won't that be checking in again? Not sure I understand the benefit of printing passes before heading to the airport. Can someone explain?

You don't need to print them at home but you do need to check in at 24hr mark.

As long as you check in online 24hrs in advanced you are ok as far as numbers go. Most airlines don't expect you to be able to print your bp ahead of time while on vacation. You can print your bp at the airport when you get there.

No, not necessarily, because you don't check in your bags on SWA online like you can other airlines. Checking in for a Boarding Pass with SWA is different than checking in for say, US Airways, because you are getting your boarding order. The earlier you check in the earlier you board. As far as printing them ahead, some people just like to have that piece of paper in hand. Otherwise, printing them at the airport is just as easy.

As another poster stated, with SWA, checking in at the 24 hour mark has nothing to do with luggage; if you check in at the 24 hour mark, or you buy early bird, your boarding number will *hopefully* be lower so you can board the plane before others with higher numbers/groups and pick your seat, since SWA does not have reserved searing.

You check in your luggage when you drop it off with Magical Express folks or, if not ME'ing, when you check your luggage at the SWA airline gate. Unlike other airlines, ME does NOT check you in with SWA; you have to do it yourself.

I have always had my hotel's conceriage print off our boarding passes. Also, I like to buy early bird for the return trip so I don't have to worry about remembering to check-in via my phone at the 24 hour mark.

Since Southwest has no assigned seating, checking in gives you your place in line. They board in 3 groups- A, B and C. If you wait to check in at the airport, you will almost certainly be in Group C which means sitting in the back of the plane, or taking a middle seat.

You will, however, arrive at the same time as everyone else, as my dad is fond of pointing out. :rotfl:
