so I called and she said she'd put in a request to the marketing dept. to give me the other 25k since I've had the card less than 3 months.

Of course that's not going to help me now b/c I was planning to book my flights as soon as the dates are extended on Monday.

That happened to me. I called. The first guy that I spoke with was a real jerk. I asked to speak to a manager. She happily credited me with the other 25,000 points.

it happened to you in the past or just this week? The woman I spoke to made it sound like it's standard procedure if you've had the card less than 3 mos. I wish they could credit it immediately though instead of waiting who knows how long.

I have great credit, never carry a balance and I didn't get instant approval. What do they want from me? Last time I missed out on this offer so of course I jumped on it this time - I figured I'd be approved right away....sigh.

i had the same thing happen and called the Chase Application status telephone number ( 888 245-0625) the next day and received an automated message saying I had been approved and what my credit limit was and that I should have rec'd my card Blah blah blah. The card came in the mail about a week after I applied.

I just got approved, but I have two other Chase cards. One with no balance and one that is paid off monthly. Maybe having the Chase cards made a difference?

I have another chase credit card that is paid off monthly as well. I was told they do not approve it instantly online if they are going to give you a spending limit of 20K or more. They gave me a spending limit of 40K. i applied late at night online and in the morning when I called the approval line it was approved.

In had the southwest card but closed it over 1 year ago. Could I reapply and get the 50k? What if my husband and I did a joint card?

A few questions on this...

I want to fly in April. If I apply and get the card within the next two weeks, I could spend the $2000 and hopefully have the points by January 1, 2013. Has anyone used this offer much? (I know there's a much longer thread on this subject.) I had this card before (when you didn't have to spend any certain amount of money... you just got the free flights). I recall the agent on the phone telling me that there are only so many seats per flight available for use with rapid rewards. So I'm a little worried that, in April, there wouldn't be RR seats available on the flights I need. My dates aren't flexible. Can anyone speak to this? If I get the 50,000 points by mid-January, is it likely that I'll be able to get seats in April? I want to two go two weeks after Easter.

Any help on this would be appreciated!

you can look on their site now to see how many reward flights they have available and then I guess just keep checking until you get your points to see if flights are being sold out.
