Southern Caribbean ports

Hey everyone! I am heading to the Southern Caribbean next week. Does anyone have any recommendations for what to do in the ports? Ship excursions or on your own. Thanks!

We had great success asking taxi drivers to take us to whatever beach they recommended. Our requirements were that the beach have some sort of bathroom and refreshments would be nice as well. We arranged at each beach for the same driver to return for us in X hours. We found some real gems that way - the drivers know where the cruise ship excursions go and they can help you steer clear if you want to avoid the crowds.

We paid all the taxi drivers in USD.
