Anyone ever flown using Southeast airlines? I can get a really good price roundtrip for my June trip...I dont think I can wait until the middle of Feb for Southwest to open its dates out far enough

I've used Southeast a few times over the last year and a half, and have been pleased with them. Our only gripe is the seats seem to be really close together and there's not a whole lot of leg room but that seems to be the case with the majority of planes. I like that they run as a charter. There doesn't seem to be the last minute flight changes that are so prevalent with major carriers. JMHO!

We flew Southwest cross country this summer and were very happy. Every employee we dealt with during the day was very friendly, and went out of their way to help us out. We arrived early to both destinations, which has never happened before. From what I have heard the "cattle call" seating actually helps to keep them on schedule. I believe it too. Our only complaint was the first flight only had coffee and orange juice to drink. No other choices, and the orange juice was awful:eek:

I take it that Southeast does not assign seats? How hard did you find it to get seats together?

From my experience I can tell you that if you have small children you will get to go in before the others. I didn't mind Southeast Airlines, everyone was really nice and the planes weren't bad. I know they usually have pretty good fare prices. Good Luck! ::MinnieMo

no assigned seats. for just 2 of us it was not bad to find seats together, although i would imagine that if you are a bigger group and are in anything besides set a to get on the plane (depending on how early you check in you are in either group a, b, or c), then it might be difficult to get seats together, although it could possibly be done. with small children, or handicaps you can board earlier, however, if either apply to your group.

When I traveled on Southeast, my seat was assigned at check-in. When they board, they call you up by rows, seating from the back of the plane forward. If you want to sit together, then check in early. Also, people are pretty good about switching their seats if there's good reason for it.

I'm wondering if some folks are confusing Southeast with SouthWest airlines.;)

HTH!

Actually MulanMom and I were on the same flight ( without knowing it ) and we had to do the trip without coffee...remember mulan? there was no water. I had no problem whatsoever except as mulanmom said the leg room , the service was fine. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Hey mskanga! Long time no see! Of course, I only seem to visit these boards when a trip is coming up!!!!

Yes, I do remember that flight! Any airline that can safely overcome both a nor'easter *and* a water line problem to fly us into sunny Florida gets my vote of confidence!!!!
