South Westerly String Vesters!!

Huge thanks must be awarded to the fantastic South westerly Organisers, the Stringer Family and Dorothy (Grandma String Vest!!) for finding and testing the venue, our very own Mod Shirley for the quiz, the great company of Mod Hilary, Paul and Shirley, Mod Kaylee and Paul and Mod Shirley and Naveed who all travelled 3 hours to be with the locals, namely String vests, Deb and Matt and a couple of hangers on who forgot about the traditional muffins!!

Hilary won the quiz hands down, Kev sulked, Matt claimed he "knew nothing" and did really well and Piglet Shirley wasn't helped by her hand held trivia game!! Naveed won the booby prize and is under orders to return to WDW to swot up!!

Thank you again, and Sally wants to know when the next one is!!

Yes, thanks to Tammy for organising Kevin into organising the meet! I had a great time and wish I could have stayed longer (especially as I was late getting there ).

I hope everyone got home safely, and that those who will soon (very soon for some ) be off to WDW all have a fantastic time!

p.s. I would have had a great time even if I hadn't won the Quiz!

Yes, thanks so much to Kev and Tam for organsing and Shirley for the quiz. However, I must insist that Shirley relinquishes the role of Quizmaster back into Hilary's safe hands. It's the only way anyone else will ever win!

We had such a great time and Kev is really going to have his work cut out for him next year - he's planning a whole weekend! It was lovely to meet Kaylee and Alan, and Dot (Grandma Stringer), as well as old friends.

Thanks very much to all who came, a great time was had by all.

Just a few points:

Thanks to Hilary who won the quiz by a country mile and then didn't pick the much sought after Disney door handles for her prize because she knew my girlies were after them.

I did not sulk! I just went quiet for a short while.

The photos are great Deb. And they don't actually show the reaction to my jokes. If I had told a joke there would have been tumbleweed blowing across the pub floor and the sound of the wind howling. The people shown in the photos are clearly still awake.

I did notice the distinct lack of Matt in any of the photos. Selective editing? I know he took all the pictures but someone must have incriminating evidence on him somewhere.

nwr, I'm in the penultimate photo on the far left. Matt isn't in any because I don't know how to use the camera. Hilary did take some, but she's not entirely sure how to post them. She thinks there may be a facility on the DIS, so watch this space...

I have photos of Matt, but I'm still waiting for the ransom money to come in from the Premium Economy Virgin Lounge before Deb and Matt fly out in a matter of hours.............

Hi everyone,

Had a great time yesterday. Thanks to everyone for not taking 'the pen' . You just know that long drive down in to Dorset would have been hell if someone hadn't got their own way.

I thought Kevs' jokes were the funniest jokes I have ever heard.

Have fun everyone on their hols - we promise to try and be better now and not just lurk.
