Good morning all! I don't know if this is the right place, but wanted to let you all know that after the first two weeks, I lost 9 pounds! I feel better all ready AND I got to have oatmeal for breakfast this morning... and it is so good! Have a wonderful day!

:thewave: :thewave: 9 pounds, how wonderful for you. You are off to a great start. Kepp up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, go get your 5 pound clippie. Although you might be in the market real soon for that 10 pound clippie:teeth:

It's been quite around here lately. I just wanted to check in to see how everyone was doing. Plus wanted to say I made goal. I've been on this journey since the last week in January. 9 months to lose 53 pounds. I'm am so happy and know that I'll be eating this way for the rest of my life.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Sheree, you RULE ! That is about the most gorgeous, sparkliest, splendiferous clippie I've ever seen!! Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!!!

I totally knew we had some big action coming down the Beach, and I was right!!

Jeanne, nice going, too!! Nine pounds is tremendous, and I remember how good that oatmeal tasted the first time! Keep on doin' what you're doin'!

I've been going around in such circles lately, but all of you are such an inspiration -- I'm going to strike out with new determination, and capture that elusive next clippie for myself!!

:sunny:

You all are making me blush :o Thanks so much. I feel like it's been a long journey, but it was so worth it. I know we all can meet our goals. Especially if I can do it:teeth:

Sheree---Congrats on reaching goal! What an accomplishment. I hope that you will still be on the boards cheering us all on to our goals.

I've been on SB for 5 months now, and I'm hoping to reach goal before my b-day in February. 10lbs to my goal, and 15 to my ultimate weight. I know that I will make it!

Thanks leanne. I know that you can make it too. I never thought that I oculd feel so accomplished about anything, boy was I wrong. Keep it up, and you will be there in no time.

Good morning Beachers!

It's been a while since I've posted but I wanted to stop by and see how everyone is doing.

I wanted to share my stats with you guys for encouragement even when the scale doesn't appear to be cooperating. The month of September I bounced around with the same couple of pounds and basically just stalled, I was very discouraged.

A couple of days ago I did a comparison of two of my profiles on www.mybodycomp.com which is a great site to keep track of your measurements. I compared my profile from mid August to the beginning of October and in 7 weeks I lost 16 pounds of body fat, gained 7 pounds of muscle, lost 20 inches and lost 5.77% body fat. I am very happy with those stats. So even when the scale isn't cooperating, measure, measure, measure. It makes a big difference in seeing your body reshape itself!

Sheree - I posted on your goal thread but I wanted to say again how absolutely giddy with happiness I am over seeing that you have reached your goal! You have worked so hard for it girlie and deserve every shining moment of satisfaction you must be feeling. I also appreciate how you said that you see how you can eat this way for life. I feel the same way and know other Beachers do too!

leanne - I know you'll make your goal, you have done so well these past 5 months!

thotfulspot - you sound so determined that I know a new clippie is just around the corner for you!

Otto's Doll - congrats on losing 9 pounds! That is just awesome. You must feel so good. I hope you are enjoying adding back the grains. Yummy oatmeal, sounds good.

crz4mm2 - congrats on your 3 pounds loss! Keep it up!!!

Lisa, thanks so much. You know that you were my inspiration. I would see you losing that weight, and it would push me harder. Everytime I thought about giving up, I would think of you. You lost 80 pounds and made it to onderland which is nothing to sneeze at. I kept thinking that if you could get it off, so could I. This is a great plan and I truly hope that we all get there.

Hi everyone!

Just checking in this week. Could not sleep, so decided to surf the DIS.

This past week I had to make an investment in new clothes for work. I cleaned out my closet and got rid of everything that did not fit anymore. Needless to say, it did not leave me with very much. I did NOT want to keep any of my big clothes. I hope that I would NEVER fit in them again. ::yes::

So, ordered some pants and shirts from Lands End. Size 14 pants and shirts. I thought they might be a little snug, but lo and behold, they fit perfectly. I cannot remember the last time I wore sz 14. I know size 12 is not far away.

Less than 2 weeks to our trip. I'm hoping to lose a few more pounds before we go. The Food and Wine Festival will have a lot of temptations, but I'm planning on walking everything off.

Hope everyone had a good week. Keep up the good work!

Hi all.
We just finished week nuber 8 on SBD.
I am happy to say I have lost 14#. I have also lost several inches :)
Bought new jeans last week and will probably need smaller ones when I reach goal :)
Hope all is going well for all of you.

Leanne,
Great going!! Fun to get new clothes that fit your new body!!

Hi all

Big News. I bought a new wind breaker and it was an XL no 2, 3 or 4 after it (the jacket I was wearing was a 4xl). It just fits I could not wear a bulky sweater under it (yet) but it was 30% off and I didn't need to pay the $2 big and tall surcharge. I still need at least a 2XL in most shirts though.

I tried on a pair of 46" blue jeans and they actually fastened. They were tight but they fastened. I am getting rid of my 52" pants they are just too baggy anymore. My 50" are still wearable with a belt for now, and my 48" are comfortable. (I started buying 50"+ over 8 years ago.

To date I have lost 30lb while on W.I.S.H and about 40 overall. But I have found I am a little smaller now at my weight than what I was going up. I think I am replacing some of the fat with muscle.

I currently am walking at least 2 miles a day at least 3 days a week. Last Saturday I walked 4 miles. Their is a paved Rails to Trail path in our county http://www.kokosinggaptrail.org/ and my next long distance goal is 6 miles from Mount Vernon, Ohio to Gambier. Once the weather starts turning cool I will probably replace 1 of my miles with some exercise bike and weight training. I teach part time at college and have a three hour break between classes that I have been using for lunch and walking and grading. I can use the Gym on campus to do the weight training.

Next week end I am going to Kings Island in Cincinatti, OH and I am hoping to be able to ride Flight of Fear. I have not been able to ride this coaster since 2001 when they redisigned the restraints replacing the Over the Shoulder restraints with a lap bar. I will let you know next week how it went.

wow, you guys are doing great! I did not have a good weekend, I strayed off plan, but am going back on phase 1 for a few days to get back into it. I love this plan, and how it allows for, and accounts for, weekends like this!

I did a bit of straying this weekend too. Today is my birthday and we had a few 'celebration' dinners :) over the weekend. I expected to have gained weight but instead lost a pound. TOday, I went shopping for new jeans. Imagine my utter delight when I put on a pair of size 6!!!!! Levi jeans. I can't tell you how many years it has been since I had a size 6 of anything on.. It was just the cut of those jeans though, cause when I went to the Petite store for dress pants, had to get size 10 (which is still WAY better than size 12 and looks so much better too!).
Keep at it everyone.

:wave2: Hi everyone. Been offline for a while. Switching companies. Anyway, glad to see everyone still doing great. A bad weekend or day is nothing. We are all allowed as long as we get back on it and not let a bad day or a bad weekend throw us off for the long haul::yes::

I am so happy to see all the progress we are making, keep up the good work everyone:bounce: :bounce:

Thanks Lisa and Thotfulspot for recommending that I find this thread. All the stories here are inspiring!!!

I'm now at the end of Day 5 and so far I feel like I've done well. No cheating at all, no cravings. Tonight I turned down my favorite bread at my favorite restaurant. I knew we were going there when I started on Monday and I wondered if I would be desperately licking my fingers after I tore the bread for the baby! But to be honest, I didn't feel like I was missing out.

And DH even commented tonight that I already look different.

:sunny:

Well I went to Kings Island yesterday (see previous page). The bad news was it was cold 30's and 40's all day with strong wind. The good news is I was able to ride Flight of Fear. For those of you that don't know, Flight of Fear is a launched looping coaster like RNR but with a lap bar like Mummy. I needed ride op help getting one more click to ride and it was tight but I could ride (more around the thighs than the waist). By comparison 1 month ago I rode Mummy comfortably with 2 clicks in the red. All of the other coasters were more comfortable also. We didn't stay long it was just to cold. I will weigh myself tomorrow when I get back home but I should be getting a new clippie soon (I was 1.5 lb away Wednesday).

Congratulation to everyone on the board you are a real inspiration to me.
