SOOZE Return of the Band Geeks! What's Next Update! p.25 10/10

Ok... I like to consider myself organized, but recent events have convinced me it just isn't so.

PLEASE HELP!

Several weeks ago, maybe even months, I made about 7 ADRs for our trip. I had a lovely page in a notebook set up noting days of our trip, EMH, park hours, parade and show times... and the confirmation numbers of our ADRs. Then, I was going to take this notebook page, transfer it to Excel, email it to myself.. and then I would have it on my iPhone. I was also GOING TO type the confirmation numbers into the calendar on my iPhone, so I would be covered.

Wellllllllll.... yeah.... That notebook sat by our home computer for weeks. I'd look at it every once in a while and think, "Gee, I should get this into the computer"... then life would happen and I never got to it.

Can you see where this is going?

The notebook is now GONE. G.O.N.E. GONE:scared: I have searched high and low. I am assuming one of my children or their friends got a hold of it for one of their imaginative play times, and it has disappeared. Along with all of my ADR info.

I called DVC member services, but since I made my ADRs online, and not through DVC, they had no record of it. When the CM typed my last name into the system, nothing came up. He wanted to help me so badly and was even going to search the restaurants' data bases, but I couldn't even give him a date and time of one of my ADRs, because I had no idea when they were.

Yes, I did receive email confirmation from the online ADRs, but, since I had it all written down already, I deleted them.:headache: STUPID, I KNOW!! I tried retrieving my trashed emails, and had no luck with that.

So... is there any hope for me?! Any suggestions. I'd hate to start all over again, because I was able to get into LeCellier... I'm sure that's not going to happen now, since we are 42 days out.

Miserable... please help....:flower3:

Sooze.... in for another fun trip to read all about!

As for your dining fiasco...

I would call Disney dining. I think they can look it up. I know we have gotten printouts from the front desk before that listed all our adrs. I know you will have to know which phone number you have the adrs attached to.

I think the system on the computer is messed up to retrive . I looked at my email, because I too don't have them on a paper, just an email and tried to go into the system and find it, but it was hard to do.

Wow! You've had some GREAT roles! Marian in Music Man is a dream role of mine. Unfortunately, I am now of Widow Peru age.... no more Marian dreams for me..:sad2:

Here's my quick rundown: I was Robin in Godspell (Day by Day song!), Mayzie LaBird in Seussical: the Musical, Miss Flannery in Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, in the ensemble for Sound of Music and Miss Saigon, and I just finished playing "myself" in Jerry's Girls, which was a musical review of Jerry Herman music. Up next.. ensemble in Oliver! I just LOVE doing community theater!!:lovestruc

Thank you!! They were sooo much fun!! I really miss doing theater!! You also had some nice roles!! Oooh--the narrator in Joseph!!! We LOVE that musical! We have the DVD of the one with Donny Osmond and my girls watch it over and over again!! :lovestruc

Sorry to hear about your ADRs!! I don't know what to tell you because our TA always books ours for us. Surely they have to be in the system somewhere?! Right?!

I agree with IluvXU call Disney Dinning they should have you ADR's attached to your phone number.

Guess what everyone?! I FOUND THE NOTEBOOK!!!:banana: While I was cleaning the house up and down for Shae's birthday party, I stumbled on a notebook and decided to flip through it, even though I was SURE it wasn't the one I used... well... THERE IT WAS!!!

I quickly logged all of the information away, so we are set! YAY!

I'll be doing an update today, then at the one month mark, I'll let you know our itinerary!

1st of all, I wanted to share with you some pictures from our New Year's.

:confused3 Huh? Why would I do that on this PTR?

Well, we took a drive over to Cincinnati on New Year's Day for a genuine (pronounced "GEEN YOU WINE") DisMeet! I'm sure I'll be getting these ladies on board soon, so, I thought you could see our families hanging out together!

Here are the three of us (DDDisrunner/Diane, Sooze/Susie, and Timandlesley/Lesley) Diane and her family had driven to Cincy all the way from New Jersey! Diane and Lesley's families have been hanging out at WDW together and they've gotten to be very close! We decided to crash their party for a while!;)

Here is Matt hanging in Tim's 'man cave' (which was decorated in the most appropriate way) with Diane's husband, Bryan.

This is Lesley's DD, Lauren (AKA "Miss Brenda") giving Shaelyn a makeover!
P1050528.jpg

These two girls had the BEST of times together. Poor Lauren had been hanging out with three boys all weekend, so she was glad to have some girly time!

So, what were the boys doing? Playing video games, of course. And, I guess, trying to make the goofiest faces possible! Lesley's DS, Luke is on the left, then Ty, then Diane's boys, Matthew, and Eric.

Here are Shae's feet after "Miss Brenda" did her pedicure:

:rotfl: Don't you just love it!? Shae was so excited to have her new feet courtesy of Lauren!

It was a wonderful day filled with great food, lots of laughs, and dreams of Disney, of course! Thanks Lesley, for hosting! And thanks, Diane and family for making the extra long trip!

What's next? How about some pictures from Shae's birthday party this past weekend!? Shae is a Valentine's Day baby. She just turned 4 yesterday! She wanted a Pixie party with Tinkerbell. Enjoy!

Here she is ready to party:

The guests around the table:

Blowing out the candles: (Yes, I made the cake);)

And, if you're interested and might be stuck inside with lots of snow and have nothing else to do... here we are singing Happy Birthday to her!

Finally, here she is with her "big" present. Can't wait til it warms up and thaws out and we can take this for a spin!

Hope you enjoyed those! Now... on to the events of last night! We had an official BAND GEEKS planning party last night! Since we were all off of school today, we thought it would be a good night to get our countdown calendars made. We also made lists of our top things to do that we have not yet done at Disney. (I'll be sharing this later!)

Here are the kids posing with the countdown calendar. We didn't do Mickey head paint chips this time. We are just going to cross out the number each day.

Shae wanted a turn:

The last bit of this update is that Matt and I have been trying to knock out our taxes this weekend. It has been a miserable experience. Both of us earn a bunch of extra income throughout the year doing band/color guard stuff. It's wonderful to have the extra money, but it's PAINFUL at tax time when we have to claim all that extra income.

How is this affecting our trip? Basically, we have decided NO SOUVIES on this trip! We are also looking into cutting a few ADRs and doing more 'grocery' shopping for stuff to keep in our studio, so we aren't eating over-priced Disney fare as much as we wanted to!

Stay tuned... trip itinerary coming eventually!

Hi I'm here. Great update. It was nice hosting you guys. Just wish I didn't open that post up with Lauren sitting on my lap, she was upset she wasn't included in Shae's b-day to do Miss. Brenda makeovers:sad1:.
Hope she had a great b-day.
Lesley

It's so great you get to perform with your son in Oliver. I'm working with my third graders for our production of the Wizard of Oz. LOVE musical theater!

Your kids are so cute! I love the pedicure :rotfl:

:guilty: Oh NO! We really thought about calling Lauren, but with your Gatlinberg trip, we knew it wouldn't work out. Tell her she probably had MUCH more fun than if she were here giving make-overs!

Glad you made it to the PTR! It just wouldn't be one without you!

Welcome!!! Glad you are here! Do you teach 3rd grade? I did for two years and LOVED it. This is my first time in 4th grade... now that some of them are starting that puberty thing... I think I've decided I prefer 3rd!

Hi, I'm joining ! Your PTR title caught my eye, because I will be traveling with my DDs in March for their concert band to play at Disney.

My DH travels to IN at least once a month to work at a plant his company has there. He usually flies into South Bend, the plant is in Mishawaka (did I spell that right?) :confused3

Your family is precious, and such a sweet birthday! :goodvibes Looking forward to reading more!

You did a great Job on the countdown calender. It will be fun marking off the dates.

The pictures of Shea birthday party were fun. We will need a video of riding her new bike when the weather warms up.

The New Years Eve pictures looked like a fun time had by all. It was great you all were able to get together.

:banana:Welcome!! Glad you found me! When will your DD's band be in Disney? Where are they going to be performing? I know the marching bands usually stick to Magic Kingdom, but concert bands? Maybe Epcot? When I was a senior in HS, we did the Magic Music Days at Disney, too... awesome band trip!!

Mishawaka?! That doesn't sound like a fun business trip at all! I hope he doesn't judge Indiana on that locale! Thanks for checking in!

Thanks so much! We were going to really cheap-out on the calendars this time around but were really pleased with how they turned out. Thankfully, Adrianna showed up with a bunch of color pictures to add to the calendars. Otherwise, they would've been really bland!

Can't wait to get that video... warmed up weather just sounds so far away right now..:sad2:

Yay! :cool1: But, for future reference - just in case - the Dining line can absolutely look them up for you, byt email and/or telephone number. :thumbsup2

Their band will be performing on Saturday, March 20 as part of Festival Disney . The website states that bands will perform either at DHS or Saratoga Springs. They won't be informed of what time or the exact location until a few weeks before the performance. That really puts a cramp in my over-planning mentality! :headache:

He's never said anything bad about Mishawaka---says the people are very friendly. It's just cold! Where are you located in relation to Mish?

You need to update your signature to reflect the birthday girl's new age :thumbsup2

I was hoping last time Tom and Matt talked at school about Disney, that he would convince Tom to try out the Epcot area resorts. No such luck :sad2: Tom wasn't convinced by Matt's love of BWV to book a vacation there. I'm still working on him though

Hope you guys have a magical SB :wizard:

I was about to try that route, but, thankfully, didn't need to! So glad I found it!!

Glad to see you, Dan! I see you have another PTR going... I'll have to stop by and visit! We live on the west side of Indy, so it's a quick 15 minute drive to the airport for us:thumbsup2

Aw, we will miss them by six days....:sad2: Saratoga Springs?! That is random! What HS kid wants to perform at a RESORT?!:confused3 Oh well, if it means time spent in Disney World, I guess it's all worth it! Hopefully you'll find out soon, so you can get to planning those details!

We live just outside Indy, so we are quite a ways south of Mishawaka... maybe an hour and half or so...

:scared1: Thanks for the reminder! I kept thinking about it for several weeks before the birthday. Now that it's past ,I completely forgot!

Sorry Matt couldn't convince Tom to do an Epcot resort! He'll keep working on it! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you hang around for the report!

YAY for a DIS meet!! How fun!! It looks like everyone got along great and really enjoyed themselves! I got to meet up with several DISers on my last trip to WDW and we had a blast!!

Happy 4th Birthday to Shae!!! She is adorable in her Tink costume!! My oldest DD, Ally, wants a Tinkerbell party on her next birthday (it isn't until September, mind you--however she is a planner like her Mommy :lmao:). Cute cake!! My hubby always makes the cakes for my girl's birthday parties--it just makes it that more special!! :goodvibes

What cute countdown calendars!! Ally and I just made our countdown chain for our May trip--all 90 something links! Ally insisted on starting it WAY in advance!! :goodvibes

Got it place for me to park my car and have a taxi service (sooze) take me to the airport when i need it.
:thumbsup2:laughing:

Aw, thanks! I think she's pretty adorable, myself! Love that your Ally is a planner too. Is that her in your signature with Jasmine (on the left)? And a hubby that makes cakes?! You've got it made!
