Not WDW/DL related, but I thought some of the CLOTs (and others) might enjoy the laugh.
I'm going to Asia over Christmas and used FF points to book the trip and, therefore, booked in February to get my First Class seats.
Being a worrywart, I've been checking my flights - both through my FF booking and the actual airlines (my booking had me on three different airlines). My original booking had me flying from home to Chicago (with a 23.5 hour connection so I could visit with a friend without it counting as a layover) and onto Asia. I was to fly:
home-Chicago on the 22nd
Chicago-Asia on the 23rd
However, United canceled the Chicago-Asia flights over Christmas. Didn't bother telling me OR my FF program (not United's). They rescheduled me:
home-Chicago on the 22nd
Chicago-Asia on the 21st
Anyone else spot the problem
I do have it sorted. And then ANA moved it's flight, so I went through fixing it all over again! In the end, all is well. And, I moved to a routing that actually would have cost me an additional $700 or so had I booked it originally (since the airlines I'm now on charge way more in fees/taxes than my original booking).
I know that the changes are done by a computer and not a person, but one would think that they could build in a logic check that stopped things like my new booking.
