Tell me something that you wished you had packed for your cruise after the fact. Something that would have made things easier for you or helped in any way.

Pain killers! They are expensive in the cruise store and the store only opens when you are at sea so restricted times. I am sure you can get them from medical first aid on the ship but it's easier to pack them. Also items like band aids , sea sickness pills etc. My issue was also I packed way too many clothes rather than not enough!

A collapsible drink carrier. Didn't have one on first or second cruise, but have taken them on everyone since. I grab a few cups of coffee early in the morning and head to satellite falls to meditate, do yoga and/or tai chi. It's a beautiful way to start my morning and the drink carrier saves me from going back to get coffee over and over. I use it several times throughout the day as well.

From various cruises - sunburn relief; anti-diarrhea meds; extra paper (for writing comments on).

A pop-up hamper. I didn't want to slide suitcases back and forth and we also had suitcases packed inside each other to save space under the bed. We ended up with a pile of clothes under the desk. A small hamper would have been helpful to contain clothes.

Do be 100% honest my preferred brand and type of feminine products and Midol. Seems like with out fail no matter how I track or how consistent I am that time of the month rears it's ugly head on vacation. The cruise only carries 1 type (1 tampon and 1 pad) and then getting it in port can sometimes be more difficult depending on what port. Some have little pharmacies and CVS close others do not. So now I pack enough just in case.

Besides that not much of course I'm not traveling with kids yet so I'm sure that will change!

For women... My pricey lesson learned on my RCCL Med cruise was pack TWICE AS MUCH feminine protection as you think you might need. At least in Venice, it is cheaper to be a smoker than to be a woman at that time of month!! (And travel can really mess with your schedule!)

Truth be told we felt like we over packed, didn't lack for anything but next time probably won't take half as much.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who seems to have had this problem on vacation. I agree that the prices are ridiculous in some countries! I've also gone to some places that *gasp* have the non applicator types and I for one was not for that. I know it is totally normal in Europe and other countries but for me that was not what I was use to the first time I had to buy it.

I feel that way here most of the time! LOL :headache:

True... Though at least here a pack of cigarettes is *usually* more expensive than a box of tampons. In Venice a pack of cigarettes was close to 2 euro less expensive.

I go back and forth. My yoga studio has a jar of the non-applicator type, and I've used them even before that, so it wasn't a huge shock. The price compared to cigarettes was though!

More casual clothes, especially yoga pants, for during the day. Inside areas were too cool for my liking for shorts, but I also wanted to be more comfortable than I would be wearing jeans.

Yup. Not so much on the cold part, but casual clothes. I tend to overpack, and I pack basically 2 outfits a day, one for the day, and one for dinner. Dinner wasn't as dressy as I was expecting. And I could have easily worn shorts more than once. This time we're going to WDW before and after the cruise, so I think i'll just plan to wash a load of clothes on the ship early in the cruise.

A lanyard for the key to the world card for each of us. They are way overpriced in the gift shops on board and without needing a purse on board, there isn't a great way to carry them, especially with shallow pockets or kids who were gym style shorts.

I have always loved all the tips on this board for what to bring...problem is I seem to bring them ALL and really don't need them all!!! Next cruise I am paring down on what I bring. I will no longer bring a whole medicine cabinet with me...I'll just bring the essentials..a few band aids, pain killers, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. I do love to bring my own pump soap...I hate bar soap. And not a necessity but I keep forgetting to bring my binoculars...next cruise I will!
