read about the removal of the chix strips. too bad. i actually never eat them. but when we were at MGM/HS or whatever name it is now...

there seemed to be this enormous controversy regarding
counter service just in that one park. that was all I heard about all summer before the first trip. so we ate at Backlot Express, and i said , who knows - they all seemed to be disliked. well, low and behold, we loved it. DH had a great fresh fantastic burger and the fixing bar had everything, and i saw someones chix basket and got that. it was really good.

sorry about the website i listed in the 2 above posts. did not know it was on the black market list.

now you know, universal would never remove chicken strips from their food places..............:rolleyes1

do we have an update from rose on her dad?
remember he has cancer and started chemo recently.
rose, fill us in on it.

hope carol is doing fine. i know tricia is on her way to the doc for joshua so hopefully she will fill us in also on her sister when she returns.

and josh also.
Hi Mac and everyone :wave2:

Chrissy was a real bear getting her ready for school this morning. She cried all morning b/c she wanted a snow day so bad
DH and I told her last night to don't bet on a snow day- you WILL have school today. Which there is school today.

Mac- you probably had about close to same amt of snow we got here.

Mac, thanks for asking about my dad. Update on my dad. He is doing better, not 100% better, but better at least. Latest chemo tx. he had was about 6 weeks ago. His blood counts look better lately- doctors are please he is doing better. My dad went back to work about a month ago. He still needs to gain some weight back. That's basically it with him.
My mom called me Sunday night, after we got back from the swim party thing. So she gave me the latest scoop on my dad, grandma, etc.

Oh, talking about the Cub Scout swim thing Sunday night, Matthew went for his Aquanot badge/ requirement- for cub scouts. He had to do certain things in the pool, swim a couple of laps of certain swim strokes, etc. He did really well! I was able to soak my right knee in the jacuzzi at hte pool area for about 15 min. My knee is doing better.

Mary- prayers and mummy dust that all goes well with your oral surgery to get your impacted teeth out today. Got on some pain meds when you get home.

Tricia- hope all goes well with Joshua's MRI  He will do fine. It's more frightening for the parents most of the time than the kids.

Chrissy had a head MRI done w/ sedation, when she was 20 months old.
The docs were concerned about her small head, in proportion to her body.
She still has a small head. No real explanantion about it. I think it just goes with her DiGeorge syndrome diagnosis.

MAc- prayers and mummy dust that Mr.Mac gets better. Too much skiing over last weekend maybe??

Hi to all. Gotta run.

we are all waiting for an update on the girl that called our Matthew:goodvibes
THanks, Penney, for thinking of that. :)
I have no news to tell you on that, sorry.
Matthew said no girl came up to him yest at school. So maybe this girl wants to be anonymous? I don't know.
Tomorrow night, there is this school thing going on, Reading and Writing Night, where the kids display their stories, etc. Matthew wrote a fictional story about Pokemon. So we may go if I'm up to it. THere is supposed to be some children's author showing up also.
Maybe Matthew's secret admirer will show up tomorrow night? We'll see I guess :rolleyes1
Too many school things going on that I'm having a hard time keeping track of all of it :scared:

Mac I hope Dh gets to feeling better and know how he feels since I took that spill on the ice last week I still feel sore and not at my best right now but try to keep going as best I can.
Just can't wait til july hits so that we can finally get away from this place for awhile cause I an getting cabin fever :dance3:

Rose I wish I was getting them out today ...:lmao: . Not until the 19th of MARCH  .
I am a little nervous about it I too have the same problem as you Mac . I have one that is breaking throught he skin totally sideways . It is amazing . I had two removed way back when my DD Katie was born that was almost 13 years ago . Now why I didn't do all 4 then was with a 3 year old and an infant well who wanted to do that ?? :confused3 NOT ME .

I am really looking forward to Thursday Lori . I will let you know by Saturday or Sunday if it as amazing as they say. Though I hear it takes atleast two weeks to adjust to it . I am just looking for sleep :cloud9: that doesn't require me to be on a boat :lmao: . My current mattress is so warped it is like sleeping on a rollercoaster or in the middle of waves .:lmao: :rotfl2: .

Have to go look at some scrapbook information . Still looking at the Circut machine and found some scrappers on the DIS .:thumbsup2 .

See U all Later :surfweb:

We're home. Joshua's MRI went find and he decided to go for it WITHOUT sedation. They showed him the machine and the list of movies he could watch while he was in the machine and he decided he could do it awake and stay still. He did. He looked so small strapped to that table and the machine was so noisy, but he stayed still and did exactly what the tech asked him to do. He amazes me all the time, but I gotta tell you, this was a biggie. Never in a million years would I have thought he could handle it without drugs.

I wish they could have sedated me. ;)

well, i get the darwin award today.

i THOUGHT i had ordered the birnbaum and UG guides for DL.

I ordered the birnbaum correctly, and got the Disneyworld ug book.

so, I just ordered the correct DIsneyland UG book, and also ordered the first in the Twilight series. Marcie gave it high ratings, and the editorials and reviews gave it two thumbs up as well.

Betty showed up and baked a german chocolate cake and is frosting it later, and me and Bigelow are going to have tea.

Saw on CNN that 90k plus folks in Atlanta are without power.
anyone heard from Tricia re the appt????

All my wisdom teeth were impacted sideways in my jaw and there were all removed at the age of 16. ONE AT A TIME.
That was also when dentists woudl do some of that work.
This was like 1983. Before anti-inflammatory drugs were out.:scared:

Yeah, lost some weight then. cannot eat if you have chipmunk cheeks for two weeks at a time!

Probably not tonight. I'm exhausted. I'd probably have a few sips and fall asleep. Of course, that's not a bad idea...

My sister had one too and she was shocked when I told her he made it without sedation. She said she had a hard time and she is 49!

Yep. Just when I think I've got them all figured out, they pull the rug out from under me. I told Joshua how proud I was of him. He just shrugged and said it was no big deal. :lovestruc

WOW...that was an intense little storm we had. Wind gusts of 40 mph and lots of thunder...not much rain.

Glad it's over...now the cool weather returns.
