Evening everyone!!!

What a long day...not bad, just long.....

And one of my windshield wipers isn't working

Mac, hope your hubby gets better soon

Tricia, I'm glad everything went well Joshua

Glad you DF is no longer a smoker Barb! :thumbsup2

Jodie...work on that man to quit!

Thanks, Lori...he's gonna need it!

Feel better CM, I know what tooth pain can do to a person!!

Everyone I missed, hope you are enjoying your day....just think, tomorrow is Wed!!

I heard that rumor a while ago...right after we were there! DH & I had such a great time there.... I couldn't imagine them closing it :confused3 But, you have to go early...cuz even going early, it gets busy quick! We played the old video games.... Burger Time, Q-bert, etc...I'd have to look them up...but what a ride down memory lane!!!!

Besides, if they 'pack' the place a lot....why would they close it?? Doesn't make sense? :confused3

Ya got me! Makes absolutely no sense.:sad2:

I would like to thank you all for keeping things down to a low roar for me. I am afraid I will be around very little for the next few days. It is crunch time for the baseball carnival! Very busy around here through Saturday. And then baseball really starts next week. I know we will be gone at least 3 nights a week until bed time. I will pop in when I can.

Going to hit the hay in just a bit. Nite everyone!

... does no one do searches anymore? I get so sick of answering the same questions over and over, and it makes it worse when no one bothers to even look beyond the same page before posting a same or similar question.

Yes...i've noticed...and it's a pain...but, i remind myself how "lost" i first felt coming here and try to 'direct' them in the right direction....AND casually mention that 8 threads lower, they'll find the same answer :rolleyes1

... I am hoping for Bob on our way down to the port. Roger is OK, but Bob is soooo much better and I really cannot stand Roger's music. BTW, I see they raised their rates a bit. Instead of $90 R/T from MCO to the hotel, they are now $100.

Say "hi" for me....we'll see them in June and July :goodvibes ....and tell 'em we want Bob too :thumbsup2 (they are making a first impression with us!) ....guess we're paying the higher rate for our 3 legs....I only called THIS year :confused3 No matter..... The important thing is to GET where we gotta go.....

OK, I'm sorry. Enough about me and my ticked off self ...

Catch me up with everyone.

Who is sick?

we were, but we're better now...and, Tricia's crew was sick...but they're getting better......

Who needs a hug?

who couldn't use a hug? :confused3

Who is owed congratulations?

uhhhh...... :confused3

Who needs a "you can do it!"?

your MIKE!!! :thumbsup2

Who is ticked off like me lately?

Janet got up on the wrong side of the bed yesterday..... :confused3

Who was that woman who won best actress in a leading role last night?

:confused3

Why do I have to watch The Green Mile every time it's on TV, even though I've seen it 12 times and it's 6 and a half hours long?

it's just because you do

I actually liked Disney Quest. I think I was in the minority though? I nearly peed my pants playing Pirates of the Caribbean. Thought that was almost worth the price of admission alone!

us too :goodvibes That was GREAT!!!!

Yeah. This is the MRI under sedation. I don't think he could last 45 mins in the coffin with the airplane noise without moving, so I approved the anesthesia. Of course, this means no food or drink until after the test.

There will be much whining until lunchtime tomorrow.

Sooooooo, since he forewent the anesthesia, our boy starved for no reason?? ....or wouldn't he have been allowed to eat/drink anyways? :confused3 (never had a MRI...sorry...I don't know....)

just an fyi

you know I just had to go and research the condition kait had surgery for :upsidedow .....its called Clinodactyly

http://www.childrenshospital.org/az/Site1160/mainpageS1160P0.html

her right hand was repaired, the left was not. she is right handed and it was the worst of the two sooooooooo

ok - off to the dryer

Wow...that sounds really rare! Was it painful for her? I'm sure post-op wasn't fun...but, it's very interesting..... I learn something new everyday....I've never heard of this.....

For those who asked......No, our DS doesn't get an allowance. My parents didn't give us allowance. My DH did get allowance & spent it on things he shouldn't have. :sad2: (I realize that depends on the child.) Anyway, I guess it's a passed down thing. We'd rather him have to answer for the money he spends. If we don't agree w/ what he wants to spend it on, no moola for him. I know that doesn't work for everyone, but it has for us so far.

I didn't get an allowance either....BUT, my Saturday bowling was paid for  I hated that deal....the whole idea of getting an allowance is to learn to handle money. Luckily, I'm a pretty good saver (when I'm not spendin'!) Bubba gets an allowance, but does have chores (or, the term HE prefers is "responsibilities") ...if he misses just 1 for the day, he doesn't get paid.

It has paid off...I will tell ya, my son can shop the sales and work his gift cards with his money saved for allowance and get some sweet deals :thumbsup2 Long story short, he needed/wanted a new Nintendo DS. Between his allowance money and gift cards, I think he put $30 out of pocket (allowance money) for it....good deal!

tarheelmjfan said:
How'd ya manage that? Do tell! I want some extra money. :p

Well....FIL sent the 'family' money for Xmas in 2006 and we didn't spend it (I won't spend "gift" money on bills or my house...that money is for US!). We had a yard sale last summer, made a few hundred $ we haven't spent yet. Hit the lottery in the late fall a couple times for about $400 each time and FIL sent us more money for 2007 Xmas....so, we are sitting on about $2500 that we haven't spent yet....but, our cruise is due April 1st, and I'm thinking we'll need about $300 out of that to pay that off

I'm sure you'll be shocked to read that I don't have a photobucket or similar account. ;) I'll work on setting that up today.

how's that workin' out fer ya?

Well, I tried catching up on posting, but I really don't feel like it today. I'm afraid I've herniated another disc. I'm going to dbl. up on my pain pills & see if I can't get as high as Janet's mom. I hate going to the dr. I feel like I live there as it is. :sad2: If I continue to get worse, I'll have to soon. :( If you all get a chance, please say a prayer for me. I could really use it.

better than prayers: mummydust :wizard:

I hope you are doing better today.... herniated discs are NO fun! Hope you don't have to see the doc....but, then again, he DOES have the GOOD stuff :rolleyes1

I believe several of our peeps should be happy with that race.

Miss Penny has Carl Edwards
Barb has Jimmie Johnson (who came in second)
Lori has Jeff Gordon (who came in third)
Tracie has Tony Stewart (who came in seventh)
Sharon has Kevin Harvick (who came in eighth)

Lots of Top Ten folks around here today!

You have NO idea how :yay: I am!!!! (not doin' bad for being a " * ") :rotfl2:

Sorry to hear that and know how you feel cause I was just told by a doctor that no matter how careful I am that my neck and back are so bad that I would herniate the disks all the time so I know your pain and hope you feel better soon

So, you are out of work for good? You're "retired"!?

Ok here is what you do...

When you run across those posts come over here, tell us you are referring to something stupid in another thread, then vent away about it. That way we can get our chuckle out of it and you can vent off some steam. It just isn't the same without you at least saying hi or something else regularly. We really do miss you.

 PERFECT!!!

see - orange is a GREAT color :woohoo:

sez YOU :snooty:

How about THIS post (click me) - I'm getting ready to LOSE IT on this TROLL :headache:
4.gif

well....no 'recent' activity...I'd say it was a "troll".... and they way they worded it...they weren't even asking 'nicely' for help...just "i don't like this, that and that". My answer would have been: "If you have to come here and ask, then my answer to you would be 'no'." :teeth: (definately a troll and not someone looking for 'genuine' help ;) )

Afternoon/evening peoples...I thought I would share some pictures of my Azaleas and Orange Blossoms that are blooming. The Orange Blossoms have a smell I can not describe...they smell heavenly. I also included one of the new chair.

Since i just KNOW you are NOT rubbing it in.... :rolleyes1 ....thanks for posting pix of the warm! I think "Mother" is confused here....my tulips are peeking out of the ground! :confused3

There are plenty of houses for sale in my area. I'm trying to get Mac and Brab to move down...come on down. You'd love it! :teeth:

Pay off my house here and take care of our health insurance, and we are SO there! ;)

Hey everyone!

OK I'll give you the rundown for the weekend...I will post pics of the bro's head when my sis uploads them onto the computer....

OK....leave Fri morning during the snowstorm...takes about 2 hours to get to Rutgers (not that bad). Get there to watch the bro swim and their relay makes ECAC's (the next level of swimming)...which means he has to swim this coming weekend.

Leave the pool and head to Denny's :goodvibes Mmmmmmm....

Check into the hotel and it is nice, indoor pool and everything.

Drop our bags, relax for a little bit and head back to the pool for finals. Watch my bro swim again and go back for some shut eye.

Here is where our night gets interesting.....

We hit the sack and are awoken at 2 am. A rowdy group of drunks were put in the room across the hall.

Still waitin' on those pix.....

Congrats for your bro....what a way to go!!!

You should have asked to be moved and upgraded for your room. That is disturbing the peace and you could have called the police if the hotel staff wasn't taking care of the problem! I woulda. I'm glad you were satisfied with what the offered you..... as long as YOU are happy...THAT is what matters! :thumbsup2

i found a clone of me in the world

So, I got hired by a place we all like and have orientation next week.

I have an interview with a chiro office tomorrow AM. Depending on the Outcome, the above statement may become null and void.

Okay....congrats on the "favorite place" hire....care to share any other details? :rolleyes1 And how did the chiro interview go?

I really have to stop eating more than one sizzling cinnamon gummy bear at one time. :scared:

I wouldn't mind doing everyone's taxes

Hear that homies?? Jennifer is doing our taxes.....:woohoo: no charge ;)

Tricia - have a safe trip - hoping all goes well for you. Treat that little one to a nice meal after his test.:grouphug:

Whooooot!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Can't wait to see/hear about the trip!!!

I was really surprised that it was Mardi Gras and the parks were not that crowded. Being that it was a last minute, spontaneous trip, we stayed offsite and the waits weren't all that bad. The longest wait was for Disaster. Here's DH in line at Disaster being bored.....
Disaster1.jpg

Although he wasn't as bored of waiting in line as he was tired of hearing my sister (who went with us) complain.....

:cool1:
So...what was the story behind this wonderful husband of yours' great escape?? :hyper:

OK, well since you asked....we found a deal on a stand-up tanning booth that we couldn't pass up....it was in Deltona, FL, so we thought.....TRIP to UNIVERSAL!!!!! Also, my little sister has been really down....her fiance is working in Iraq and she needed to get out, so we took her with us.

oh....forgot to mention....guess what was all over my front lawn today??!!??

That reminds me...
have any of you ever seen the commercial where there is a guy in a grocery store and through the whole commercial there is this kid with someone else throwing an unbelievable fit. At the end of the commercial it shows that it is a condom commercial. Something along the lines of don't forget them or another good reason for them. Been a long time since I saw it but it was hilarious. Think I saw it on Ellen or something.

:confused3

....the stinkin wind was blowing 90 miles an hour, at least it felt like it. We got home at 9:30. By the time they were finished Ally & I had gone to the car and were watching from there. He said they have a scrimmage every night this week.:sad2:

This has to be the most spontaneous thing we have ever done! We didn't decide until Thursday that we were going and we left on Friday morning. We spent Saturday at US/IOA. Mardi Gras was GREAT! We got to see Third Eye Blind and it was a really good concert!

Uh...you DO know you ARE riding the ride this summer.....right?

Nope! Well, maybe.

:confused3 :confused3 i'm a " * "

I have no idea either. I was watching and had run to the school to get money to Mikey, who by the way was already gone. When I left there were just 20 some laps to go and Jeff was in the lead. :confused3
