Yeah. This is the MRI under sedation. I don't think he could last 45 mins in the coffin with the airplane noise without moving, so I approved the anesthesia. Of course, this means no food or drink until after the test.

There will be much whining until lunchtime tomorrow.

I think that was best. That big machine probably would have been very scary to him. This way he won't even know what is going on.

Kaitlyn went under anesthesia twice in her early years and did fine. At 3 or 3.5 for ear tubes (that was a quickie) and at 5 for surgical repair of her thumb (that was a 1.5-2 hour thing) She was born with her thumbs kinda hooked inward (left is still at a 60 degree angle and the right was REALLY bad a 45 degree angle) towards her hand. I forget what it was called, but THAT was a really long summer in 2 casts (her thumb had pins in them too)

anyway - sorry about the digression - I really hope all goes well and be sure to let the little guy know we are thinking about him

That poor baby. I bet that was a very tough summer.

Same here alot of yelling and screaming last night when youngest DS found out simpsons wasn't on due to all the delays in the race last night and just couldn't make him understand and kept telling him dad doesn't run the network

The Simpson's were on here. I changed the channel when they switched to it.

For those who asked......No, our DS doesn't get an allowance. My parents didn't give us allowance. My DH did get allowance & spent it on things he shouldn't have. (I realize that depends on the child.) Anyway, I guess it's a passed down thing. We'd rather him have to answer for the money he spends. If we don't agree w/ what he wants to spend it on, no moola for him. I know that doesn't work for everyone, but it has for us so far.

I have never given my kids allowance either. I let them choose whether they want an allowance and that is all they get or if they want to continue with me deciding if they get what they want. They have all been smart enough to know that they get way more spent on them over what the allowance would be.

Well, I tried catching up on posting, but I really don't feel like it today. I'm afraid I've herniated another disc. I'm going to dbl. up on my pain pills & see if I can't get as high as Janet's mom. I hate going to the dr. I feel like I live there as it is. If I continue to get worse, I'll have to soon. If you all get a chance, please say a prayer for me. I could really use it.

At least she had it taken care of young so she doesn't have to deal with it later in life, right? Kids are never simple. They should put that on a warning label somewhere. I'm not sure where. Condoms, maybe? WARNING: KIDS ARE NEVER SIMPLE Scare the crap out of those who are on the fence.

That reminds me...

have any of you ever seen the commercial where there is a guy in a grocery store and through the whole commercial there is this kid with someone else throwing an unbelievable fit. At the end of the commercial it shows that it is a condom commercial. Something along the lines of don't forget them or another good reason for them. Been a long time since I saw it but it was hilarious. Think I saw it on Ellen or something.

I believe several of our peeps should be happy with that race.

Afternoon/evening peoples...I thought I would share some pictures of my Azaleas and Orange Blossoms that are blooming. The Orange Blossoms have a smell I can not describe...they smell heavenly. I also included one of the new chair.

Hey everyone!

OK I'll give you the rundown for the weekend...I will post pics of the bro's head when my sis uploads them onto the computer....

OK....leave Fri morning during the snowstorm...takes about 2 hours to get to Rutgers (not that bad). Get there to watch the bro swim and their relay makes ECAC's (the next level of swimming)...which means he has to swim this coming weekend.

Leave the pool and head to Denny's Mmmmmmm....

Check into the hotel and it is nice, indoor pool and everything.

Drop our bags, relax for a little bit and head back to the pool for finals. Watch my bro swim again and go back for some shut eye.


Here is where our night gets interesting.....

We hit the sack and are awoken at 2 am. A rowdy group of drunks were put in the room across the hall. They were slamming doors, running in the halls, screaming, and carrying on. So we called down and told them what was going on and the front desk said that they would send security up. So 2:30 am rolls around and it hasn't gotten any better!!! So I call again, and no one answers!!! I keep trying til 3 am. Well I doze on and off and at about 6 am the noise finally stops.

NOT THAT IT MATTERS NOW!!

So we get up and change. Well still exhausted, I go down to the front desk and decide to "share" our night with the manager. Well the front desk apologized and said that they will check the security tapes and get back to us.

We were also told that we would receive 500 starpoints.....(we are part of the Starwood Preferred Guest Program and get points.......hotels typically are 3000-4000 pts. per night) for any trouble.

Well at that point we had to leave for the meet....watched the bro swim (again) and went to Fuddrucker's for lunch....DELISH!

Then back to the hotel. My sister, DF, and I took a short swim and then showered up.....and guess what, still no call from the manager!

Well after I was dressed I spoke to another manager and explained the entire situation. The two mangers apologized and asked what they could do. I had told them that 500 pts. would not make up for the "worst night we have ever spent at a hotel." The manager told us that we would receive 4000 points and would treat us to breakfast.

Well we went back to the meet for finals and then back to the hotel. While we are watching TV, someone knocks on the door and says "room service". We open the door and find that management sent us a fruit and cheese plate

Finally get a good night rest and go down to the breakfast buffet. My dad was in awe! Fresh omelets and hot sausage! The meal for the four of us would have been $50!!! But we got it for nothing!

So we check out and watch my bro swim for the rest of the day and head home.

Now we have to decide if we want to go to Pittsburgh or not....we shall see!

woman, do you know how much snow and ice are on the ground right now?

Oh yeah, I know. Of course we don't have the snow and ice but I think the stinkin wind was blowing 90 miles an hour, at least it felt like it. We got home at 9:30. By the time they were finished Ally & I had gone to the car and were watching from there. He said they have a scrimmage every night this week.

If things go right in the next few years me and DW will move down there but we have to wait and let DS's grow up and move out

So, I got hired by a place we all like and have orientation next week.

I have an interview with a chiro office tomorrow AM. Depending on the Outcome, the above statement may become null and void.

Well here to say HI and Good morning

It has been a very stressfull two days and I still haven't up loaded my photos yet. I worked in Pre-K yesterday and well those kids will make anyone tired .
Then off to the DENTIST and yes the WISDOM teeth have to come out.

Not only that but I have to be put to sleep to get them out because of the position they are in. . This now means that i am even more nervous then before. I can't even have them removed until the 19th of MARCH . I would have perfered sooner. So our DIS teeth stories will continue.

I am so ready for spring now .

Gotta go clean the only thing looking up here is that I will FINALLY get my sleepnumber bed on Thursday . I can't wait to sleep on it and not have a lump in my back everyday .

Mary good luck with the teeth. I had to be put to sleep to have mine removed too but I was 17 at the time! They had not started coming in they just new there wasn't room for them in my mouth. So much for all those people that said I had a big mouth!

Can't wait for your bed to get here so we can hear all about it!

mary, i had my wisdom teeth removed as an adult and was put to sleep for it. mine were impacted and coming out sideways.

i had all 4 done at the same time.
don't be scared. it is a piece of cake while you are asleep.
it's when the novocaine and dope wear off that you feel awful........

be sure to ask for many scripts w/refills for Vitamin V...

and, the best part of having teeth cut out, you lose weight!!
you have no interest in food for a few days.

i didn't go to work today, but will have to leave the house sooner or later.
son went out and shoveled for an hour to clear out the drive.

his shoveling job never passes my inspection but then, i keep my mouth shut just in case he passes the job back to me............

have mr mac home sick as a dog.
it will be a long day for him.

i closed the bedroom door last night at 9 and gave him nyquil.
checked on him at 6 this morning and his fever has spiked.

i did the right thing then.
i turned around and left the room.

when i hear him moving around, i'll give him more meds so he'll go back to sleep.
i'm a good wife.

have to go to chicago tonight and pick up one son from the train station at 10 pm. hoping no more snow and the highway is clear by tonight.

going to curves later today.
