i'll never admit it:rotfl:

i still think it could be a pokemon or an re-animated pickle (frankenpickle?)

think i'm in a carb induced dilerium...

mrs St L okie dokie?

mac - i'm warming up the tube for idol, don't want to miss it again this week

yeah she has still has the sniffels and stomach pain has gone away which is great.

I'm about to call it a night gang.

I took Daniel for his 6 month cleaning at the dentist this afternoon. He cooperated quite well and kept his mouth open the whole time.

Of course, he was screaming his bloody head off, so the open mouth was just a side effect.

He has a couple of teeth with decay (no big surprise, the whole reason that he is already on a regular checkup schedule is because Joshua had a horrible time with his teeth... resulting in a full mouth rehab at age 4). We'll be back in a week for a scrape and fill. Sigh. I am SO looking forward to that.

Nightie night.

wendy, how do you wear your hair?
you said it is long.

do you wear it up, pulled back or down?
mine is long and i wear it down most of the time.

Lots of ways. . . sometimes up, some up with some down, curls (hot sticks or hot rollers), straightened, ponytail, braids, although I rarely wear it all down because it's too long . . . really, really long. . . past my hips long. I get lots of comments about it. . . get's annoying. . . . and strangers touch it from time to time. Well, that freaks me out :scared1:

Couple weeks ago I was with my dd20 and my grandson. We were at a grocery and some random lady walks past me, reaches out and touches my hair and walks on. My dd was like. . .omg, did that random lady just touch your hair. . . sick. . . maybe she wiped but didn't wash. I was like. . omg, YOU my dear, are sick (now I have to go home and wash my hair).

Everyone thinks long hair takes so much time, but I think shorter hair that requires lots of styling time takes so much time. My hair takes a long time in the shower. . . forever to rinse. . . but I can dry the front and pull it up in 5 minutes. I wash it every day too.

Hey, I need some help from all you Southwest experts.

My mom is flying down from Detroit to Orlando to go to WDW with my brother and his family next week on Southwest. I was talking to her tonight, and she said "At least with Southwest I don't have to worry about checking in for my flight or printing out a boarding pass beforehand!"

Okay, conceding that I've never flown Southwest; however, I'm pretty sure that it's pretty important to check in beforehand and get the A boarding pass? I tried to explain this to her, but really don't know how it works.

Is it pretty much like any other airline where you just check in online at the 24 hour mark? How critical is it to do it exactly then? If she's flying alone and would pretty much just like an aisle seat in not the very last row by the restrooms, will she be okay if she ends up with a B boarding pass? How quickly does it go from A to B?

Any other advice?

Mary - at least your laundry is multiplying in one location. My boys tend to leave it accumulating behind the bathroom door, on the floors of their rooms, stuck behind the chairs in the family room, in their closets, etc. I'll lose my temper and scream at them and tell them to bring me ALL laundry and suddenly I'll have 5 loads. But if I go in their rooms and just pick out laundry to wash, then I get yelled at because they were "still wearing that" or "saving it" (yes, DS15 holds on to clothes that SMELL like his girlfriend and won't let me wash them! :rotfl: Yeah, he's obsessed!).

WOW .... I can't believe he is that obsessed I bet she has him doing this :worship: if he is that hooked . I thought that only girls were that bad with their clothes all over the house , still wearing that or it really isn't that dirty mom . I don't get it :confused3 I just wear it and then wash it too much work with these teens .

Lori we are so proud of her you can't even believe it . We always knew that she had it in her and just needed to bloom :flower: . Well now we are almost at a garden .

So the rest of our day was OK but our DD 12 is punished I had to retrieve her cell phone from the dean of her JHS and well we are not happy with her so she will do without the phone for a month or so . I am really   upset with her .

Not feeling so bad today but not yet myself so I will lay off the drinks for now but boy would a huge pina colada by the pool do me some good this week .:dance3:

Off to bed tired and need to get sleep before the 5:30 AM :teacher: school wake up call .

I just wish they would have raised the sales tax and eliminated property taxes all together.

They had something simple and politics took over. Typical!
I was told about the idea back in late 2006, and I thought it would be a GREAT idea. Anything to lower my rent.

From what I've heard, all you have to do is check in for Southwest and you get a "boarding pass" which means you can get on the plane. That's it. You have to pick your seat, so if you want a good seat, you have to line up early. I prefer using American Airlines or Delta, personally.

Southwest has changed their boarding. I just flew it a month ago. Now when you get your boarding pass, it gives you an assigned spot in line. At 24 hours you can print your boarding pass. Mine was printed at exactly 24 hours prior and said something like this: Boarding A, 23. Then when I got to the airport, boarding A was called to stand by their number which was 1-60. You went in that line by numbers into the plane where you then picked your seat. Then Boarding B lines up by their numbers, and then C. I hope that makes sense. If you want a good choice, you need Boarding A. Now getting there early doesn't get you any advantage. The boarding pass of A, B, or C and that number is where you'll be in line.

Won't be able to ketchup before boards go down :( ....do it in the morning.....

Nite all!!!

I do not look forward to more snow tonight/ tomorrow :sad2: :guilty:
I hope my kids don't have a snow day again tomorrow. They will already have a half-day of school Thurs and off all day Friday. I have my parent/teacher conferences for both kids on Thurs afternoon.

Hope the kids don't end up with a snow day since you don't want it. Good luck at the conferences.

you got them same priorities huh??

Yep!

Um...okay....I'll bite.....WHY?? :confused3

I just meant I had an extra one for the new place.

BUT, what if you DO like it? :rolleyes1

Hmmmm! You have an excellent point!

::yes:: I agree......(then again, that's just me)

So I guess that makes two of us?

Nope...sorry....I was told I won that award :snooty:

:rotfl:

Can we share?

My jobsearch drive is shot for the day. :worried:

Better luck tomorrow.

for the sticker silly

That’s why I do it. That and so I can complain.

drive by hi!

DS survived his physical, with 2 shots got "the look"

he had the same ear packed with wax again, they dug some, washed it out & dug some more - i nearly passed out watching the junk come out:rolleyes1

pronounced another infection, as the dr. gave me "the look"...i mumbled he didn't complain about any pain:confused3

poor lori - bitten by your pet, neighbor's horse nipped me once too. I was trying to feed him an apple & neglected to remove my fingers quick like...them horsies have big ugly chompers.

pizza is here:woohoo:

Glad he survived the inspection! :rotfl:

Did I have a pet bite me? Sorry I am confused.

It's right there in the Pledge of Allegiance. "And to the REPUBLIC, for which it stands, One nation..."

Okay, you and Janet made me think of this commercial: http://www.splendad.com/ads/show/1708-Verizon-Wireless-Pony

Yeah I had an uncle that had one of those when I was little. Those horses are mean!

you never did share what they said and what you said happened.

we are all ears............spill it homie

I wanna know too.

I was just kidding Lori - I knew where you guys were hiding! I was even here back on page 1! ;)

I knew you were kidding!

And I've tried that with the laundry, but thanks to Grandma, my kids have SO many clothes that they could probably go for months without needing them. They'd throw their jeans in the hamper once a week and they'd be set.

I would still let it pile up. They will eventually run out and have to do some laundry.

I think everyone backed off a lot after last winter. I think by this point last winter we'd had like 4 inches. We did get a lot the end of Feb/early March, but it was like two weeks of a lot of snow, not the two months (and probably more than four feet!) that we've gotten so far. This is definitely not a typical winter! (I say with my fingers crossed hoping!)

Oh, I thought this was a normal winter.

I wouldn't hate conferences if it weren't for the way they do them here. The schedule appointments, try to fit in 8 teachers times 3 kids into two 3 hour periods. And the teachers run behind and make you late for the next one. I feel like I spend the entire time watching the clock and going "so how's he doing? Really? (Distractedly) Well, gotta go!"

Ours are scheduled at the elementary school. I stopped going to Michaels conferences when he was in the 5th grade. Teachers said there was no reason for me to come anymore. I know he makes good grades. I know all of his teachers. If they were to need me they would call.

who's up for a field trip to machu picchu or is that picchu machu?
machu-picchu-01-500.jpg

i'll bring the snacks:thumbsup2

I’ll go with you. I need a break from the kids, the grandkid & most especially from dh!

Well...that's a really long story...and I'm getting ready to do my workout....I will tell it later...kay? ;)
