Morning Fletch!

Shhhh - barb is sleeping in - no work/school today and feeling:sick:

Katie - That is a very nice necklace!:cool1:  :cool1:

Akdar (Mike) - our Nascar guy is #18. Not too bad, considering I never heard of him. Penny - I almost picked Bill Elliott as he was sponsored by Little Debbie and I love their snacks. Good thing or I would be like damo and have to pick again.

Tricia - HAVE A SAFE AND WONDERFUL TRIP! We'll be here when you get back - looking for a trippie!

:) Jennifer

wendy - ok, think i scored a 50%;) ; don't think DS will know the difference; racing isn't real big around my area...except for neighbor who has 3 flags hanging from the front porch....all from the same bracket in varying heights:

#1) Dale the Intimidator - which is hung the highest, then 1/2 staff it's

#2) Dale jr (guess he needs a new flag lol)

#3) American flag is hung underneath the 2:headache:

keeps all 3 illuminated though @ night:rolleyes1

also has his truck, suv, and his fleet of work trucks plastered with enough stickers that it's tuff to determine their color.

I think the red, white and blue is always supposed to be on top. . .then #3, then #88. . . and, yeah, your neighbor needs a new flag is he's flying a red #8. . . :sad1: it is no more:sad1:

My license plates say Urnhart 2 and I have a couple decals in the back window (one for little E and one for the #3) :rolleyes1

ENJOLI PERFUME!

Come on - I sing that jingle all the time.:cool1: It must have really made an impression on me.

:lmao: got a few takers! evidently, a good campagin...even the youngling (barb) has heard of it.;)

kfed - beautiful bling...believe a turtle symbolizes something as to good luck:confused: ; otherwise just a great present...you have a keeper!

need to drag DH to hospital for lab work today, then he'll whine for lunch...we used to make fun of the old people who turned medical appts into a day out...what comes around, does go around.

That's a shame :sad2: What exactly do you do? (or where do you work?) Hope you are spared ;)

I engineer. I've got 20 years in here and have managed to take some duties that no one else wants to do so I have job security (I hope).

I think we need to try this.

WAKE UP!!!

Everyone must still be sleeping.

d'jall take the day off:confused3

dh got his blood drained;) and was rewarded with lunch @ applebees, i had fish -not setting well; usually really like their food

tomorrow he wanted to go & try secure a table down @ Station Square area for romantic dinner - it's always busy & several hours wait for tables isn't uncommon; despite a plethora of restaurants to pick from - don't take ressies though. The thought of waiting outdoors in the cool isn't appealing. I hate the trend of restaurants only doing walkups in our area.

local place we visit for "special" occasions (that does take ressies) has a "special valentines day menu" all this week - effectively, doubling their prices:rolleyes1 .

Guess we'll go early & hope for the best @ Red Lobster tomorrow.

sooo, what's up for everyone else this weekend beside watching the race & looking for tricia (we should've told her to wear lime green:idea: or a funny hat so we could pick her out in the crowd).

Damo- :goodvibes
and everyone else:goodvibes
you got until 9 pm Eastern Time Zone Friday night to post a change for your driver for the season -
the season runs feb to mid november.

races are sunday's with a few sat nights thrown in, we can post official results next days. drivers get points for various things like leading laps and so on, any we can see each week how each picked driver does.:surfweb:

so, if you wanna change, do so now. Yes, you can have the same as someone else.

Oh, so this was not just for the Daytona 500 but for the entire season? Do you think I should stick with my guy or does he not have any chance whatsoever?

its up to you, Damo.:goodvibes
anyone could win any race or the whole cup thing come november.

Don't shoot the messenger. . . . . but, it is not likely your guy is going to do very well at all. Not that that's a bad thing. . .some of the other picks probably won't do great either.

This is very, very true. . . every race is a new chance. Any driver could win at any time. . .you never know what will happen in NASCAR. One wrong move could take out the top 15 drivers in any given race.

Having said that. . . I stand by my prediction that your guy won't likely have a great season. There's lots of factors, but he's new and needs a few seasons under his belt to see if this type of racing is really his thing, ya know. Montoya (eeewwwww) came in like gangbusters, but that doesn't usually happen and we'll see what his staying power is like this year. It's going to be interesting, however, seeing what has happened so far and they haven't even raced for points yet!!
