Evening everyone!
My day started with me accidentally rubbing my right EYEBALL with a towel . . .what a goober

but then it started bleeding. . yes, that's right. . . my EYEBALL STARTED BLEEDING!

It was so freakin scary my dd11 ran out of the room crying. She thought something tragic had happened and my eyeball fell out or something.

Then my wonderful, loving, caring, supportive DH came running in and started laughing!?!? What the. . . he said that he couldn't help it because I was flailing and dancing and hopping around and make weird noises and chanting "ow, my eye is bleeding. . ow, my eye is bleeding, oh my god my eye is bleeding". . . then when he looked at it he was no longer laughing. He did say sorry, sincerely, and said he just couldn't help it when he first saw me. (boy am I gonna get some mileage out of that) Being the goof that I obviously am, I go to work with my eye hemmorage and gross out my coworkers. I finally went to the doctor around 1:30 this afternoon. . . it was around 7:00am when I raked the giant hole in my eye. . . and they said there was really nothing to be done. It will heal much as a bruise does, meaning it's going to turn lovely shades of green, brown, yellow etc, etc. And, oh yeah, it's going to itch like crazy, but I mustn't rub it (I have shoes older than you doc!) and here's a script for antibiotic drops and get rewetting drops to stay moist. Here's the good part, when he asked me to take out my contact lens, I said ok, I need to wash my hands. . he's like, you wash your hands first? I said, well of course, doesn't everyone? Doc responds, I never wash my hands before I take mine out

I said, dude, you are a doctor and you don't know to wash your hands before you stick your finger in your eye??????? Hello?????????? He did not inspire confidence, I can assure you of that. Plus he told me stupid stories while he was in the exam room and asked me if I knew exactly how long my hair was. . .as in had I ever measured it?? Doc Duffus at his finest. . . dh kindly says he was just trying to have a good bedside manner, but he's very young and inexperienced so give him a break. . . yeah, like's that's gonna happen.
For those of you who might have seen my HRH customer service concerns thread, I am happy to report I'm currently working with some, shall we say, upper management to get things resolved and they are slowly restoring my confidence.
Kids are home from church and getting in bed so I've got to go tuck in. BBL
