:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Sharon...do you own that wrapping paper, or did you see it in the store....and how do you have a pic of it...:confused3 .....THAT is way too funnie :rotfl:

I survived Wal-Mart.

We played "as long as we're" a bunch today. You know... "as long as we're going to Wal-Mart, let's get this stuff"... "as long as we're going to Wal-Mart, let's check K-Mart too"... "as long as we're fixing the closet, let's clean out some of these old clothes"... :faint:

Closet is fixed and cleaned. We have enough batteries to last for... oh... a day or two with the new toys. I think we're set until the next surprise.

Phew!! If you hadn't checked in, we would have sent the search party.... Glad you survived Walfart (sorry, that's what we call it here) and even managed to bring everyone home together.... So, tell me...exactly HOW bad was the store and what I am so grateful that I'm missing.....

still off to the movies, despite wind is howling, 60+ mph...xmas decorations rolling down the street. Gingy cowering on the mantle lol

barb u r a riot, if i left Gingy in the kitchen someone would wind up eating him in a frenzy. shared your sign with DH, he's still laffing his tail off...a fate worse than death:rotfl2: :lmao:

note - 1/2 my presents are unwrapped, guess i have at them in the am.

have a good night.

Let us know what you saw and what you thought... it got windy this afternoon here too...but, I don't put much out, and what IS out isn't going anywhere :thumbsup2

You'll have some time in the morning....Christmas EVE!!!

Poor Gingy...I'm gonna start a "Save Gingy" campaign :teeth:

where can i get a gingy? only at universal or do you folks have some ideas??????

kudos for the big welcome to Kevin Everett who was gravely injured in Sept playing for buffalo, and being able to walk in today-:goodvibes

anyone else horribly sickened by the Political Holiday Messages- thought they would at least give it a rest this week but NO!

i might be making cheese straws next weekend.
or, i could just drive 20 minutes to Sharons house:idea:

is it me or do they keep moving these freakin' smilies?????

Penny...the only place I've seen Gingy is Universal...he's a tough cookie to find.... :lmao: Maybe Todd could pick one up for you  :confused3

I saw on the news that Kevin walked into the game
2.gif
Good for him!!! They thought he'd never walk again.... glad to see he's worked hard and proved the docs wrong :thumbsup2

I don't think politics ever get a day off :sad2: Isn't Iowa caucus Jan. 2 or 3rd?

If I were you, I'd go to Sharon's house and MAKE cheese straws WITH her  She seems to have a good system workin' there.... :rolleyes1 (Be gracious and bring a bottle of wine with you.... ;) )

I noticed they moved the smilies again...after Friday nite's "fatal errors" and the boards bein' down... I  when they move them around.... :headache:

yes she is wonderful and she will show me how much if I don't:scared1: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: And why are you here then :confused3 Go get it man!!
2.gif

On a side note......

HAVE YOU CHECKED MY TICKER? :scared1:

Christmas is almost here.... :santa:

Roll one cheese straw, sip of wine, roll another cheese straw, sip of wine....
sh*t, toooo many cheese straws, I'm going to run out of wine....

Woot! Did this with the cupcakes I made for our "potluck" for Christmas Eve. Am 1/2 PUI (took me forever to figure that one). Sharon, loved the wrapping paper! Sissy gave me a bottle of Merlot last night as she doesn't drink red. I agreed to take my niece for Christmas night into Wednesday morning and drop her back off at her mom's work. Seems like a good idea at the time. How long do I have to wait for cupcakes to cool before I ice them? Fine. She's not my niece, but my cousin's kid. Only one who lives in NJ.

Janet, wait, I'm confused. I read something about son ponying up $25 for game and procrastinating. Maybe I need to read later. I bought cupcake holders with aluminum and paper separators. Can I use the paper separators as cupcake holders? will they burn? I hope not, cuz I used them anyway.

I have to work at 6:30 in the angry mike hours tomorrow. that sux.

Think cupcakes are done. Maybe? perhaps I should try one or two? No wonder my pants don't fit anymore. Perhaps I should join Mike in our gym. BBL.

Well...I'm off to bake some toll house hockey pucks and watch The Amazing Race.

:confused3 What does a 'hockey puck' taste like??? :confused3

(if you mean cookies, the trick is to have 'fresh' baking soda ;) )

Jodie...I wouldn't use the paper separaters...but then again, you probably already did.... hopefully they weren't flammable :scared: Are you baking because it's Christmas, your "niece" coming over, or you just had a craving for cupcakes?? Nah, no matter....still cuppiecakes :woohoo:

You guys have fun bakin'.... after 7.5 hours of it...I think I'll move on to something else now

Hi folks on Christmas Eve Eve! A stopby from a horrible day weatherwise here! I've been singing the "Let it snow" song all day because it's so appropriate. The weather outside is frightful (snow, 40mph winds), but the fire is so delightful (Got the fireplace going), but since we've no place to go (yay!), Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! (Although at least one of those snows should be changed to blows with the way it is out here! But at least we're just hanging out here - opened some presents, played a bunch of games, & cleaned youngest DS' room (with about ZERO help from him since he gets distracted by anything). Anyways, onto the multiquoting!

sounds like you really had a boring day!

hope your son does well christmas eve

Thanks - I'm looking forward to seeing him doing something different at mass. Now that piano is commonplace, it'll be kind of cool to see him on the drums/tuba! And hopefully will keep him entertained during a long mass! Speaking of which, we went to mass last night (he played the piano) and the church was full (which surprised me with Christmas just a couple days away), and we were out in less than an hour! Couldn't believe it - I don't think our masses are EVER less than about an hour and 15 minutes. Must have been a speed sermon!

Barb, congratulations to Bubba on his Tae Kwon Do (sp?) commitment award! :woohoo:

Janet, loved your cruise pics! I am still dying to know how well the RPR treated you. :goodvibes

Guess I didn't go far enough back to actually quote Barb, but I also wanted to add in my congratulations to Bubba! And to agree that I want to see and hear more about the cruise and RPR!

Sharon, I got an adorable card from you. Thanks!

I know I haven't caught up. I haven't even read everything, but I've tried to keep up somewhat. We have a new project we didn't expect. We were having breakfast this morning and heard a crash in our bedroom. After exchanging WTH looks, we ran into the bedroom. Everything looked fine. What? Something made that noise. I finally checked the closet. Yep. The bar holding all my clothes in our walk-in closet fell.

Ditto on the card from Sharon - thanks! I was going to send one back to you, but figured now I'm past Christmas! We'll see how motivated I get to get you a New Years' card instead! Maybe valentines day?

Tricia - I can't tell you how many times this has happened to us. Old house, new house, added in support bars and it still happens. Think that's a subtle way of saying that we have too much hung on them?! When I was at some training in the military, they put us up in this cheap little motel. It had one little clothing bar, which I hung my uniforms on. By the next day, the entire thing ripped out of the wall. Remember this little foreign lady (owner) coming in and screaming at me that I wasn't supposed to hang things on the clothing rack!!:confused3 Um, ok!

Talking about birthdays, Happy Birthday to Loribell's DD, Ally!! :bday: :cake: party:

Oh, the temp dropped 40 degrees during hte night last night
It's in the teens and windchill below 0, with 40+ mph winds! Yuck! I rather have the fog we had yesterday than the weather we have today in Chi town.

Okay, I'm stealing Rose's birthday smileys for you Lori (and Ally)! Wish her a happy birthday for us and have fun celebrating! Where's our cake?! :rotfl:

Rose - We got the same thing here! This morning somewhere in the 7am range, within a half hour it went from 40 degrees to 16 degrees, with a wind chill of -2. It's been icky all day, if I didn't mention that! ;) But it POURED much of the night - actually much of the snow was gone this morning, but now everything's frozen over. Going to be fun driving tomorrow!

Dh wants to see Golden Compass later. Hear series is rather anti-church, etc. especially last book. Bought the trilogy for Xmas.

Can't believe how many people have warned me about that book/movie! Okay, I understand "God" dies or is destroyed or whatever. It's fiction! :confused3 I've had people tell me I shouldn't take my kids to go see it (I probably never would have even thought about going in the first place) - now I think I want to go see what all the fuss is about! I mean, don't you think teens can understand "make believe"?

Seems like a lot of work....especially if you're going to end up 'redoing' it...AND they better snowboard for longer than an hour... :headache: either that, or have them help you next time

Well, actually Barb, it's DH and I who really want to do the snowboarding! :scared: The kids go because we make them so if I told them to adjust their own, they'd say "oh, well, I don't know how, guess I have to ski instead!" Now of course they're all BETTER than we are, and of course DH and I haven't grown since last year (well, not height-wise! :rotfl: ) so I don't have to adjust ours, but I want the boys coming with us. But really, it'll be probably an hour before they'll be bored. We'll ski the rest of the time.

DM - I thought of you when I saw this wrapping paper!

Wanted to add in that I loved the wrapping paper too! I want some!

I have to work at 6:30 in the angry mike hours tomorrow. that sux.

Well, I guess I should count myself lucky that I don't have to go in until 8:30am! But my boss was babbling about how we were going to have a "planning" meeting much of the morning. Yes, I just love spending my Christmas eve morning listening to my boss expounding on how we're going to do everything different in the new year! Oh, joy!

Well, everyone have a great Christmas Eve tomorrow! I'll try to catch you all later in the day, although between work, then trying to go out for lunch with DH and the kids and then church, there may not be much time! I'll best most of you won't be here either so have a great Christmas for those I don't see until after then!

Used the paper separators; they were fine. Maybe they'll stick later, but they didn't catch on fire. Bonus.

Baking cuz my company is too fricking cheap to do anything at all for the holidays .. no half day, no party. Nothing. They want us to do a pot luck. but I think cupcakes may not be cool enough to ice the icing so screw it. No one is going to bring in anything anyway cuz they didn't tell us of potluck till Friday night and those that put up the posters telling us to bring a dish for potluck aren't even going to be around to organize it. May just bring them in on Christmas day for all the poor shlepheads like me who are actually working the holiday. I have no idea how I'm going to bring them in anyway. I have no tupperware.

My company sux. They promised Mike a promotion in ;ate Oct/early Nov. Told him the paperwork was in; just needed to be approved. His paperwork was approved by our first regional Vp. first regional VP happened to retire. Then second regional VP came in and approved the paper work again, just in case 1st RVP retiring invalidated approval. He's still in limbo and promo didn't go through. If they got paperwork through before the end of year, his bonus increases 5%. Probably why corporate is keeping his paperwork in limbo. Butt faces.

Wonder if niece will actually come over on Tuesday or if she'll panic knowing that mom and dad aren't sleeping over too. She called me tonight saying she was bored. Her mom has to work all week, so My Hammie was going to have to go into work with her mom if she doesn't come spend the night here. Although she likes her mom's work cuz they have a kewl cafeteria. She's 6. She loves my house because she thinks I have a "dancing room." That is just my tiny den where I put on the digital radio channels on our TV and we dance like idiots. Some day she won't think that's so cool anymore so I enjoy it while I can.

Todd, I just read that one team on AR thinks about making a permanent change to their body (bodies?) to help them win the race. Please come back and tell me what in the world that was.

I should go drink some water.

Rest of family in Atlantic City right now. Hope they're winning. I shouldn't be typing this. Sure I'll regret in morning. And, oh, remind me that I need to double check that I paid my bills online properly in the morning.

Smell ya later, babies.

Meh... It wasn't *that* bad. Fortunately, we didn't need anything in the TOY department or the ELECTRONICS department. People looked crazed in those areas. Seriously. Like gimme-that-b*tch-slap crazy.

We stuck to the boys clothing and grocery/health & beauty areas and were completely unscathed. Checkout was a breeze since they had EVERY checkout line open for the crazys, but the crazys were too busy beating each other senseless over toys to checkout. All in all, a pretty entertaining afternoon. I recommend it if you are a bystander... not so much as a participant...

Jodie....on the Fast Forward, the team who attempted it had to have a permanent tattoo of the letters "FF" applied to their bodies. Nick and Don did it and took the FF. Kynt and Vyxen finished in last place but it's a non-elimination leg...one of only two...so they didn't get eliminated. BUT...there's a new twist...next week we see a "Speed Bump" that occurs sometime in the next leg and it's a Roadblock that only they MUST perform while the other teams keep racing. Should be interesting. :thumbsup2

The paper liners between the aluminum ones are just plain old paper baking cups. The same ones they sell by themselves. I use them all the time. I just don't use the aluminum and paper ones at the same time. The aluminum cups bake slightly faster than the paper ones (since aluminum conducts more heat).

You can never tell what a 6 year old will do. What sounds fun today might sound scary when the actual time comes. You can never predict.

I haven't been to Atlantic City in a few years. I've given a few dollars to Trump, but I also won my largest jackpot there. Don't get excited. It was somewhere in the $400 range. I don't gamble much and only the quarter slots.

I hope you remembered your water. I don't think you've typed anything you'll regret in the morning. You should go back and compare one of my sloppy PUIs.

Oh, and I'll try to remind you about the bills in the morning.

Good night homies and hope you all had a great day

We'll be heading up your way on Friday. :) Looks like you're in for a white Christmas?

Yes, A white Christmas for sure. Kinda dingey white now, could use an inch or two of fresh stuff. How long are you in Maine? Do you come up to the Portland area at all?

i might be making cheese straws next weekend.
or, i could just drive 20 minutes to Sharons house:idea:

Mine look like those sour gummy bears things. You know, kinda squiggly like. I guess I need to practice making snakes... Ah, I mean gummy worms!
I think I bought the wrong cheese, I got Cracker Barrel white, thinks it was supposed to be orange. I sprinkled them with paprika to give them some color. They taste wonderful. I'm eating a few now with the last if the wine. wow, this typing business is hard....I bought a bottle of disgusting Chard at Sam's casue I like the blue bottle. After a few glasses it started tasting better. I have two other blue bottles that I rescued from a bottle drive and I have them in the windwo over the sink. But i wanted a third.

Sharon...do you own that wrapping paper, or did you see it in the store....and how do you have a pic of it...:confused3 .....THAT is way too funnie :rotfl:

I owns it! got it for free cause I spent $$$ at the Think Geek catalog. Got like 6 huge pieces. DS is going to love it.

:confused3 What does a 'hockey puck' taste like??? :confused3

My mothers' biscuits...:lmao: :lmao:
