Good morning all-
I guess good afternoon to most of you on the east coast :)

I know some of you asked how National Treasure- Book of Secrets movie is. It is awesome! It really was good. I highly recommend to see the movie :thumbsup2 I think they left it open for a 3rd sequel, tho I don't know if a 3rd sequel is being filmed yet.

The birthday party went well. The kids had pizza and b-day cake before the movie. DH and I stayed during the whole time. Unfortunately, us parents didn't get free pizza or cake-that was for the kids. DH and I bought our own hot dogs for lunch, as this party started at noon. We had to buy our own movie tickets, too, for us, the kids got in free- with the party. I knew we had to pay for our tickets beforehand, as I talked to the mom of the girl when I RSVP'd Chrissy and Matthew for the party.

Talking about birthdays, Happy Birthday to Loribell's DD, Ally!! :bday: :cake: party:
Hope she has a great day!!

Barb- Congrats to Bubba!!!:cool1: :dance3: :cool1: What an accomplishment!

Jodie- Congrats to your cousin and spouse and also your brother and spouse, on the pregnancies! :yay: :cutie:
Maybe your dbrother was jealous of cousin was going to get all the attention, so your dbrother and his wife decided to try for a baby?? :confused3 Sometimes that happens or couples try to make that happen, so to take away attention to the other couple. I don't know how far along your cousin and spouse are in the pregnancy, nor about your dbrother and spouse either.
Just a theory from me. Are you sure dbrother and spouse are actually preggo? Maybe they are just saying they are pregnant when maybe the wife isn't? Unless you have proof of the pregnancy test :rolleyes1
I know the Jamie Lynn Spears preggo ordeal, one of her and Britney's aunts said Jamie Lynn wanted to get preggo, to take away attention from Britney :rolleyes1
Well, congrats to the couples anyways :)

Janet- enjoyed your pics!

Hi to all I couldn't address :wave2:

I do have to run and get in the shower and we need to head out to DH's dad at the nursing home today.

Oh, the temp dropped 40 degrees during hte night last night
It's in the teens and windchill below 0, with 40+ mph winds! Yuck! I rather have the fog we had yesterday than the weather we have today in Chi town.

yes, i am a tease:lmao: ; anticipation is usually 1/2 the fun:banana: for everything:goodvibes

HEEEEEE-YA to Bubba:dance3: (isn't that what karate guys say before they attack something lol). Seriously, quite an accomplishment-congrats!

lori - yes, face down in a platter of shrimp is quite the way to go (will make sure I get my helping 1st lol). Here's a Clue - Keishashadow did it in the dining room with several crustaseans.

PS despite what you think, Gingy goes better with wine than milk! He's going to join our box of Xmas decorations after the season, that way i'll know where he is every year:idea:

marci - forgot to complement your tree pics, very nice; glad to see someone else has their team represented on their tree. Mine is mostly handmade stuff the kids brought home from school over the years. Unfortunately, my bad dog continues to eat the tree/lights/ornaments...now it's only decorated 1/2 way from the bottom to the star & we have 2 folding chairs barricading the base...very chic.

yep, DS had to pony-up $25 bucks/Xmas money from Gramma & the game is sitting in the DR driving him crazy until the big day. I'll wrap it tomorrow:santa: . I'm an evil mother, since i kept asking him for the last few weeks - saw it everywhere...but noooo; he didn't want it. Sick of last minute catering to spoiled kiddos. Middle DS bought rock star for his Xbox (i'm having fun with the rolling stone song), it's fun-drums take up too much room in LR; afraid said bad dog will eat the cord.

church under our belt for the holiday, i'm going the premise Xmas is covered since I threw in that envelope to the plate today too. Don't care what/who everyone worships:confused3 just follow the golden rule & we'll all be a-0kay!:thumbsup2 that & no cutting line @ amusement parks or fake GAC access attempts.

getting ready to pull my 2 turkey breasts outta the oven, decided to have our dinner today - so we'd have leftovers to nosh on thru Xmas.

Dh wants to see Golden Compass later. Hear series is rather anti-church, etc. especially last book. Bought the trilogy for Xmas.

Did you hear they're making a 2 movie prequel to LOTR; Hobbitises you know.

Sharon, I can't believe I forgot to say thanks for the card! xx We'll be heading up your way on Friday. :) Looks like you're in for a white Christmas?

Hi Rose! I am the only one who knows of both pregnancies. (And, God, did I almost blow it last night, and give away cousins' surprise!) My brother and SIL don't know my cousins "are" pregnant, and vice versa. I've seen both sonograms. :goodvibes My brother and SIL were trying. My cousins' baby was a bit of a surprise (they were only married in July and planned on waiting 2 years. Woops!). I am very happy to be an aunt (and an aunt only. ;) ). How is your weather holding up? You're not traveling anywhere, are you? I keep hearing about nasty airline delays in the Chicago area today.

Hi Lori! Happy Birthday to Ally! Have fun baking her cake!

Ryan says "Thanks" to everyone's congratulations to him..... :goodvibes

I'm a baking fool today.... baking cookies.... :upsidedow

Well, I just spent the last 3 hours in the basement adjusting snowboards while DH built a weight set for DS15. Man, I had to swap off all the bindings onto new snowboards, and I ordered DS15 a new set of boots. If they don't arrive before we head out skiing next Friday, I'm going to end up redoing two of the snowboards, which I just do NOT want to do. I just wasted 3 hours and we'll probably end up spending a whole hour or so snowboarding next weekend! Anyways, DS' new weight bench/set is a cool DIS lime green! I'll take a pic whenever I get around to finishing all my pics!

Janet - we loved the pics and are still waiting for a cruise trip report!

Seems like a lot of work....especially if you're going to end up 'redoing' it...AND they better snowboard for longer than an hour... :headache: either that, or have them help you next time

I think Janet said after the holidays she'd do a TR..... we won't let you forget Janet ;)

I asked, "Well, would you like me to do cartwheels down the hallway?" :confused3

I am still dying to know how well the RPR treated you. :goodvibes

Well, good morning everyone! Happy Sunday!

And when you asked about doing cartwheels...what was the answer?? Didja do them  (Would love a pic if you did  )

I can't wait for Janet's trippie...waiting to hear how 'fab' RPR was to her :goodvibes (aside from the Gingy [who lives HERE!] and wine....)

Well...if the weather ever clears up, I want to go to Universal for a while and then to the store. Otherwise...just the store. :headache:

:rotfl2: What a decision..... hmmm...think I'll go out for dinner...where shall I go? Burger King? Subway? Margaritaville? Pat O'Briens? :rotfl2: Lucky YOU with so many decisions...

People around here just can not drive on ice or snow. And the wind was blowing so hard it was awful! Door to van was frozen shut so I had to climb across the drivers side front seat to be able to get the presents out of the car!

:scared1:  That weather is ashame...haven't you all had enuf bad weather this year :sad2: oh...and the mental image of you crawling across the seats....

I know I haven't caught up. I haven't even read everything, but I've tried to keep up somewhat. We have a new project we didn't expect. We were having breakfast this morning and heard a crash in our bedroom. After exchanging WTH looks, we ran into the bedroom. Everything looked fine. What? Something made that noise. I finally checked the closet. Yep. The bar holding all my clothes in our walk-in closet fell.

Now, we have to find somebody in town who is open (hardware stores... small town... who knows on a Sunday... especially the Sunday before Christmas...) or haul ourselves to friggin Wal-Mart with everyone else in North friggin Georgia to find the parts we need to fix it. :headache:

 I had something like that happen before....gggrrrrr.... what a pia! Look on the bright side tho...
---> YOU'RE DONE :banana:

Thanks Barb. The tree looks kinda bare to me.

The wrapping is done!!!!!! Ally & ds’s girlfriend helped me do it all yesterday.

Was not able to go anywhere yesterday, the roads got too bad and there were wrecks everywhere.

I think he is our Daniel too, and our Joshua, and Ryan, and oh everyone else’s kids. It would take a while to list them all.

And no, we don’t have time for you to pass out!

I think your tree looks great...let's face it...how many "ugly" trees do you really see? :confused3 You were thinkin' when you recruited Ally and friend to help you wrap! Smart cookie you are..... Unfortunately, both my boys are "wrapping challenged" and I do it all.... DH & I were wrapping Santa's stuff Friday morning, and I was wrapping 4 gifts to DH's 1!

My baby is 9 years old! :sad1:

Where does the time go?? Days are long, years are fast.... I will be sharing your pain today in a few weeks...simply cannot believe the little dude I held on my shoulder is wheelie-ing around and getting TKD awards... :sad2:

I was able to find my pics. They got put in a folder that I would not have expected. Go figure. :upsidedow

Glad to hear you found them.... Now we can see them.... :yay:

Sorry I have not been around for the past few days. I've been a baking, wrapping, shopping, baking, (and did I mention wrapping?!?) fool for the past few days.
Today I'm making Tricia's cheese straws and some white chocolate peppermint bark. I've already made up 13 packages of the bark for gifts but still need a few more.
I'll try to post some photos tonight of my ornaments from Jennifer. She really put some thought into them!

Hey Sharon...good to see ya! Hey...how's the wrappin' coming along :rotfl2: (sorry, couldn't resist) Sounds like you are in full force...which is to be expected. Getting to be crunch time....which is why I'm guessing Tracie has been MIA....still trying to convince FBean to let them decorate the tree :rolleyes1

The birthday party went well.

Glad to hear the party went well and the kids enjoyed themselves...(even you guys)..... Enjoy visit with Dad...you know he'll enjoy it....(hopefully he won't feel too bad when his treatments start next week :guilty: )

well lets see.

Tricia had to drive all over North East Georgia to get some closet help.......
have not heard back from her yet.
think she went south instead??????????????????:hourglass

Here's a Clue - Keishashadow did it in the dining room with several crustaseans.

 What?! You gave Gingy WINE???? He's a MILK dude....honest! And...how can you 'pack him away'??? At my house, he 'lives' in the kitchen and (apparently) sleeps with Joshua.... :confused3 Poor Gingy....

I don't think you're evil...I think it's good 'punishment' for waiting last minute.... sitting there LOOKING at it for 2 days is gonna kill him....BUT, he will 'feel your pain' next time around and "get it" :thumbsup2

Good girl going to church.... you wouldn't know about "line cutting or fake GAC's" .... would you??

Ooops, your in trouble now!
I love cheesecake.

I know my DS 16 is mad cause it his fave too and asked how I could forget and told him I would make him some sweet potatoe pie and no dice he wants his moms cheese cake.:rotfl2:

DM - I thought of you when I saw this wrapping paper!

wrappingpaper.jpg

I survived Wal-Mart.

We played "as long as we're" a bunch today. You know... "as long as we're going to Wal-Mart, let's get this stuff"... "as long as we're going to Wal-Mart, let's check K-Mart too"... "as long as we're fixing the closet, let's clean out some of these old clothes"... :faint:

Closet is fixed and cleaned. We have enough batteries to last for... oh... a day or two with the new toys. I think we're set until the next surprise.

Roll one cheese straw, sip of wine, roll another cheese straw, sip of wine....
sh*t, toooo many cheese straws, I'm going to run out of wine....

missed the shoutouts to the birthday youngins!

turkey was good, i am stuffed; still off to the movies, despite wind is howling, 60+ mph...xmas decorations rolling down the street. Gingy cowering on the mantle lol

barb u r a riot, if i left Gingy in the kitchen someone would wind up eating him in a frenzy. shared your sign with DH, he's still laffing his tail off...a fate worse than death:rotfl2: :lmao:

note - 1/2 my presents are unwrapped, guess i have at them in the am.

have a good night.

kudos for the big welcome to Kevin Everett who was gravely injured in Sept playing for buffalo, and being able to walk in today-:goodvibes

anyone else horribly sickened by the Political Holiday Messages- thought they would at least give it a rest this week but NO!

i might be making cheese straws next weekend.
or, i could just drive 20 minutes to Sharons house:idea:

is it me or do they keep moving these freakin' smilies?????

Roll one cheese straw, sip of wine, roll another cheese straw, sip of wine....

no wonder i did not sleep last night:scared:

i gave a shopping cart to someone at the very hectic and busy grocery store today. the older lady was floored. i did a good deed.

i gave a dirty look to the loser on the cellphone blocking the mixes in one aisle, then again, so didn't all the other folks in that area too. and he was talking about nothing!
