janet, are you a sickie tonight?
:sad2: that would not be a good thing.
you need to get better so you can ride in that boat

naw, i'm hunky dory:banana: ; just like to carry my stash around - makes me feel better just knowing i have it handy for insurance (as in carrying an umbrella around). I've been fortunate that i haven't had to hit the hard stuff up for many moons:) ; even after the parks last June I felt tired/beat up; no pain/muscle spasms though.:thumbsup2

remembered to stock up on immodium for the possible tourista:eek: issues

off to take a long, hot soak & bury my head in a bag of BBQ potato chipspopcorn:: , ironing makes you hungry!

hope you gets lots of sleep tonight!

where is miss barb tonight?
watching the grinch?

welllll.....I can't seem to get a word in edgewise :confused3

and yes, Bubba & I watched Shrek the Halls :thumbsup2 & Grinch.... (while Bubba's Dad went to play hockey).....

So, if y'all would quit yakin' for let's see...um.....I don't know......about an hour....I can get a word in & ketchup!!!

The picture is what will hopefully become my nieces or nephews or one of each or whatever - and it is for my Bro and SIL .

A do-nut shop with good coffee, frappichinos and lattes would be wicked cool - however, the beer guzzling, smoking, drunk park goers of Universal would never use it.....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Because you know that is all we are (according to some people :rolleyes1 ).

....dreading getting up in the attic to drag the Christmas decorations out.....but I guess if I don't no one else will:confused3 Where is that darned elf when you need him???

I am really pullin' for your "Bert & Ernie" :thumbsup2 Always believe in the Christmas miracle...has to happen to somebody right?

I think a 'donut' type shop by the ride at the Studios would be a great idea....after all....ya can get beer/alcohol everywhere....OR, here's an idea! ...maybe they could spike the coffee with Duff? :scratchin

So, how did the decorating go?? Wanna come drag mine out of the crawl space....guess that's on my agenda for Saturday after getting a tree after work.... :guilty: So, if you see the "elf", send him here.....Thanks in advance :rolleyes1

Jim also commented on the amount of emotional abuse that the other kids heap on poor old Charlie Brown. Anyone else notice that??

:rotfl2: Yep.... I noticed....In the beginning CB 'thanks' Violet for the Xmas card (sarcastically) and she flat out, looks him in the eye and says "I didn't send you a Xmas card CB". :rotfl: How cruel....no wonder he's f****d up!! (But a wonderful ending....like every year!)

It's my turn to grovel for not being able to catch up.

Carol is having chemo this week. Today is her 49th birthday. Happy friggin Birthday! We're celebrating by pumping poison into your system to kill the cancer before it kills you! Sigh.

My MIL calls me this morning panicky. "We're supposed to wear hats for the wedding! Did you know we're supposed to wear hats? Dad (She calls my FIL Dad, which I find weird...) says he's not going to let me buy a hat because he won't spend one more nickel on this fiasco. What am I going to do?"

Okay...I'm the boat w/ ya here..... forget the frickin hat! That is SO 25 years ago! Tell her to wear whatever she wants & feels comfortable in...this is America, home of the free. Ya don't like it? Don't look!

Hope Carol had some happiness on her birthday... hard to feel "festive" when ya feel like such crap! I don't blame her for thinking the way she does....if it is really THAT bad for her to endure, I don't blame her for not wanting to go thru it....but, she knows you all are there for her and I guess she is doing it for HER loved ones! I think you're doing a GREAT job of being her "rock"... ...i know, i know...not easy, but you're doing great!

i need to go to kenosha now and wander around Big Lots store.....

they have the greatest junk there.
there is nothing i need to buy, just look and see what they have.

What'd you buy?

I have been sick for a week with a bad sinus and ear infection, finally got into the doc yestrerday to get some meds! Here are some answers to questions from 15 pages ago, (or so it seems)

Get well quik mummydusts :wizard: :wizard:

I thought it was hot, but didn't want to say so, (didn't want to offend anyone) Anyway, don't let me, or any of us other males stop you from talking about your undergarments! :lmao:

(as quoting Chandler from "Friends") "I knew it!!!"

I'm just not an "ornament" type of guy! :rolleyes1

Let's face it....what guy really is?? :confused3

my brother had a rare form of head and neck cancer. it took 3 months to find a treatment plan.
chemo would do nothing for his disease.
his only choice was radiation treatment.

since he has had his lifetime maximum of radiation, he has no other treatment plan if the cancer returns.

he lost his job on christmas eve, had surgery on dec 26.

Did he survive? If so, how is he these days? Is this the same brother you had issues with but are going to "patch things up" with the driving the parents to the wedding....or different brother??

The car has nearly 150,000 miles on it, so we're getting to the point that whenever something goes wrong, you're always expecting the "big one"! As in the "cost of repairs would be more than the vehicle's worth" type! We're hoping to get a new minivan in the spring and give this one to DS (who will be 16) to have a car to drive, so I just know it'll completely die by then! Glad this wasn't it at least!

Keep 'milking' it.... repairs ARE cheaper than payments.... at that many miles, you have to expect to replace things..... DH bought a used car (Honda Civic) with 156,000+ miles on it. He replaced the radiator, and the usual...timing belt, tires, brakes, etc.... ( & of course VERY good friend is certified Honda mechanic, so our labor is super cheap!) anyhow...he managed to keep it for quite a few years (he drives over 70 miles a day r/t for work) and we finally traded it in 2 years ago (on a new Civic) with 274,000+ miles on it..... Think we paid $1K for it... :lmao: DEFINATELY got our $$ worth outta that car! :thumbsup2

Hola!!

Did anyone see the tree lighting in Rockefeller Center? How pretty. I'm supposed to go see it on Sunday, but it may rain so plans may change.

Watching Project Runway....wonder who's "out" tonite...

Thanks for the well wishes Barb...

Check you all lata....

Update on me and family:not much. DH 's job is still the same.....
This past sunday, DH picked up his father's couch....

Oh, if anyone is wondering about my radio win I mentioned last week, I haven't heard much yet.

Hey Rose.... :wave2:

Good to have you pop in!

Sorry to hear about DH's job...however, a little bit of money, is better than no money.... like the others have said "Keep the faith" Things happen for a reason and they'll get better :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

The couch is a bright spot!! Glad you are excited about your new furniture.....

oh, and about the toliet paper ----> :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: eh...may as well take it...it doesn't go bad!

Please keep us posted on your prize....and yes, it's hard to be patient, and explain that to them. Tell them you know they are a huge corporate business and you're starting to question the 'legality' of this contest. If they were any kind of reputable business, they wouldn't keep it in lingo this long....after all....they've known the "winners" for how long :scratchin Keep at 'em and let them know you are TRYING to be patient...but with the holidays, it ain't easy....

Wacky laundry question for you all! Are you really not supposed to run your washer and/or dryer while you're not at home? :confused3

Okay...first...about the wart....:scared:

Second, mac is right...lint build up will increase fire chances...and if a fire is breaking out in my laundry room, I want to be home! So, no, I am "not allowed" to run the dryer when nobody is home.....(which is why Sunday is usually laundry day...someone is usually home).

As for the washer, I will throw a load in and leave, but I always turn the water off when I'm not using it. Why you ask? Because of my neighbor. Okay, now I know you're REALLY curious! Her & her DH went out on a Saturday nite for dinner. They forgot something (didn't get very far) and returned home....to find the hose from the faucet to the washer split/broke/tore and water was gushing everywhere!! She said they weren't gone 5 minutes and the downstairs was soaked! Well, I have a suspicious looking hose on my washer (meaning, it could probably use to be replaced, but who feels like doing it?) and I'm not taking any chances...so, yes, I will run washer, but not leave water on all the time. Matter of fact, while at work one day, DH calls me in a panic wondering why the washer won't go on. Had to inform him the water was turned off :rotfl2: Then he got it! ;)

did i ever tell you all the story of how my boys got caught in our chimney?

well..... :confused3

we're waiting..... :surfweb:

shrek was good.

grinch is always good.

Yep...we watched 'em both....Shrek was funnie! We loved the part when Puss in Boots was batting the ornament ball :rotfl2: SO many funnie things about that show.... Glad to see a new Christmas special...hopefully that will be to Bubba's generation what Charlie Brown is to ours! (uh, did I mention, Bubba learned about "analogies" today in skool?)
