i need to go to kenosha now and wander around Big Lots store.....

they have the greatest junk there.
there is nothing i need to buy, just look and see what they have.

you don't know crazy until you have lived within my 4 walls.......

everyone needs a HB song on their special day!

just tell her your special crazy friends told you to do it for her.

It's just like others have said, when you try to tell someone in your life about the friends that we have here on the boards, they look at you like "mm-hmm... yeah... right... whatever..."

Hi All!
Mac, I'm still here! I just can't keep up with you ladies! Plus, I have been sick for a week with a bad sinus and ear infection, finally got into the doc yestrerday to get some meds! Here are some answers to questions from 15 pages ago, (or so it seems)

I thought it was hot, but didn't want to say so, (didn't want to offend anyone) Anyway, don't let me, or any of us other males stop you from talking about your undergarments! :lmao:

I'm just not an "ornament" type of guy! :rolleyes1

Oh, and Mac, did you meet TJ, the head of Universal Creative on any of your tours at HHN. Seems I have a sort of connection with him. He is friends with a guy from up here in PA that I have been friends with for a long time and graduated with, and TJ is originally from PA as well. Very cool friend to have.

who coined the phrase: "friends in a box"?:lmao:

just add water & we sprout:banana:

marci only $47whatever:eek: ; you've got the right attitude!:thumbsup2

elmer - i found out (the hard way) that all females wear hats to weddings when southern folk are involved:confused3 . I was the only one with a nekkie head in church @ DH's 1st family wedding:guilty: felt like i was sitting in mass pre-vatican days without my topper & sister agatha was going to whack me.

To Carol -
Happy Birthday to you:banana:
We're your sister's friends from the zoo:upsidedow
While we live in a box
and don't know you from a sock;)
We thinking happy thoughts for you!:yay:

Sorry I didn't explain that better! :rotfl: The car has nearly 150,000 miles on it, so we're getting to the point that whenever something goes wrong, you're always expecting the "big one"! As in the "cost of repairs would be more than the vehicle's worth" type! We're hoping to get a new minivan in the spring and give this one to DS (who will be 16) to have a car to drive, so I just know it'll completely die by then! Glad this wasn't it at least!

i saw you did some posting on csw. were you able to meet up with any of them on your trip? i told a few of them to treat you good.....
there was an unofficial meet at finnegans when i went. george, john, wolf, tom and a couple more showed up.

on your question thread about epcot, did we tell you wrong?

someday i hope you and your family are there the same time i go.
and do the rip tour....

sinus and ear infections bite.
they are horrible, but hope you are doing better now. hopefully he gave you some dope for the pain.

TJ was at hhn on the week after i was there. he was doing some of the day tours. i'm told he is fantastic!
and i'm told he is kewl.

about the undies, tracie will be posting her pics of herself in her thong for our christmas treat.

or maybe she said it was a pic of her boys jumping naked on the bed when she was sick....
wait, she already showed that pic.

come april 1st, we should have an april fool gag gift exchange.

marcie, we have 2 vehicles with over 104K miles on them.
i figure what we have to put out on repairs is still cheaper than car payments.
the 3rd car only has 77 k on it and just redid the brakes on it.

car repairs, dentist visits, grocery store, credit cards...........i put them all in the same category...........yuk

Mac - I will pass on the song. I'm sure she'll think I'm crazy when I tell her who I'm passing on from, but that's okay. :rolleyes1

homie, i just reread what you posted.

passing on singing the HB to carol???

i thought you said you would pass it on to her.

well at least sing janet's version of the song.
it's a lot way kewler than the regular hb song. :rolleyes1

As long as I don't do the Marilyn Monroe to JFK version, I think I'm okay. She's my sister. That would just be... wrong.

She's pretty out of it tonight. I went over to wish her happy birthday, but she was already feeling sick when she went in for chemo again today so they doped her up more to control the nausea. I don't know how many of you have seen somebody go through this, but it is horrible. She told me last week that if it wasn't for all of us, she'd quit. She said that she knew giving up at this point would be totally selfish and we're all pulling for her, so she's sticking it out. When something makes you feel bad enough that you consider dying instead of going through it... it must be pretty dang major bad stuff. I told her that if it would do any good, I'd take a round or two for her. :sad1:

now the MM of JFK version would get a good laugh............

hang in there homie, it is always tough for the family that is affected by the disease our siblings/parents get.

my brother had a rare form of head and neck cancer. it took 3 months to find a treatment plan.
chemo would do nothing for his disease.
his only choice was radiation treatment.

since he has had his lifetime maximum of radiation, he has no other treatment plan if the cancer returns.

he lost his job on christmas eve, had surgery on dec 26.

hang in there tricia. some days are harder than others.
carol will come through this. keep the hope.

Hi all!
Sorry I haven't posted in quite awhile, just been busy. Busy time of yr.
I do think about all of you!!:goodvibes
Update on me and family:not much. DH 's job is still the same, not making a whole lot of $$. The recruiter is supposed to negotiate something to DH's boss, but nothing is going on as far as we know. DH went on an interview with a different temp agency this past Monday. Not much going on with that.
This past sunday, DH picked up his father's couch, as his side of hte family are going thru FIL's stuff, as FIL moved into a nursing home recently. Couch is in great shape! Took about a couple of hours to put the couch together, as it came in 3 pieces, It's a couch recliner. I never had one of these type of couches before, never had to put a couch together before. We moved out our old, broken couch to the curb outside. Garbage pick up disposed of our old couch today. Hey, at least we are blessed with a free, pretty new couch!:cool1: DH also got some of his father's dishes, 2 lamps, some hand-held games, lots of bandaids and lots of toilet paper :woohoo: Can't have enough toilet paper :yay: ;)

Oh, if anyone is wondering about my radio win I mentioned last week, I haven't heard much yet. I did email the Promotions department of hte radio station last week and I did get an email response this past Monday, that they are trying to catch up from the holiday week last week and I am supposed to hear from them this week. They did verify via email, that I asked for airfare tickets for Orlando, FL! The thing is, they haven't called me yet and I haven't received anything yet, no tickets, no paperwork yet :sad2:
So I'm wondering if this is a fraud or they are stalling for whatever reason :confused3 Even if they send me a gift card as a prize, that's fine with me.
I keep telling them to please call me of my win! The radio station is a big radio station in Chicago, they are thru Clearchannel Communications. So, I'm wondering when am I gonna get my prize??
I'm thinking if I don't hear or get something in the mail from them by this Friday by 3pm, I think I will call them and find out if I'm gonna get my prize  I'm trying to be patient, but in the meantime, I have been waiting almost 5 yrs to win something big, esp from them.
That's pretty much it from me.

Tricia- Happy Birthday to Carol!! :dance3: :woohoo: :cool1:
I'm so sorry she is feeling sick today. :guilty:
Glad all of us in this box are an emotional support to her and you
She is in my prayers and thoughts :grouphug:

Akdar- hope you are feeling better :wizard:

Barb- I guess I missed you are leaving your desk job today? I didn't get to read back a few pages.

Hi to all I didn't get to address, as it's hard for me to catch up :wave2:

Hopefully I'll be back in a day or two.

Oh, almost forgot, have a great time all those going away on vacation or wherever- Janet ,you are leaving soon somewhere?
I think Jodie is leaving soon too? Are you guys meeting up at UO? I can't remember.

Love you all!

Tricia - Hubby's mom went through chemo and radiation. And you are right - it is tough. She had a rough time of it as well. We just hung in there and gave her support.

Sending you and Carol warm thoughts and hugs.:grouphug: :grouphug:

-Jennifer-

hi ya rose, good to see you drop by.

i keep you and your family in my prayers. surely something great will come up for your hubby job wise. i know it is tough trying to take care of family when the $$ are not coming in. just hang in there. it will get better. not sure when, but it will.

that radio station is legit. you will get your prize. do call them this friday for a heads up and get the name of the person you talk to.
one thing, have them email you a note when they do send out the gift.
sometimes things get lost in the mail during Christmas delivery time. just tell the radio people you are concerned it was lost in the mail.

i think janet is down to 3 sleeps now before her boat ride in florida.
she did get her toother fixed but it still hurts her.

jodie should be at hrh today if i remember correctly. she is still in mourning over her kitty. i hope this trip makes her feel better.

i think it was many pages back that barb talked about her other pt job.
they won't pay the money she deserves and is trying to find another pt office job.
maybe barb will fill us in tonight on her days saga.

rose, hope you are doing fine.
don't feel bad if you don't post everyday.
i do but then i don't have much of a life.
and i only sleep when son sleeps.

ps......did you hear the rumor of who is having twins???

sorry, had to put that in there, going to get more miles on that joke.

Wacky laundry question for you all! Are you really not supposed to run your washer and/or dryer while you're not at home? :confused3 I left a load in the dryer (running) when we were at my folks' house this past weekend and when they came home you'd have thought there had been a murder or something! Is this really that bad? If I didn't do laundry when I wasn't home in our house, we'd never have any clean laundry! :rolleyes1 I'm usually really rushing to throw stuff in the washer/dryer before I run out the door so it has a chance to get done while I'm gone! I know once when I was a kid we had the washer overflow, so guess that's why they're paranoid about that, but the dryer? Just kind of threw me for a loop!

Tricia - I'm so sorry about Carol. It all sounds so miserable - for her in particular obviously, but for all of you as well. Hoping things improve soon. When will they have any idea of whether it's working or not? How many treatments are there supposed to be? Oh, and for all of you who keep mentioning chemo and radiation - what's the difference? I always thought they meant the same thing roughly!

Anyways, I'm off to freeze a wart off DS12's finger. Doesn't that sound like fun?! :sad2:

i always have the washer or dryer or both going on when i am not home.

many people don't because of fire.
if your lint trap and the front of your dryer is not cleaned out regularly, it could catch on fire.

we always take the dryer lint with us when we camp. it really helps starting a fire.

maybe the other homies will check in during commercials and get us to 500 tonight...
