I'd love to be more sociable, but I have a paper to type. No wait, that's my son's job! Actually DS14 is going crazy right now with the play coming up in a few weeks. They're just having WAY too long of practices and he's not having time to do homework. They were having more down time so he was getting some done before at least.
Now they have some 5th and 6th graders in the play as some of the "children". As a result, some of the older kids have younger kids assigned to them to keep an eye on. Unfortunately the kid he got is one who's determined to cause as much trouble as he can and he spends all his free time chasing after this kid trying to keep him out of trouble, and not being able to do homework. I'm about to either go along and strangle this child for him (!!) or at least email the teacher/director and explain that my son signed up because he wanted to act, not babysit!
So this week he had practice on Monday and Tuesday from 3:45 until 8:45, yesterday until 5:30, but then had religious ed from 6-8:15 and tonight had practice until 5 and then marching band for the football game right from there (where we're under tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings!). So he did as much writing as he could whenever he had a chance, but the essay is due tomorrow (typed) so I promised to type it for him! Next week won't be too bad for him because it's a short week (teachers' conventions), but the following 2 weeks are pretty much all play, all the time! Then it will be over - hallelujah! So I'm off to type - luckily that's one thing I do pretty well!

hope it stops before the

I can't imagine how many doses of motion sickness meds were handed out that trip. We had some choppy seas on our Alaska cruise, but nothing like that!
