Okay, I REALLY want to see the pic if it is forbidden and all that. Do you have it on PhotoBucket or one of those?

Hmphh. I had it in the Kodak Gallery, but I just uploaded it to Photobucket to see if that would help? I can see all the pics, so I'm at a loss until someone says they can't see it.

If you can't see it, suffice to say it's a throw back to my 1990 prom where every guy had his vest matched to his girl's vest. Mike thought it would be cute. He's very metro.

great pics everyone luv the formal wear! DHs only conceding to a suit, jr wants a tux. I don't think i'm going too elaborate, same dress i wore to DSs wedding last year, have a few other velvet #s i'm on the fence about, then have a few other "backup" dressed I bought for the wedding before i found the one i liked...you know - the one another guest showed up wearing ; we had a good laff.

unfortunately, we don't leave until 12/2 ; just want to get all my ducks in a row since the ports of call keep getting shuffled...and there's few excursions.

After halloween i go into true pyscho mode, getting my dump ready for invasion of the in-laws for Thanksgiving. Want to paint the downstairs, maybe tile the kitchen? You know, all the crap I should've done between hosting the last holiday & this one...housefull of men = slobs

Haven't read the previous pages, so am probably totally out of context here, but...

Ummm....my daughter's special needs cheerleading team is going to be filmed by NBC nightly news on Sunday, to be aired sometime next week. We have been forewarned that we, the parents, are going to be interviewed.

Hopefully, I will make the cutting floor, but if not, I am sure it will be completely unflattering and that I really don't look like that and that the camera adds at least a zillion pounds, and, and, and.......

Janet - I did go over to cruisecritic to figure out when your cruise was since you didn't answer me here for so long! Luckily you, like me, are completely unimaginative and have the same screenname over there. I did look at my signature over there and played with it a bit - people complain here, but from what I saw there, you can't have any pics at all? Even countdowns have to be linked to? Or am I just doing something wrong? As I scrolled through some threads I didn't see anyone with pictures in their sigs. I couldn't even find pics in threads, which I KNOW you used to be able to do!

Jodie - I couldn't see your first pic either, but can see all the rest. Wow - I don't think even I (with our 72 matching outfits!) could convince DH to wear matching formal wear!

I'm enjoying all the pics and matching up names and faces! Now see, I picture everyone looking about like Katie does in her pic (incidentally Katie you look GREAT!) I don't know why, but for some reason everyone just seems so young here and I guess when I see pics it surprises me when folks look my age or so because I guess I was thinking everyone else was a lot younger!

And, um, I could post some of my "butt" pics from surfing this summer that I promise look WAY worse than any out there, but there's no way I want those on the internet! Bad enough that they're stored on my computer somewhere!

We had a party a few years ago. We themed it "The Grownup Prom". The premise of the party was that many of us had not attended our own Prom, and those of us that had remembered them as miserable, uncomfortable affairs. We decided the concept of a Prom is wasted on the youth it is forced upon, so we made our own at an age we could really enjoy it. I'll have to see if I can dig up some of those pics.

ha - rarely do i have a RL tied up @ school yesterday & it threw off my whole day, wonder how i ever used to manage working full time - usually a PT job too. of course that was way before the internet

Not that i'm only unimaginative ; i told you guys i'm hopeless @ remembering names...it's the only screen name i can remember...i'm easy to find - anywhere.

It took me several times to just be able to post my countdown on that site; must have low bandwidth (? - i'm not very tech savvvy as to term but, everything runs soooooo slooooow).

elmer - i wore prom gowns from the 70's that would give you nightmares. 1st wedding dress was a chantilly lace number with hoop skirt & a gazillion petticoats...deluded myself into thinking I was channelling Scarlett.

I know I'm not the best housekeeper in the world, but I manage to vacuum once a week. When I do, I get enough fur out of the carpet to build a small dog. Where does it keep coming from?
