Hi Guys - We're back from 6 Flags and with lots of stories to tell!
Of course the most important is (as Mac already said!) that we got to meet up with Mac herself - the OP of this awesome thread!
It was great to meet you Mac, and I notice you politely left out the parts about my kids fighting and us making you sprint to Superman at rope drop! Yes, unfortunately for Mac, we're Type-A, Commando-style park people so she got dragged along, even though she wasn't riding Superman anyways! We didn't even bring a camera along, so no pics

but I feel bad that we didn't at least think of having DH use his cell phone to snap a pic of us! But you guys are probably getting sick of looking at pics of me anyways, although Mac would have been a nice change! When we left Superman and Mac headed to the exit as we sprinted off to the next coaster, we commented that she was probably saying to herself "Thank goodness I don't have to hang with them all day!"
We did ride Raging Bull, and then Deja Vu since it's the first time this coaster has actually been open in about 10 visits to the park over the last many years. It was a bit too rough of a ride for me, but I'm glad we got to do it once. We then headed back out to the car for a quick snack break (frozen lemonade juice boxes and donuts - yep, super healthy!) then brought our swim stuff in. Changed and did a bunch of the water slides, family raft rides, tube rides, etc.
Okay, I don't know how to post a pic from their website, but we had a pretty bad experience on one of the waterslides. You guys know the slides at Blizzard Beach - I think called Toboggan Racers, where you lie down on the mats and race down the hill together? Well, this one was similar, but first you ride the mats through a curvy, enclosed slide area (like a body slide, but in the dark) before you shoot out onto the race course down nearer the bottom.
The four of us (DS15 had stayed home because of his back) raced down together. As I was going down through the enclosed part, I got jerked pretty bad. When I got to the bottom, I realized I'd bit my lip hard and it was bleeding. No big deal - wiped it on my hand.
Meanwhile, DH comes over holding his head. Apparently he hit a bump and smacked his head on the top of the tunnel (he's almost 6'2" and these were very narrow tunnels). He's complaining about his head and we're feeling sorry for ourselves and then DS12 comes over.
Apparently he'd hit a dry spot on the slide, which made his mat stop, but not him. He went up onto the handle part of the mat and had sliced his stomach a bit - about a 2 inch cut, but not deep, but still bleeding. So now we're feeling really bad for him until DS14 walks up.
Apparently he did the same thing as DS12, but much more abruptly and pretty much his entire stomach skidded across the folded up hard part of the mat with the handles. His entire stomach/chest looked like it had a huge carpet burn across it - literally probably about 14 inches across and maybe 8 inches high.

It was just horrible looking! Fortunately he said it really didn't hurt that much, and we quickly went and all put t-shirts on to cover up. For some reason, we opted not to try this slide again, and I'm guessing won't in the future - at least not without t-shirts on! Just amazing that all 4 of us could get injured at the same time!
Anyways, we still enjoyed the rest of our time at the park. Spent a good, long time relaxing on the lazy river then, got some snacks, did the wave pool, etc. Then we were all relaxing on the pool chairs and the kids wanted to play games so we told them to go get dressed, gave them some money and coupons, and sent them off while we relaxed in the sun and listened to the Jimmy Buffett music on the nearby speaker! Finally headed out around 2pm! Just a beautiful day weather-wise - probably got up to around 80, but it was nice for the park in the morning and then warm enough to enjoy the water park!
