i have mileage accounts with united and american.

they do have expiration dates on them.

i'm about to lose 18,000 points on american this summer.

Same way for me on delta cause I think my miles will expire in dec

:headache: Need to vent. I HATE THE NEW YEAR. I HATE having to deal with all of the insurance issues.

We received a letter dated Dec 30 telling us that we needed to change our long term drug pharmacy by Feb. 1. I called insurance 1st and politely stated that they really should've given patients more notice before the end of 2008.
I personally feel that there really wouldn't be a medical crisis in this country if we got rid of insurance and went back to the barter system.

sorry, i had minor issue over the weekend handing pharmacist new card, he said he was 'too busy' to process it & to come back on monday:rolleyes1 , district mgr got a phone call bright & early monday am & Rx was ready 1 hour later...course it's probably poisoned:laughing:

had to take youngest DS to hospital for some tests yesterday, same card as last year

admission clerk advised me of the new policy (jan 1st) that all annual deductibles & copays must be paid in advance before receiving service:confused: . She said ALL the local hospitals will be following the policy, except for medicare/medicade/champus, etc.:confused3

I told her i have office copays, yet no deductibles & I don't need referal, only the 'script i handed her:teacher: ; she insisted 'everybody' has a copay. Again, i told her that I didn't, it was negotiated thru DHs union in lieu of salary...1/2 hour later, supervisor reluctantly said i was right

I do luv to say: I told you so:laughing:

still, serious imo; what if ur standing there @ ER bleeding, etc....they won't treat u until they verify coverage & u pay deductible...what if u don't have ur wallet/CC/check...

def not a kinder, gentler world anymore imo

We have some frequent flyer miles with Northwest that I'm going to use ... now that they've merged with Delta who know what will happen to the miles, so I want to use them up before we lose them ...

i lost a bunch of USAir miles when they dumped PIT as regional hub

have been noticing that Delta out of PIT has good fares, just with a connection in OH (cleveland/cincinnati? can't remember):upsidedow which doubles the flight time from PIT, still nice to have an option. do u think Delta will be around for awhile jik SW's upcoming fares stink?

darn, that stinks:mad:; can u use them on something else beside air travel? merchandise or a gift?

im probably going to let my AirTran credits expire, not worth the aggravation the way they cancel/change flights drastically up to right before flight times...i have some standards

I know this is the Universal thread, but we all know whats going on at SW and Busch Gardens..No more Hospitallity House.Yes InBev bought it but what they are cutting is A tradition..I just hope the other parks dont follow suit..Universal is already charging $3 parking after 6PM!!All this on a week economy..I just dont get it!!:confused3
What else is going to be cut??

With that goodnight all!!

Can you "gift" them to someone who can use them before they expire??

Hey Bonny how long does it take before ya'll are above freezing??

My husband's had to fly USAir a few times recently for work - haven't flown them since back in the days when we lived in NC shortly after they bought out Piedmont (which was a great airline). After these flights, he was commenting that USAir still had the same slogan they did back 15+ years ago "USAair begins with US!" (Meaning "them"-us, not "us"-us)! ;)

And I agree - anyone losing miles, look into it. I know a lot of airlines let you get like magazines at least, and if you can't do that, I'm pretty sure there are places you can donate your miles (Make-A-Wish comes to mind but I may be thinking of something similar). I know if DH can't use his he can always donate them back to work (his business travel always goes to them, but personal miles).

We've only flown Air Tran once (when we went to Florida last time) and had a great experience with them. Unlike Midwest who we've flown about 5 times and had awful experiences every time. They just don't seem prepared to handle the snow, which - I'm sorry - but if you live in Wisconsin, you just have to expect!

Oops - Katie, I meant to mention that I think the dress looks GREAT on you! I love the spaghetti straps and the whole sparkly look and the mesh chest part (yeah, is this too technical for you? :rotfl: ). Okay, I'm not a dress person, but I think you look great!

And it'll look even better in Florida! :thumbsup2

Good morning homies :goodvibes

Good morning all! Have a great Thursday and.....GO GATORS!

morning all, we got 2 inches of snow last night, it's pretty...okay, im done...bring on spring:wizard:

we tried to support USAir, yet found that most of our flights while booked on their website wound up on United (and the most beat looking planes), rather snotty FAs too

we welcomed AT, even when they lost our luggage:rolleyes1 and canceled flights while we sat @ the gate (several times) ; they made good with vouchers - galore:) . Great reward program via CC, and other promos (cell phone extenstions, even a Wendy cup one lol) yet, when i had one flight time change easily 10 times, with the last 2 being day before & during trip for return flight:confused3 i was done...my credits r again going to a military program that helps get the troops to see their families!

btw, I tried to donate both some left over DVC points to make-a-wish a couple of years ago (think a few days' worth) & was turned down...they said they only accept a week's worth...u'd think they could manage to coordinate ..oh, well

todd - where r the gators going?;)

kfed - nice pics, curious as to who is taking the pics? not ur fiancee i hope:goodvibes u keeping it a secret or is that considered old fashioned now?popcorn::

have a wonderful day all:flower3:

You have to wear hair with big bangs poofed and don't dare use a straigtener--the bigger the better. And if you have any jumpsuits--those were big. And believe it or not, Macy's carries outfits like sweaterdresses just like I have a picture of me wearing when I thought I was cool.:hippie:

My DD15 had tried on this really cute outfit that looked like something I had from the 80's and she was definitely buying it. That is...until I told her about mine.

Oh and did I mention I HATE THE NEW YEAR??

Today, it was trying to order new contacts for my son. I finally told the guy at the insurance office to call my provider and he could talk with the ordering person. He came back on the line with frustration in his voice and tried to convince me to go to another provider because he couldn't get the woman to understand....:rolleyes1

Afternoon all ...

morning all, we got 2 inches of snow last night, it's pretty...okay, im done...bring on spring:wizard:

I agree :thumbsup2 ... we shoveled twice yesterday and it's snowing again today so will have to shovel again tonight ... more snow in the forecast for tomorrow too  When is Spring arriving????

we've gotten a few more inches today too, yet the ground had 'unfrozen' before Xmas, must still be warm enough that it's not really sticking:confused3

reminds of of how spongey the grass gets in the spring after the thaw, must be hard on the waterlines - the countinual warm & cooling, several main breaks in our area. 1st the gas lines going down in the area (not mine hooray), now the water lines:eek: .

we lost electricity on NYE day & it was a wakeup call...lost our heat (hot water)...we tried to buy an emergency gas generator & were told all our friends in the south have the market 'cornered'...guess with all the natural disasters they're on backorder for a very long time. They did try to sell me an 'electric' one:upsidedow

You look BEAUTIFUL!!!

When the sun catches the sequins (beading?) it will sparkle!!!

Well I got my 80's outfit . How dumb of me to throw out all those 80's clothes when I had them . Anyhow I got a pair of Leging looking pants and a long shirt to over them . I will have to do the big hair thing too . I remember how to do that VERY WELL . I need to get to the store to buy some good old fashioned hair spray in a CAN ..:rotfl2: ..
Now I hope we even get to go to this party it is pretty far from us from Staten Island to Long Island and they are calling for a SNOW storm . My BIL works for the sanation department and we are suppose to go with them but if there is snow he will need to work . So I am hopful that the storm will miss us.

Going to get ready to cook an early dinner
