Yeah we are planning on staying at RPR
but the only thing is I found a new airline that just started flying out of our area and the rates are like $59 each way but noticed they only go to sanford and have no idea about that since I have only have gone to MCO

Sanford is about 20 miles north of the metro Orlando area!!Did you check if Mears have any transportation from there?

Thanks donald I totally forgot about them and I will have to check it out cause I would love to try this new airline cause their rates are cheap enough for us to be able to stay 7 days instead of 5

That's always a good thing. ::yes::

Want to get you homies thought on this and that is as you can see by my ticker I am planning a honeymoon trip in july(just me and dw this time) but been checking and with a tight budget like always
found it would be cheaper fo us to go in mid or late june or just stick to the original plan for july since or anniversary is on the july date when we planned to go.

I agree with the majority and say go in June. The earlier the better - in terms of heat, thunderstorms (yes, I know ALL about the weather in Florida - it's all we talk about here in Wisconsin ;) ) and crowds. The fact that it's cheaper is just an extra bonus!

Morning all
Going to clean a little and get on the Wii Fit since the dam thing told me I was Fat . Not that I am a little girl but when a video game tells you your fat it made me  .

My husband has the same problem. You guys have seen the pics - he's not "heavy" by any means - at least not any heavier than I am. Yet, according to its standards, I'm right where I'm supposed to be and he's well into the "overweight" category. :confused3

On a side note, I did one of those "Holiday Trimmings" clubs at the Y. Weighed in right before Thanksgiving and then weighed out today. I haven't worked out pretty much at ALL during the last 2 weeks and have been eating out a lot. I almost didn't go weigh in, but decided to go try. I told the guy weighing me not to laugh at me...and it turned out I'd lost almost 4 pounds! :thumbsup2 :confused3 Yeah, it's the "eat junk food and don't work out" diet.

Going to get ice storm today...while I'm at work. :headache:

Should prove to be an interesting ride home.....

:wave2:

We had ours on Saturday night. We spend THREE hours outside chipping ice off the driveway and back patio (okay, eventually gave up on the patio) since they were all sheets of ice. (Hey, maybe THAT's what helped with the weight loss!). The drive is clear now, but our street (a court that they don't do much with) is still an ice rink. Really, I could get my skates on and go back and forth like I do on my rollerblades in the summer!

Oh who knows...maybe they have relocation envy...

We were just talking about this last night. Watching the Fiesta Bowl and discussing the BCS Championship Bowl. Said I guess I was cheering for Oklahoma (hey, at least Lori would be happy!). My son asked what was wrong with Florida and I said that I HATE anyone who gets to live there! ;)

Yep, it's relocation envy all right!

i'll be thinking of you and all that sunshine when my snow starts today..

I haven't heard any snow forecasts for around here. Wow - not counting the ice chipping, I haven't shoveled snow since Friday night! That's like 4 days! Anyways, are you guys supposed to get a lot?

You are not a bad mom. I would probably do the same thing and have the boys not wear the heelies.

I was actually saying that I was a bad mom for LETTING him wear them and be a public hazard! :scared:

Glad to hear everything was okay with your husband. Anything with your eyes is always scary!

It was pretty crowded at the mall so we didn't venture amongst the mobs of little kiddies into the Lego store!

marci, we are off the hook for any bad storms.
it's predicted only 3 inches for today.
i'll have to wait and see.
it started snowing around 2:30 and hasn't let up any yet.

this is what happens when you don't live in florida...south of st augustine...

Good evening all!

Hope everyone who has ice/snow storms got home safely! We are supposed to get some ice and slush tonight, but so far, just rain and some sleet!

Congrats to Raph! Have fun planning the wedding!

Marci: congrats on the weight loss!! You must give us your secret on how to lose weight during the holidays!

I can imagine Wisconsin gets really COLD in the winter time so living here is great. Although summer isn't the best in the world it sure beats having to deal with LOTS and LOTS of snow. ;)

Bonny - not sure if any of them apply to you, but I know a lot of airlines are offering good fares right now if you book by either this week or next week (depending on the airline). I don't know who flies in Canada though.

Well, based on these good air fares, I'm once again being a bad DIS'er :scared: and opting to vacation elsewhere instead. I'm still hoping for possibly going late August, but guessing now that won't happen.

We decided to head out to Boston/Vermont again instead in March. Got a GREAT deal on airfare - $136 (including all fees/taxes, $89 without them!) round trip! Matt won't be able to go since he has his college class still during the break week, so Royce will stay home with him. Matt and Royce are heading out to Vail though on Friday this week to ski for the weekend and then visit the Air Force Academy so I'm not feeling too bad for them.

Anyways, Stephen, Eric & I will fly out on Friday and spend the weekend with my brother and his family in Boston. We miss the cousins and they're only going to be little and cute for a limited time (they'll be 4 & 7 then). Then we'll head over to Killington and ski during the midweek before flying home. I have the air, rental car, and the hotel for the night before we fly home (at the airport) booked - all really reasonably ($102 for the rental car for the week!).

I'm not finding what I want in terms of condos at Killington so I'm holding off a bit there. Since it's just 3 of us if worse comes to worse, we can always fit in a regular hotel instead of a condo. However based on food costs at Killington (which make Disney/Universal look like bargain basement prices!), I'd really rather have a condo because we'd make up in meal costs really quickly. Killington's food prices are probably on par with 6 Flags Mac - both in terms of price and quality! :sad2: So I'd much rather make grilled cheese in the room than spend $10 for a bowl of soup (unfortunately not an exaggeration)!

:thumbsup2 You don't have to shovel heat at least!

I find myself saying at least once a day "Why do I live in this stupid state!?" :confused3

I'd take your summer over our cold and snow any day ...

We get quite a few of the US carriers up here in Alberta ... United, Northwest, Air Transat, Delta, Alaska, and US airlines.
