Actually Tamie...I need to check my tree this afternoon to see how my oranges are coming along. I have a naval orange tree that's pretty full this year and need to check on them. They usually aren't ready to pick until January but sometimes they ripen faster.

Its cold (for me) so I break out the sleeping bags too keep warm.I dont trust electric blankets-bieng hooked to electricty when asleep=Frankenstien or Frankensteen for the Gene Wilder fans out there!!

i put it on my bed by october 1st each year.
just in case it gets cold unexpectedly ......


mr duck, you are A OK using an electric blanket as long as you don't wet the bed at night......
i know you don't do that but i'm not sure if spilling beer on the E blanket would fry you or not........

we are to get up to 6 inches of snow starting at noon tomorrow.
still cold and more snow on wednesday.


since i have not done my christmas shopping yet, going to the stores tonight.

most places here are open very late.
some are open 24 hours due to low sales in some stores.


i'll find something to buy even if it is just a loaf of bread.....

Good luck and happy shopping! I think I finished up today.... Ten minutes after I got home, DS 7 wanted me to take him back to the store so he could buy himself a laser pointer. He was mad when I told him I wasn't going back out. Dad told him we could solve the shopping problem by taking back his money. He was happier about waiting until tomorrow.

I read their not doing banners this year.

upon reflection, probably the reason they're 'carding' for the BD celebrations too im out of the loop...just haven't had the desire to wade thru all the muck until i have a firm vacation date(s) for next year...too depressing to just spin my wheels

I ran into Macy's this morning and the sales were incredible. I bought around $600 worth of men's clothes for $125--I just hope it all fits--and since I am the type who has already shown my kids everything they're getting (I can't stand the suspense ) I'll probably let my DH try on all the stuff for him.

$80 shirts for $10. Some of them I got for $8. It's great to be a last minute shopper! Great deals.

who could pass up a deal like that? never met a sale i didn't like!

i've got a box of sarris candy staring @ me as i type away...BB fundraiser...think i'll just throw it @ family w/their Xmas presents & call it a day ...it's good stuff

Probably. I have my dad and step-mom's presents (they live in Houston). And if my sister gets me anything. My mom told me to pick out what I wanted, and the one I got was the last one Wal-Mart has (as far as I know) and at a good price. I gave her her present too.

off to throw a turkey in the oven, going to eat 'our' dinner tomorrow (going to oldests DSs in the eve & SILs on Xmas day)....cannot imagine not having a turkey to pick at...now all i've got to do is figure out when to cook the ham that's taking up half a shelf in my fridge
