After 15yrs yes I need recertified.Alot has changed in the medical field since..

Probably. I have my dad and step-mom's presents (they live in Houston). And if my sister gets me anything. My mom told me to pick out what I wanted, and the one I got was the last one Wal-Mart has (as far as I know) and at a good price. I gave her her present too.

Anything under 40F kills me!!I just dont have enough clothing to keep me warm then....

When its 36 in the morning I do wear shorts with the thickest jacket I got,cause I know around noon its gonna be at least 65..And this is A bad winter day for me..I hate wearing jeans...

Some things have changed, some have not....The one that always changes is CPR.... How many breathes/compressions.....LOL....Who can keep up.....

Hi Homies-

I wasn't on much yest, trying to start on my Christmas cards, to mail out to extended family. They will get them late, oh well.
The kids yest took over the one computer we have, so I didn't get to go on.
Matthew did practice his clarinet a little, some Christmas music that he played.

Did watch Yours, Mine, and Ours movie last night on TNT. The remake version w/ Dennis Quaid and Renee Russo. Found out Miranda Cosgrove and Drake Bell were in that movie - probably 5 yrs younger then they are now. Then watched something on TCM (Turner Classic Movies). Looked like a 15 min home movie of going Christmas shopping from the early '60's w/ Santa and kids in it. DH and I died laughing, it reminded us of the home movies my FIL used to film, when my DH and his brother and sister were small. Then the original Freaky Friday movie was on, with Jodie Foster. Haven't seen that one in ages.

DH is back to work today and tomorrow. Going to be a crazy week for us (I'm sure for everyone here). Will be going to church tonight for Christmas eve service.

Needing good thoughts, mummy dust, prayers, etc for DH's colonoscopy early Wed morning. thanks! His first colonoscopy, just a baseline one.

I went to the orthopedist yesterday, and we're trying physical therapy first to see if that cures it. I have what they call "frozen shoulder" due to a stress injury years ago that wasn't ever diagnosed or treated. So I have physical therapy three times a week, and I'm supposed to do stretching exercises every day. I missed today.... Too busy!!!!!!!!!! I'll have to do it twice tomorrow when I'm not trying to get lessons and music ready between the needs of kids and dogs. I also have a stress injury in my wrist that they can't do anything about. I guess I need to stop using the mouse on teh computer and type less. Yeah, right.... The thumb is hopeless. I just have to try to stretch it out, too. The bone healed well when/if it broke, but there was soft tissue damage that has caused pain and lost mobility. Oh, well. If I didn't have a high tolerance for pain, I'd probably take care of this crap sooner. I guess the pain tolerance will help with all the horrible stretching exercises.

Rose, best wishes for your DH. That's not a great way to spend Christmas Eve. What a bummer.
Butt really, I can empathise. I've had two colonoscopies and I'm due to get another one soon. My intestines don't like me.

Sorry to hear about your thumb Hope the thumb stretching exercises work out.

Thanks for the good wishes for my DH He scheduled this procedure
on Christmas eve, not me. His gastro doc wasn't avail to do the colonoscopy until mid month this month. The doctor wasn't avail next week(week between Christmas and New Years). I think doc will be on vacation that week

I have kept my RN nursing license active (I pay my active license fee every 2 yrs). I haven't work in nursing for a few years either. I probably need to take some kind of refresher course if I ever go back to it someday. I hate working holidays and every other weekend (which would happen if I ever go back). That's how it is in office politics here in my area

Marcie-how did the skiing go yesterday? Way too cold for me!
I don't know how you and your family do these winter activities when it's so cold. brrr!
I'm not a winter person, my DH and kids aren't either. We are summer people, going to the pool, waterparks, and amusement parks

Good luck with the PT. Mikey had to go through 5 weeks of pt 3x's a week even though I asked them to do an MRI first. After it didn't work they finally sent him for the MRI and then finally did the surgery. I was not happy with them at all. If they had done it when I asked we would not have had to cancel our trip this summer.

Evening all...I can't believe Christmas is only four days away now!

I'm working until 2pm on Wednesday and then we're off until next Monday! Bad news is...the parks will be INSANE starting this weekend so no playing for me.

I have my new signature ready to go for after Christmas. It will be my homage to one of my favorite hobbies back in the day...new avatar too!

Hey all

Busy ,busy ,busy is all I have to say about the next few days. I am going to my DS class today to do a Holiday Craft . Then off to bake sugar cookies tonight . Have to clean and get the house ready for the big day on Thursday .

It is freezing here like unbelieveably cold and windy . It is gonna get warmer though it is like 20 degrees here now and by Wed or Thursday it will be almost 50 . Thank goodness I am not too thrilled with the ICE that is everywhere right now.

gotta go feed my new obsession ... Twilight I just can't get enough of that book . AHH anyway

That was the plan but as usual, something has come up with work. We get an opportunity to work a little overtime this week and next (they never allow overtime) so I'm going to take what I can get. It would have been nice to go home but they'll be down in March.

Thanks, Lori! Nuts are Great, so it's all the same to me. The therapy already seems to be helping. So hopefully I won't need the surgery. Next therapy session at the clinic is tomorrow, and I guess I may be doing it myself at home the rest of the week over Christmas holiday. Just lots of stretching so no special equipment needed. Hooray!
