Someone smashed my car window!

When I went out to get in my car to go to work at 6:00 AM today, I noticed that someone had smashed out the rear driver's side window I drive an old(1990) Oldsmobile, that looks like crap, but runs like a dream, and I love this car, I intend to drive it until it dies, but I can't imagine anyone would think there was anything worth stealing in it, includiing the car itself. And there wasn't.
HOWEVER.....
Yesterday morning I was running late for work, and I had my dog with me, and she did her business, and I scooped it up in a plastic bag, like the responsible dog owner that I am, and I just threw the bag on the floor of the back seat, intending to throw it out when I got to work, but I forgot...and it was GONE this morning! So apparantly, that's what the scumbag grabbed when they smashed the window

Sorry about the window. I stopped locking my car doors because this happened to me before. They were going after a back pack that had maternity clothes in it because I was due to have my daughter at any time.

That's another thing, I never lock my car, so the guy (or whatever) could have just opened the door. I found a tire iron in the back seat though, so they must have just thrown it and grabbed
Actually, the window is a minor PITA compared to the enjoyment I'm getting from picturing the scene when he opened the bag.

You have a great attitude. I find it hillarious they got a bag of poop, but if it was my car I would not be as calm as you. I admire that you can turn this into a good thing!

WHen my parents had their clunker, they never locked the doors. One morning they noticed someone had been in the car. The glovebox was left open. My mom noticed the only thing missing were some VERY old heart pills that had been in the glovebox at least 2 years or more. I am sure whomever took them gained some medical problems. Not always smart to steal medication.

Around here, breakins are very common. Nobody with a brain locks the doors. If you do, you just end up creating a bill for yourself....to replace the window. Nobody with a brain keeps a stereo in the car either. It will get stolen. Of course, if it does get stolen, you can just go downtown to the huge outside market and buy it back!
