We are planning a trip during free dining which I would like to take advantage of. However, I bought tickets from UCT months ago before the prices went up. Does anyone know if I book a package with the minimum number of park days (2) and then when I get there ask them to issue me "paper" tickets for those 2 days for use on another trip?

Also, with the tickets to UCT can I have them combined with my KTTW card or Magic Band?

Why not just save the UT tickets for a future trip? Although it can be done, it seems kind of strange to have them remove the tickets that come with the package from the KTTW cards or Magic Bands, and then have them add the UT tickets.

I have five 5 day hopper passes with waterparks that I spent over $1800 on. I really don't want to have to buy tickets for the whole week all over again. Seems to make more sense financially to save 2 day basic tickets for a later trip.

Your plan will work fine. It is what the folks with annual passes do to take advantage of free dining. Then they save the other tickets and turn them in toward the cost of their next annual passes.

Your plan will work. But....

We did a similar thing and bought base tickets to be able to take advantage of a discount. We already had tickets. When we arrived we were not able to get our 2 day base tickets removed from our key to the world card. We were not able to attach our other tickets to our key to the world card. We had to carry our key to the world card AND our park tickets. Not a big deal, but we were very careful to use the correct tickets when going into the parks!

That's the plan we are using this trip. We have AP and in order to get the free dining pkg thru AAA we each needed 2 day park passes. We called WDW ahead of time to make sure our APs were linked to our acct instead of our other 2 day passes. And then we're going to use the 2 day towards a future trip or upgrade them to APs on our next trip :-)

don't the 2 day passes have an expiration date? are they the no-expiration date passes? if so saving them should work well.
