Someone pinch me,this trip must have been a dream UPDATED 7/9/10 Boats at the Poly

That was the same Cinderella we had at 1900 Park Fare! She really looks the part.

And that Aurora did look messed up - I don't know how she passed the auditions! Maybe she was having a reallyyyy off day...

Ariel's kiss is so cute! That's adorable.

It was so nice of that person to pay for you - what an amazing gesture. :)

And I :lmao:'ed at the "Magical Flying Swings Ride"

That last paragraph was insane! I can't believe you lost everyone, multiple times, in such a short amount of time! :rotfl:

I just read your whole TR in two days. This is a great TR. You have a beautiful family and yes you are special because you are the wife of a soldier and you have to make sacrifices so thank you!!!! ;)

Well I am trying to upload some more pictures, but it is being incredibly slow, I think I will take this opportunity to tell the funny panty story from last year. As I said my mom was mad at Dee for tricking her into riding the water slide, and Mimi and Momo were extra moody because they packed nothing but uncomfortable flip flops and we had done a lot of walking. Well Dee was sick of all the attitude so he decided he was going to fix things, and boy did he, but not in a way he had expected.

He decided they would be in a better mood if they had comfortable shoes, so he found a Nike outlet off site and took everyone there so the 2 of them could get some new sneakers. When got to the outlet there was hardly any parking.... so Dee dropped them at the door and said he would be inside in a few minutes. Taylor had dosed off in the carseat, so I decided to wait in the car with her.

Shortly after Dee left the car Taylor woke up from her nap and said she had to go potty. I instantly jumped up and ran around to get her out of the van. As I am lifting her out she said, "Uh oh a little came out....hurry I gotta pee pee" I grabbed her and started running with her....she had just gotten fully potty trained right before this trip, and she had ate ice cream and got very messy right before we headed to the shoe store, so I had already used her change of clothes I had in the stroller.

I could tell her skirt wasn't wet at all, but I knew she needed new panties. As I am running towards the shopping center I see Dee, I go to hand Taylor to him and tell him to hurry and get her to the potty and I have to go buy her some new panties. He responds, "I can't take her to the men's room.... you take her to go potty I will go get her panties" So I take off running with her some more... I actually found Momo before I find a bathroom.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but we were parked very very far away in the parking lot, and I am running with my arms stretched straight out (not so much to keep it from getting on me, but because I knew her skirt was still dry, and I figured if she stayed straight up and down her skirt would be dry still). Morgan could tell I had been running for awhile and was having a hard time finding a bathroom, so she grabbed Taylor and took off running with her now. We finally located a bathroom, and thankfully Taylor was able to make it the rest of the way. We were all pretty relieved at this point

Well we finally meet back up with Dee (it had taken him a long time) and he gives Taylor her panties. We get her cleaned up and changed.... Mimi and Momo had their new shoes, so we all head back to Disney World.... When Dee tells us his story of going to get the panties.....

Well obviously he could tell my sense of urgency when I tried to give him Taylor, and apparently he took off a little frazzled himself. He ran into a store that sold family clothes.... busted open the door and yelled, "where are your big girl panties?" A sales clerk asked him what size he needed and he responded with I don't know a 3? So she leads him to another section of the store and holds up a pair of panties asking him if they looked big enough.... she must have been holding up a 3X.... she obviously thought he meant "big girl/plus size" panties lol.... Taylor had just been potty trained and they were "big girl" panties in our house because she was a big girl for not wearing diapers anymore. Dee didn't realize that the rest of the world would call them little girl or toddler girl panties LOL!

Dee was so embarrassed, but at the same time couldn't help laughing at himself and at the woman who was trying to help him. She finally let him know where he could find Taylor's size after they both quit laughing. Dee telling us all the story and the two of them getting new shoes seemed to make everything better on the last trip.... as soon as any one would get grumpy someone else would yell big girl panties and we just couldn't help but laugh. So that was the funny panty story from last year, that still makes us all laugh any time we think about it, what I wouldn't give to get a copy of the surveillance video in that store!

Anyhow.... back to your regularly scheduled TR now...

I'm a new member, long time lurker and I just had to come out and post to you. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all about your fun adventure in WDW over the last couple of days. I must admit that your trip report has been the most MAGICAL trip report I've read to date. I mean, all of the wonderful things that have happened on your trip so far and you're not even done yet! I'm so jealous (but in a good way! :goodvibes)

Many thanks to your husband (and all other service men & women) for all he has done for the country. That was a wonderful gesture for someone to pay for your meal that day. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to more. God Bless You and Your Family.

I guess it didn't take me too long to learn to sew.... I started at the end of April / beginning of May.... I haven't posted the first outfit I made for the trip yet, I will tell you all which one it was when I get to it. The 2nd outfit I made is coming up soon. Then I continued to make like 25 for the trip between May and Aug. I had never touched a sewing machine, and couldn't sew a button on earlier this year, so I was proud of myself. I owe most of my ability to the Disboutiquers, I never would have figured it out if it weren't for them.

Most of my fabric came from Joanns, Hancock, and Hobby Lobby. I did get a few fabrics from ebay or a fabric co-op.

My appliques came from 2 places (I did make like 1 of them by hand, but the rest were machine appliques) StitchonTime.com and on Etsy (search seller HeatherSue). HeatherSue is a another DISer, and her designs are awesome and easy to do!

Plain ribbon came from Hobby Lobby and Michaels, Disney ribbon came from ebay and a ribbon co-op I joined.

Oh and you didn't ask, but it is a big reason I was able to learn to sew... the patterns came from YouCanMakeThis.com. My favorite pattern designer is Carla C, she really knows how to explain everything and show how to do everything in pictures, that anyone could sew with her patterns.

I really am so glad I learned to sew, Taylor just LOVED her outfits and she got so much special attention in them.

I'm just quoting this for my own reference.

I was showing my DD13 the outfits...and she wants me to make her the one that Aunt Momo wore in AK. :)

It's such a fun outfit! I'd love to see pictures after you make it! Just FYI.... if you have a Hobby Lobby I saw the various color zebra prints there again the other day, I had a hard time finding anything besides black and white zebra when I first started looking.

No Hobby Lobby. I only have Joann's to shop at. Well, that and online.

But our Joann's is HUGE, and we've never had a problem finding what we want there.

Do you remember where you found that pattern? I was looking around on the YCMT website and saw a couple that might have been that one. But I'm not sure.

I haven't sewn anything in quite a few years...you inspired me to pick it up again. If you can do all of that in less than a year...I'm sure I can make a few skirts :goodvibes

I love the pina colavas. It was so nice to sip on one at the AKL pool after a day at the AK. ;)

Actually that skirt was one of the few things I didn't use a YCMT pattern for, instead I used this free tutorial:

http://my-sweet-sunshine.blogspot.com/2009/05/okey-dokey.html

This was actually written by Leslie, another Diser from the Disboutiquers thread, it was one of the first things I made and very easy to follow her directions....plus it is a free pattern!
