Someone broke into my car....

Someone broke in it and stole my cd player but they ignored my check book, 2 pairs of sun glasses, and 2 Nextel phones (I work for Nextel) in the back seat. I was very lucky because I had taken my cd case in the house a few days earlier and never took it back out to my car. It's one of those 350 CD cases thats totally full, so I would have lost thousands of dollars worth of CDs. Now I'm gonna have to wait a few weeks till I have the money to buy a new cd player. What stinks is my car is my office, I'm in it 6 hours out of the day, now I have to drive around in silence! Guess I'll be on my phone a lot.

Sorry to hear about that. There have been 2 cars in the past couple of months that have been broken into at my work. It makes me really paranoid when I walk out to the parking lot at night when I get off. Try to look on BestBuy.com for a new one. I found my cd player there. They have really good deals. I can empathize with you, DH's car was broken into last week. They were trying to steal the car, but failed, instead they did over $300 in damage! Our insurance only covered the towing for us, I sure hope your insurance will cover the replacement of your cd player. Sorry for your loss.

I'm with ya Kyle!! Someone decided when they had to tow my car to "help themselves" to my DH's tools in the trunk....CRAFTSMANS TOOLS....$150 CRAFTSMANS TOOLS!!

I wasn't thinking and I gave them my "real" key instead of just the valet key which only opens the door and starts the car. Oh well, lesson learned. Like you, I could have had more stolen, but I suppose someone wanted my DH's tools more than the CD's and books I had in the trunk. I at least have two sources I can go to see what can be done about it. It did happen almost two weeks this Wed, and DH and I only noticed today when we were trying to repair a minor problem underneath my hood. He asked about his tools and I just went....oh oh!
I'm so sorry that happened to you Kyle, but I'm glad your car in general, is okay...and so are you!
