Somehow logged in during site maintenance, all my points gone

Haha yeah they clicked install -> next -> next -> finish :-)
‘Testing - We don’t need no stinking testing - we’ll just install and deal with the brown stuff when it hits the fan!’…😖

Mine is very weird and my one membership is showing all the resorts as home resorts that I have owned in that membership…three which have now been sold.
I sold an AKV contract (my only one) a few weeks ago and it left my booking home resorts at that time, but it’s now listed again as a home resort and I haven’t purchased one time use points anytime recently either.

Btw the 18th?
knowing Disney this is not me being funny but are we talking about the 18th of April or May?
She said April but I asked if that was the Easter long weekend she was saying they were aiming for and she sounded a little unsure after that lol.

Weird. Is anyone else thinking this is a bodged attempt at stopping walking?

That was my thought but what worries me is that even if it isn’t, it shows me that more restrictions to changing trips may not work like people think they will.

Yep. They definitely did not intend all the consequences of whatever change they made here.

IF and that’s a BIG IF, the intention was to curb walkers then you would have thought that whatever they wanted to implement was consistent to all users. That is definitely not the case here. Some are impacted others aren’t.

But I’ll give you, since it’s SEEMS to only impact club level and value rooms at least for AKV and not resort view rooms, then it could be something done on purpose. On the other hand, I can book value rooms with my other membership and no issues here at all whatsoever.

From reading this thread the issue seems to be twofold, 1st is the issue that I experience, the modification module at the website does not see the current points already used for a reservation, thus you can’t make modifications unless you borrow or have points left to use. 2nd some users have 0 points left in their contracts, even though they should have some left in either current or future UY.

I don’t know if both issues are impacting both direct and resale, my AKV contract is resale.

I tend to believe that the way my account is setup is sort of unique as I’m international and I can get access to MMB, I can see and do all (at least I think I can) similar to those living in the U.S. If you do system updates and only intend to update some records(members) but not others then my setup is definitely one of those that could cause headaches. I assume that I’m not the only one with a unique setup other members will have it too but in their own way.

That’s also why I don’t understand why more regression testing isn’t done - before releasing updates into the wild. I know I know Disney is probably getting what they paid for and nothing more.

Heck maybe I should suggest that to my manager, we can cut time to market in the financial sector but more than half - no testing, just development and implementation :-)

2nd some users have 0 points left in their contracts, even though they should have some left in either current or future UY.
With this issue, for me at least, it seems to be more of a display issue than an actual problem. If the contract has 0 points left in the current (or future UY) it will be hidden from display, however that contract can still be used for booking purposes and points could be borrowed into it. I think in this case it is a UI display issue vs an actual problem that can't be worked around. The other issue you mentioned people are facing is the real problem.

Have they fixed something?

It finally gave me the opportunity to borrow from 2026 and when clicking the borrow button showed all of the points that I could borrow from each contract.

I didn't complete the process as this was just a dummy reservation and don't want to borrow at the moment.

I just tried to modify and I am getting the same issue as before; however, I am sure that they are making incremental fixes to the massive botch-up so we should be seeing small changes here and there as the days go on.

Yep, I see what you mean.

I just realized that I may not be able to reproduce the issue with my AKV reservation because my AKV points are direct...
I only have the issue with one of my AKV contracts both are resale.

More field testing reports, if anyone is interested:

-I was able to book a stay at Jambo using the contract that had errored out for a new booking the other day (we have two separate AKL memberships). Modification seemed to work on this one; however, all CA and HI properties were greyed out for modification, despite the fact that we have a direct GCV contract in the same membership. This one is deeded to Jambo. However, it would let me book a NEW reservation at those properties. This contract is resale but pre-2019.

-I am still unable to modify using the second AKV membership that still sees zero points available held in the existing reservation. However, none of the other properties are greyed out. This one is deeded to Kidani.

-I have a long-sold Boardwalk contract showing up. When I tried to book anything with the 0 points displayed, it told me that the “dates were no longer available”. Perhaps this is a catch-all error pop up.

-Everything is SO SLOW.

It seems that modification with certain contracts is the big issue right now as far as I can tell.

Difficult to find the pattern of what will and what won’t work.

I thought that modifications from WDW to CA resorts were always greyed out though (require a call to modify).

Hopefully Disney can spot the pattern better than we can so that they can actually fix this mess!

This is a feature rather than a bug. You cannot modify a WDW reservation to CA or HI (different regions, different apps used during stays) regardless of what contract/s you used to book it. It would require canceling and rebooking - I don't think they can modify it via call either, unless they also cancel and rebook on their end.

Similarly, if you try to modify an Aulani reservation, you only have Aulani as an option. And if you try to cancel a VGC reservation, you only have VGC and VDH as options.

Learned something new after all this time! Thanks so much!
