We are staying off site on our first trip to WDW in October 2008 so will be eating most of our meals off site.

What I would like is some recommendations of places to eat at the world.

We thought we would like to do a couple of character meals. We did a late breakfast at Disneyland with just Cullen who was 11 months at the time this worked well for us but it was nice and quiet and we got so much attention. The characters wouldn't leave him alone so it was a nice experience. Obviously I understand it will probably not be nearly as quiet at WDW. Cullen who will be 2.5 quite likes the Mickey Mouse Club house characters at present.

Other than the character meals I thought maybe another two nice meals, I can't speak for new baby (who needs to get out very soon as I am very fed up) but Cullen is quite good while we eat out providing service doesn't take ages we can get 1.5 to 2 hours out of him presently if we make sure he has something good to eat and some toys to play with.

We thought we would like to do Fantasmic and maybe combine this with the dining package.

We are all pretty adventureous with our eating even Cullen so any suggestions you can give that may suit our little family would be appreciated.

If you are looking for character meals, I would suggest Ohana and Chef Mickey's both for a late breakfast. Much more low keyed and tons more attention at the last seating. We have always enjoyed ourselves at those meals.

Thanks those two were on my list so glad to have it confirmed that they are ok.

I can also highly recommend Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast/brunch!! Go to MK at opening if you can, ride a few rides with little/no wait and then hop the monorail over there for your meal. It was great!!

If the kids like Winnie-the-Pooh, try Crystal Palace. We did dinner and really enjoyed it.

I'm no help in MGM for Fantasmic, but for two other nice meals, that are still just fine for well-behaved kids, I'd highly recommend LeCellier and Kona.

I would also suggest OHANA because it is a family style meal. When both my boys were babies, I found buffets challenging, logistically speaking, because its hard to run afer a toddler with full plates in your hands! Garden Grill is also family style, but I can not comment on the food. We also thought the breakfast was really good at 1900 Park Faire.

Have a great trip!
