Some family can't afford to go?

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but it seems many non-Disney lovers are very confused when it comes to Disney weddings. Most people I've talked to are so concerned about the price because they think they HAVE to buy park tickets and do the grand Disney vacation. That is the reason many of my family members initially felt it was too expensive. When I explained everything and how it really can be an affordable trip the worries were over. That is not even something I considered since we are such Disney lovers, but I can see how easily that was confusing if you are not familiar with WDW. Even my fiancee's mother has come around once we sorted this out and will be making the trip afterall! :)

Yeh, some people ummed and arghhed about the cost. My grandma and grandad cant come because of travel insurance. etc. So me and my hubby to be are having a really big celebration when we get home were we'll play the video, show the pictures, i'll wear my dress, etc. Just to include them as much as possible. It's not the same really, but it means that they can still be apart of it all. I also heard that disney do web cam links of your ceremony? :confused3 dont know if that helps you at all

Hi
We are getting married at WDW in October
It will be our first trip there, but we wanted to do something spectacular, and for US (including our little boy who will be nearly 4) it also should be far less stressful than organising everything ourselves.
The downside is that my parents are not coming! They SAY it isa bout money but originally we were going to get married in PA, and tehy wanted to see NYC so were really up for going to that. I costed it out for them, and it would have cost an extra £20 per person to go to WDW for a WEEK rather than 2 nights in NYC!!!!
SO, I know it is not the money. I am really upset as I know I won't have my Dad walk me down the aisle or my family around me BUT I kind of figure, at least this way we can pretend it was for financial reasons rahtre than they didn't care.
PLUS of course my new and wonderful family will be right there so it'll be fine!
Lx
