All I am simply saying is that Marvel and Disney are polar opposites and do not fit together.
Why is Guadians of the Galaxy such a big push in Disney Parks? The movie wasn't "all that" by any means. Just trying to find out why a movie like that deserves such a financial marketing push when I'm sure most young children didn't even see it. Am I wrong? Disney might be making a mistake by bringing in something of the "super hero" world into their beloved parks.

Every child I know saw it.
Based on what? What exactly makes them polar opposites?
Marvel needs to stay in either Universal or 6 Flags.
Marvel isn't at Six Flags. That's DC Comics, which is a part of their Warner Brothers partnership.
I'm sorry, I get very annoyed when people try to use incorrect facts as part of their argument. Personal pet peeve.
I haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet (I know, what's wrong with me), but I'd really love to see something related to it in the parks. Disney is amazing at creating immersive worlds for their attractions, and I'd love to see them do that for GotG.
It's personal opinion. You think they are polar opposites but many other think otherwise. You can't say that as fact.If I really need to work explain the differences between the magic of the Disney franchise and the super heroworld than that's just craziness.
Should the Incredibles stay out of Disney? That's a superhero movie...I used that analogy to prove the point that ALL super hero IP's and franchises should stay out of Disney. Just because we love that Disney can create immersive and wonderful worlds does not mean it has to come to the parks. They should simply start using some more of their own worlds created in house to use for the parks. I'm not the only person that thinks this. Also, there is a reason you were't clambering to get to the theatre when it came out. It's not so great that it deserves such a presence in the Disney parks. Nor should Dr. Strange.
I'll never win this battle as so many people love Marvel and super heroes. I never saw the appeal, ESPECIALLY for Disney.
I'm not saying it does fit because it doesn't but I'll offer an explanation on their thinking. Epcot needs some help, Disney wants guardians in WDW, instead of getting even more negative feedback and redoing ToT in DHS for guardians lets kill 2 birds with one stone guardians in Epcot. Ta dah!I'm all for sprucing up the front half of Epcot as it is sorely in need, but I don't get how it fits in Epcot. Maybe they need to rebrand the whole front half as it has lost a lot of its charm IMO and doesn't seem to showcase what its original intent was.
Walt is dead you don't know what he would agree and disagree with.
That sounds like an Iger tattoo. This is exactly what my next tattoo is gonna say.
I would argue Disney is pushing this to further their growth in a young man's demographic. They had a period of time where they were "princess" centric, and as such were more prefered by the feminine. Nothing wrong with that, but the Super hero area now lets them go after the young boys and teen and tweens an area they haven't had much draw. I would add that a true immersive world would be just as fantastic and fantasy driven as any current disney "magic". I would venture that GoTG has potential in future world as we explore space more and find new life potentially. I think you need to come to the present, and stop living in the past, and see how Disney has also progressed.I used that analogy to prove the point that ALL super hero IP's and franchises should stay out of Disney. This would be a launch coaster so it doesn't necessarily need a lift hill. There were height test balloons used already in that area so they likely will be making the building taller.

Add up the box office receipts and DVD/Blu Ray sales for the 2 Avengers movies, GotG, the Captain America/Iron Man/Thor/Ant-Man/ films. Those numbers would appeal to anyone.
I get your point and I agree to an extent but Walt loved making money to as well as promoting his movies. Sleeping Beauty Castle was a promotion for example. Sleeping beauty wasn't finished yet and Walt decided to put the castle in the park as a movie promotion of sorts.Exactly! Just numbers and money. No heart. Just action. So crazy and nothing of what Disney used to be. Capitalize on family and perfecting what Disney was good at, a small loss in the trueness that Disney is just for some good action and box office success.
