Cinderella's Royal Table, lunch, 05.06.08
Originally, my plan was LTT for lunch, and Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner. But for some reason, I decided that I needed to eat in the Castle. So around 11:30, I was in Fantasyland, and I decided to go on over and give it a shot. I was told no luck, nothing was available, but to try back in about half an hour, as they do seatings every half hour, and someone might not show up.
So I was a little bummed, but I did as I was instructed. I showed up again at 11:55pm, and was told to hang around and wait, just in case. Well, I overheard the head of seating person say something like, we're going to have 2 four tops open. I was like, me me me!!! The lady taking names was like, calm yourself child, be patient. But I was so worried that they had forgotten about me. So sorry name taking lady for being excited!
Anyway, I was given a ticket in at 12:05!!! I was so thrilled! I immediately called up Disney Dining and cancelled LTT and Yachtsman (since it was 2TS, I needed a 1TS for dinner now), and before I knew it, I was on line to see Cinderella! I finally made it up to her and was seated at 12:40. This lunch is sure time consuming!
I was seated very far in the back, but I couldn't care less, I was there! The view from my table.
My waitress came over to take my drink order, I probably had an iced tea. And before I knew it, she placed the appetizer platter in front of me
There was chicken w/some pesto or something on it, grapes, a mini salad, some meats and cheeses. The chicken was really good, and I love grapes and salad. I noticed that they brought the same size appetizer plate for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids though, so you know this wasn't meant for one!
For my meal, I chose the Focaccia Sandwich - ham, turkey, and muenster cheese piled high on focaccia bread, with dijonaise complimented with house-made sweet potato chips. I was told I could have my choice of salad or chips, and I picked salad...but she didn't hear me
See, they brought me chips. But I made mention of that, and they told me to keep the chips, that I should try them, but they'd bring me a salad too. Nice.
The sandwich was fine. Nothing exciting, just a sandwich. And I did end up enjoying the chips and eating a few of them. Salad was standard greens. But I wasn't here for food, I was here for the atmosphere and the princesses! So here they come!
First up was Snow White. I told her to say "Hi" to Bashful for me, of course
Next up was Belle
then I got a pic with my food runner, yeah, not my waitress, but this guy took most of my pics for me! He was the one to bring me the salad too, he was really nice!
Then Jasmine came by
And finally, Princess Aurora
Not too much interaction here, but what can I expect as an adult in her mid-twenties

.
After the Princesses came through, the dessert was brought out. I had my choice of the standard, or I could get sorbet with berries. I went with the standard buckle. It was a chocolate cream cheese with chocolate ice cream.
This was sooooo good! Nice and chocolatey and cream cheesy, I'm a sucker for both of those, so I was bound to enjoy this.
Overall, the meal itself was fine, and it was a good experience. I'm glad I did it, but I don't think it's a very good value for the Dining Plan. But for the experience, yes, then it's worth it.
up next: dinner @Biergarten
