Solo camping, what do I need to consider?

Thinking about making a quick 2 night trip to WDW in late Sept, just me, for a mental health break. Total trip cost: about $300! Now, I would have to tent camp in Ft Wilderness to get there that cheap, but I'm desperate. I'm also flying, using Mears, and relying on Disney transportation, so have to keep that in mind when bringing gear. What do I need for 2 nights? So far, I have a 4 person dome tent and a twin air bed (w/ bedding), bug spray, and flashlight. Since I'm not planning on being in the tent that much (and I'm not used to tenting!), I can't think of what I'm missing.
Thanks for any tips!

Don't forget to take a trip to the dollar store! We just picked up a bunch of things for our Aug. trip. We got toiletries, and flashlights, activity books for kids on the way down......ect.......
Are you eating at camp? Maybe some snacks for your evenings? :bounce:

If possible I would try to bring an extension cord, and at least a small portable fan. I would also bring an alarm clock. Hope this helps!
Have fun

My Disney Camping List (I have flown with this list, but before the airlines got so strict on their luggage allowances).

Dome Tent for me
Smaller Dome Tent for my stuff (however, I was there for 6 nights, for two nights you might be able to stand your stuff in your tent with you)
Rainfly/Dining Shelter
Folding Chair
40 ' Extension Cord
Power Strip
Small Fan
Air Mattress/Linens/Pillow/Electric Pump for Blowing Up Air Mattress
Battery Operated Hanging Lantern
Coleman Tent Light
Small Flashlight
Plastic Groundcloth for underneath tent
Plastic Groundcloth for inside tent
Sheet of Cheap Painters Plastic to put under everything and throw away.
Clothing
Two Towels
Two Washcloths
Toiletries and Bookbag to carry them (I change clothes in the comfort station, not in my tent)
Clothesline
Shower Shoes
Bug Spray
SunScreen
Rain Gear
Cell Phone/Charger
Digital Camera/Charger
Cable Ties 8" for Extension Cord Management
Laundry Detergent
Dryer Sheets
Quarters

Hope This Helps,

Carol

Thanks for those ideas and that list...just what I was needing! Now I just need to practice solo tent-pitching!

I flew down and camped in Dec of 2002. Definitely bring a small fan to circulate the air as others have mentioned. When flying you do have to make good decisions as to your gear but I made enough room for a small portable tv. One thing I would add on for a tent light is maybe the one that I purchased for my trip. This light was battery operated and had a remote control that looked like an automobile keyless entry keychain. It was nice to get dropped off at my site bus station and while walking toward my tent have it lit up for ease of finding it as well as safety.
