Got to go on Soaring last night and I must day it is truly a magnificent ride. We loved it.

One question, what occupied that space before Soaring?

All I remember from that area is where you could buy seeds and stuff from the boat ride.

There is a boat ride inside "The Land" (on the right, Soarin' on the left). It's interestings --- you'll see different ways to grow food and a fish farm. DS really enjoys it.

Before Soarin' it was Food Rocks!, which was an awesome (IMHO) show. It was singing food, talking about why they were good for you. Before that it was the Kitchen Caberet (don't think I spelled that right), which was the same type of show - singing food.

DH and I went on Soarin' for the first time this week. It was awesome!!! I could ride it over and over and over...if DH would let me.

My question is...how long has Circle of Life been at The Land, and what was in that theater before Circle of Life? I've been to Epcot 4-5 times in the past 10 years and I do not remember this show.

i went on soarin' 6 times my last day there (NYE) and it was awesome! the most relaxing ride in all of wdw. that night before i fell asleep i still felt like i was on it. i loved it, the music, the scents, the scenery. ahh, i wish i was on it now!!

To answer that question..for the most part nothing. The entrance to Soarin' was the old Food Rocks/Kitchen Cabaret Shows but that was a small area. The massive building for the ride was constructed new just before the show was opened.

The building that houses the ride is new. They reworked part of the Land for the entrance to Soarin.

We rode it last week, too! I wonder how much it would cost me to build a Soarin at my house?!?!?!? That was undoubtedly the BEST ride I have ever been on!

I love Soarin' so much! I really love it from the front row. My friends and I have turned into Soarin' snobs and always ask for that row. . .

B 1 is the best!! we made friends with the CM on duty and she let us go on that one all the time! we had tons of fast passes our last day bc we always got shut out the rest of the week we were there. what a way to end a trip :)

How are the seats on Soaring? I don't fly at all and I am wondering if I will like this ride I am nervous about it :scared1: I just don't want to get sick :sad2:

They really are fine. My mother-in-law has motion sickness, and she enjoyed riding on the third row (her favorite thing from WDW). you can request the third row with the cast member that lines you up. You may have to wait for the next ride, but it's only a few minutes.

I went in 1997 for the first time with DH & the cherubs and it was there then. This is one of those attractions that often goes unnoticed I think. We love it! :sunny:
