Does Disney really have an incentive to update a ride that is seeing 200+ minute waits as it is? I'm just asking...

I can't imagine waiting that long in line for any ride. No way. At Cedar Point one year a bunch of my family members waited like four hours to ride Top Thrill Dragster. The ride lasts about five seconds. I just don't get it. Soarin' is a fun ride and at least it lasts longer than five seconds but... there's so much to do in Epcot! If you spend 200 minutes in line for Soarin' and another 120 minutes in line for Test Track, that's like half your day.

Excellent point. And can you imagine the cry if it was taken off line to refurb it. Yikes! There are just not enough head liners for the park to be able to absorb folks from the Soar'n lines.

You took the words right out of my mouth. This ride, while fun, is nothing to lose your head over. It does speak to the lack of other options in Epcot for thrill seekers. I look at Epcot as more of an Arboretum type location, I guess because we go during the F&G Festival. I find it easier to "stop and smell the roses" at Epcot. No way, no how would I stand in line for 2-3 hours.

I also think it's one of those things where people have heard so much about it that they think they HAVE to ride it. I could live without it, wouldn't ruin my vacation at all! lol

I didn't know Cap EO was only 5 minutes. It seemed like a very LOOOONG ride to me.....

This is the "Lines" app (which is the same as the touring plans app).

And nope, no how, no way. That is a stand by line that would cause me some serious mental distress.

However both Captain EO and Journey have expected waits of less than 8 minutes...I love Figment so I'd be there!! (Not so much with the over rated, out dated, pedo movie.)

I know it is like beating a dead horse but how does Disney not see this as a big problem for Epcot. They ought to be imagineering a new e-ticket attraction yesterday and starting to build tomorrow! Using the Wonders of Life pavilion, or a coaster in Japan, or a new ride upstairs in Imagination pavilion. Something! Somewhere! to alleviate Soarin and Test Track and help with FP+ tiering.

Maybe this crop of imagineers don't have fresh ideas. I mean, they are after all building another BTMRR on Fantasyland. Most of the new stuff seems to be characters and restaurants.
