I would love to go there one day! It won't be likely to happen in the next couple of years, but hopefully we'll be able to make the trip before too long. Having a DVC resort there certainly makes it even more appealing.
We will definately try it out. Depending on points cost we will only spend a few days there and then check out another Island. I am partial to Kauai so hopefully we could get there on the same trip.
We go to Hawaii as often as we go to WDW, but I have never been to Oahu (unless you count the one night at the Airport Holiday Inn when we were stranded due to a late flight). So someday, we might go Aulani so we can see the sights (or do some shopping). -- Suzanne
I doubt we would go and stay at a Disney resort on Oahu. Why, we lived on Oahu for 3 years and would rather visit the outer islands. If anyone does decide to go, you must visit and enjoy the Luau at the Polynesian cultural center. Its the best on the island!
Yes absolutely. We're planning on it for 2012. We'll probablye do a few days at DL first and then a few days on Maui (my favourite place on the entire planet).
We will definitely go, but also figure we'll have to give up our WDW trip that year as we fear the points in HI will eat up all our points. That's OK though.
My brother lives in HI, on Oahu actually, so it will work out nicely. He keeps asking when we're coming for a visit, but we keep telling him, not until Aulani opens at a minimum... but reality is it won't be right away. We currently have it penciled in on our long-range calendar for 2013, though we might switch our 2012 & 13 plans around.
We were hoping to go for our 25th anniversary in 2011, but will probably need to wait until August 2012- we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon, would REALLY like to go back!
DH and myself would have to be sedated, I'm afraid, before we could go there. If they could just build a bridge... Perhaps when DS15 gets married some day, we can give him points for his honeymoon, though! He'd love to go to Hawaii and he's not wimpy like us!!! Of course, by then, who knows what new and wonderful resorts they will have!!
We go to HI about every 4-5 years and planning a trip in 2012. I'm sure I'd enjoy staying there but for me it's likely I'd only use it for orphaned days not covered by other timeshares and possibly on arrival and departure. That's esp true since I often book air before I get timeshare exchanges so I often fly into HNL on Friday and out on Sunday 2 or 3 weeks later.
