We are camping at the Lake Placid KOA for three nights. DH's 40th birthday is July 3rd. For his birthday, I'm sending him on an Olympic Bobsled run! :bounce:

Where's everyone else going?

We are not doing anything as interesting or exciting as you, but we are going camping. We will be in a state park about 15 miles from our home. This is the first time we have been out since Hubby's surgery, so we wanted to stay close by the old homestead. We would have preferred to be at the beach, but we (I) waited too long to get a reservation and the campground was filled. I am sure we will enjoy being out, I really am looking forward to a campfire and making smores.

We have our TT in Cape May, NJ for the season, so we will be there. :D

FORT WILDERNESS!!!

Oldest DD graduated High School last night and the joke around the table was:

"You just graduated from High School and what are you going to do now?"

Response: "I'm going to Disney World!"

Happy Camping,
Al

Al, congrats on the graduate and the first trip to FW! You'll have a great time--maybe we'll see you there!!

That's funny. :D Hope you have fun and congrats to your DD.

Nowhere on the 4th, but we'll be at Rally Park in Tampa (visiting BG and Adv. Isl.) from the 7th to the 10th. Then we're going to Universal for 4 nights, where we'll parking our RV in the RPR parking lot. Not staying in it, of course. Then we're off to Daytona Beach, again to camp, for 4 nights. Forget counting the days, I'm counting the hours. Before long, I'll be counting the minutes. :hyper:

We will be at Sugar Ridge campground in Danville, Vermont. It is our second favorite campground next to Fort Wilderness of course. (we'll be at the Fort in 24 days:Pinkbounc ) Life is good.

We did the same thing for my son's graduation last month!! His trip was a surprise.

At his graduation dinner, I gave him a booklet with many pages:

It went like this, one page at a time:

You've Graduated High School

What Are You Going To Do.....

You will Mow The Grass

You will Do The Dishes

You will Do Laundry

You will Clean Your Room

You will Get a Job

You will Play Baseball

You will Finish Your Eagle

You will Go to College

But First.......

You're Going To Disney World!!!!!

Then we handed him his Voucher for his Park Hopper and Airline Ticket.

He was speechless. It took him a few minutes to realize that we were leaving the next morning. He kept saying, but what about work, what about ball games. We had already arranged everything with his boss, his coaches, and his girlfriend. It worked out great!

We are staying at Cherry Hill Park in the heart of Washington DC from June 29-July 9th. I love this Campground, these folks that own it are really nice and they have a class A resort. We will do a little sight-seeing and then go to Ocean City Md. for a day and then it is back home for our trip to the fort.

Just this morning I had the thought of borrowing a tent (still don't have the RV) and heading towards New Bufalo, MI. Our boat is there, and we haven't used it yet this summer.

Cherry Hill Park in the heart of Washington DC

I never dreamt there would be a campground in DC!! I'm so excited!! My eldest dd wants to go in the worst way. I'm all behind that one! I don't want to hijack this post (forgive me, Barb), but let us in on the cg when you get back!

No problemo H_O_P. Networking--that's the fun of this board! :Pinkbounc

House of Princesses: we have stayed at Cherry Hill Park many many times.DH travels for his business and he parks our RV there for months at a time. (Construction) It is a beautiful park right off of 495 exit 25 on rt 1. They have nice sites although not paved, at least I never noticed any that are paved. They have a web site you should go check it out.
