So when are you seeing "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ?

I either posted here or on another similar thread (forgive me, I forget & maybe I'm getting old and I'm only in my 40s? Yikes!) & was a bit snarky saying I'm over the Star Wars hype. I lied. I loved the '77 original (saw it in an old fashioned drive in with my parents when I was a little kid complete with roller blading waitresses delivering root beer & popcorn) and liked Empire Strikes Back but the rest were kind of meh. The thing is, my local Cineplex is showing non-stop matinees on Sat and I'm tempted. But last January, my car got crunched in a hit and run in a parking lot. After eating the $500 deductible and not having my wheels for 4 weeks during repairs, I'm not all that keen to put my baby out there in a mad house of a cineplex parking lot. I need my vehicle to drive north in bad weather next week to deliver Christmas dinner to my parents, brother & niece. So I may take one for the team and just . . . wait. Man, I miss living in a big city where I could hop on a bus and go where I want without worries.

I'm not exactly sure yet but it will be after Christmas. Probably the week between Christmas and New Years.

It was amazing.

*NO SPOILERS, I PROMISE....*

-It absolutely captured the look and feel of the originals.
-The storyline is great, and sets up perfectly for the next one.
-Terrific effects, but they add TO the experience instead of trying to BE the experience
-The new actors were fantastic, and the new characters were intriguing as well
-It is EASILY the funniest of the seven movies, and just a funny movie in general

If you loved the originals, you'll love this one. If you liked the originals, you'll really like this one.

If you loved the prequels, please seek help immediately.

One other thing(again, NOT A SPOILER....)

At our screening, they showed a trailer for Disney's "Zootopia", and it got HUGE laughs. The entire place was cracking up. I still have no idea what that movie is actually ABOUT, but that trailer was hilarious.

Saw it last night, Absolutely amazing!!

Our Theatre broke out in cheers at least 3 times.
Can't wait to see it again!

Is there a spoilers allowed thread someplace? If not we need a spoilers thread for people who have seen it!

My husband and teens are going to see it tonight at a midnight showing. It was the only tickets my husband could get - it's sold out everywhere all weekend where I live. I thought that was crazy but it's been happening more and more around here since the theatres have gone to assigned seating.

I know they will want to see it again so if they go during a normal time (ie: before 10pm) I will see it then.
