Today we are having my parents over to help us decorate the tree with our girls. I told them not to bring the turkey day leftovers, so we will have to do something else. DH is thinking pizza, I'm thinking Chinese.

So what are you eating today??

Well, I had a chocolate chip muffin for breakfast, we don't have any leftovers from yesterday so we will probably just have whatever today. We went to my BIL's and they didn't send any leftovers home with people (as we usually do on DH's side of the family).

Leftovers here too even though I'll probably let DS heat up some Chef Boyardee ravioli to give him a break.

for breakfast i had an eggo waffle but the rest of the day will be filled with leftovers

sweating out Kahlua (when did this become a Thanksgiving beverage?) I can't think of eating yet... I'll get back to you on that one.

Mom is making her turkey dinner today so we are going for non left over leftovers :) But we are eating at 1:00. I will probably steal some turkey and do hot turkey sammys and mashed taters for dinner.

After yesterday, no food today! I think maybe by dinner we may all have an appetite again so Pizza sounds good.

DH is at work, DS is still asleep, so DD and I are pretty much cleaning up the leftovers!

I made turkey for Sunday when DD, kids and FIL came over. Yesterday we had crock pot BBQ chicken I made so tonight it will be turkey soup from Sunday's turkey. Had some on Tuesday and it was good then so after a couple more days in the fridge it should be great.

We're having leftovers from yesterday, made with a recipe I got from a Readers Digest magazine years ago. It's called WINTER WARMER, HEARTY CHICKEN BAKE & we've always used leftover turkey in it. Simply yummy!!

Here's the recipe just in case anyone wants to try it out:

3 cups hot mashed potatoes
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 (2.8 oz) can Durkee French Fried Onions, divided
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen mixed vegetables, thawed & drained
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teasp Durkee Ground Mustard
1/4 teasp Durkee Garlic Powder
1/4 teasp Durkee Ground Black Pepper

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In a medium bowl combine potatoes, half the cheese & half the onions; mix thoroughly. Spoon into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole spreading across the bottom & up the sides to form a shell. In a large bowl, combine chicken, mixed vegetables, soup, milk & seasonings; pour into potato shell. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or so or until heated through. Top with remaining cheese & onions. Bake uncovered 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

After the first time making this, I learned to either used canned vegetables or cook the frozen ones first. They weren't done. We also like to add more cheese & onions to the potatoes. This could also be an excellent way to use up leftover vegetables.

We hope you will enjoy this dish as much as we do! Happy Holidays!!

I ate leftovers...actually to be honest I just finished off the remainder of the turkey and when DF gets home and asks where his turkey went, I am soo telling him his unborn daughter made me do it lol. Sadly I could probably still eat more..the baby must be going through a growth spurt in there lol.

We had hamburgers and fries - the anti Thanksgiving food - LOL

We did Chinese tonight! Chick/brocc, egg rolls and Eggdrop soup!!:)

We went out for Italian today and I had a salad. It hit the spot after all of that heavy stuff yesterday. I recovered, though and ate leftovers (sides, really) for dinner. Now I feel disgustingly full again but minus the turkey coma.

We usually do something Italian but this year everybody just fended for themselves. So I had pie for breakfast, leftover turkey et al for lunch AND dinner. DH had leftover spaghetti and meatballs. DD went over to her BF and had leftovers but with mac and cheese and salad as well. Making turkey soup now which I will probably freeze for later.

Made a leftover casserole I saw Rachel Ray making this afternoon.

Warm leftover gravy and stir in turkey that's been cut up or pulled.
Place leftover stuffing in casserole, top with gravy/turkey mixture, top with leftover mashed potatos, and dot with butter. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until warmed.

Rachel topped hers with cranberry sauce over the potatos and then the butter.
But my troops don't care for cranberry sauce so I omitted it.
