Wednesday, April 7, 2010 cont'd (part 7)
So after our character meet and greet over at Innoventions we decided to head over to...
The Seas with Nemo and Friends! One of the things I really wanted to do on this trip was spend some more time looking at the various exhibits in the aquarium. My sisters don't really care for that kind of stuff so this was the perfect opportunity since Dad is willing to do whatever. We ended up bypassing the ride (even though I enjoy it!) and just headed straight for the aquariums.
Now this is where I started having my Full House flashbacks. If you haven't already figured it out, I LOVE Full House, especially the Disney episode! There are a couple of scenes in the show where Jesse and Joey are doing their radio show from underwater, or as Jesse says, in the "world's largest bowl of clam chowder."
See, told you I was obsessed.
All I needed to see was the "bubble" that they were sitting in, haha but I guess they must've taken that out. Who knows. There were a few sharks swimming around too which again reminded me of that episode where Joey starts freaking out because he thinks the shark is going to eat him and wants to order a pizza. Ahhh good times. Great show. I'll stop with the FH references. For now atleast.
As we were looking at the fish I also spotted a Hidden Mickey at the bottom of one of the tanks:
One other kind of funny thing we saw were some fish chases. There were these couple of fish that would start chasing littler fish and then they'd just stop. Very bizarre but amusing.
Our next stop was to see the manatees. All the green stuff floating in the water is lettuce!
Then we headed downstairs and went in to look at all the Nemo fish. It was so cute listening to all the kids (and some adults!) saying "There's Nemo!" or "There's Bubbles!" (the yellow fish who lives in the tank at the dentist's office). I found Nemo myself, actually.
One of the other things in that area was a station where you could take a quiz about sharks. I decided to give it a try. There were 7 different questions about sharks, like what are baby sharks called and how many different types of sharks are there. I think I impressed Dad because I got 6 out of the 7 questions right.
He kept asking me how I knew all that stuff...it was actually pretty funny because at school I read a book about sharks with some of the fourth graders. Guess I wasn't the only one who learned something from that book.
After taking the quiz it told me I was Anchor, so I had to get a picture with him.
Once we were done exploring we made our way to the front of the park to pick up our Visa photo. I know I already said this but it really is a great little secret if you have a Disney Visa. We were able to view our photos right away. The CM showed us all the different shots (there were atleast 3 or 4). We were then able to pick out a border if we wanted and then they print it right away. It turned out really cute! If I get around to scanning it I'll be sure to post it. Then it was off to the Boardwalk for Welcome Home Wednesdays!
