Great thread, Barb! I'm almost all set:

- made my airline reservation, but haven't been ticketed (using FF miles)
- bought 5-day PHP (for PI)
- reserved room at the Swan
- reserved rental car to get to my mom's and WDW on the front end, and another rental reservation to return to the airport (in case I don't want to take Mears)
- bought my MVMCP ticket
- paid for the CP dinner package
- purchased several Quick and Casual meal vouchers

What I haven't done yet:

- lose weight!

I changed my airline ressie and Swolphin ressie. Now I'm coming in on the 29th, leaving December 11th.

And I also found in my Passporter a coupon for 7 days' free car rental. WHOO-HOO! Forgot I even had that. Duh......

Also told my bosses I'd be gone from Thanksgiving until the 16th of December. That'll give me a few days after I'm back home to recover.

Let's see if I can remember the things that I've done already:

~ Requested paid time off work granted.

~ Dolphin reservations made.

~ Made up my mind to drive down to WDW instead of flying.

~ Making a list of all those DISers that is going to be down at WDW during DIS-CON-II because I don't want to miss a chance to get to meet everyone on that list.

~ Paid Patinmn for reservations for his Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review DIS mini-meet on 12/03/02.

~ Made reservations for three different horse drawn carriage rides on 12/03/02.

~ Signed up for the following DIS mini-meets: Chef Mickey's, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Kona Cafe, Boma, Candlelight Processional.

~ Plans to be a chauffeur at 10:45 P.M., 9:30 A.M., and 4:00 A.M..

~ Bought a Verison "Can you hear me?" prepaid phone to use at WDW(and emergencies).

~ Made Priority Seating for Contemporary Resort's California Grille today.

Things that I still need to do:

~ Buy my Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets.

~ Buy my Candlelight Processional packages.

~ Buy my WDW Annual Pass.

~ Start making more Priority Seatings, tours, etc., excluding the official DIS-CON-II dates.

~ Pay the balance of the DIS-CON fee when it is announced.

~ Start finalizing my itinerary so that the good times at various restaurants won't sell out.

~ Car tune-up, tires, etc..

~ Packing.

O.K., what have I've forgotten?

Since it is almost September, and no one has really made group plans for several days, yet. I'm going to try and make my own plans.

I have my flight now (flying BOTH ways with Dopeygirl!)

Then, registration. Still to be finished paying when announced.

Booked at the Swan, for Dec99 & I on the night/s we're not at OKW.

FL Airport transportation is allegedly being handled by Dopeygirl for at least the 3 of us, so far.

I've pre-signed for MANY mini-meets but, we'll see how that plays out with the actual plans.

I need to get a Park Pass and, keep my eye on DISConII plans vs mini-meets. Yikes, scheduling could take a master mind to figure this all out!

Registered for Discon and paid the deposit.
My plane ticket booked and paid for.
TTC reservation to pick me from the airport
The Marriott is booked for my first night paid for with points J (Im
staying opp the premium outlets, note to credit card – be afraid!)
My Swan reservation is booked and deposit paid.
Ive paid Patrick for my Hoop Dee ticket.
Brought my MVMCP ticket for the 8th.
Ive signed up for a few mini meets.
Ive saved some $$$ for all my shopping J
I have a glow in the dark lime green head piece for the illumination's
party.


Things I need to sort out…

Book a car to take me and all my shopping from The Marriott to The Swan, and also book the return journey to the airport on the 9th.
Pay for the remainder of the Discon package as and when it’s announced.
Pay for my Swan room (Christmas present off my DH)
Buy a park ticket, not sure which one as yet.
Get a fancy tiara or two, a girl can never have too many tiara’s
Sort out some festive headwear.
Start a packing list.
Get in touch with my mobile phone company to check if my phone is tri-band.
LOOSE SOME WEIGHT.

Oh, I thought I was doing well but looking at my ever growing list I think I need to start sorting a few more things out, but like Nancy I have a Vegas trip before Disney, oh so much to do so little time.

This trip was supposed to be the 3 of us (my sons and I); then it turned into 6 of us (my babysitter, her daughter and her sister and the 3 of us); now it's dropped to the 1 of me (babysitter wants to go, but can't afford it until at LEAST February, and actually convinced the boys that the only way I could afford both would be for me to go alone...) Wahooo.

This could all change, too, so I can't do anything I can't cancel.

But I'm getting psyched anyway!

I finally got my FF e-ticket. I had to change my flight from Chicago to Orlando to Thanksgiving evening instead of the morning of the 29th, because I waited too long to drop the flight from my local airport to Chicago. The rules for using FF tickets have changed, at least on American, so there will be no further tinkering with the dates unless I pay a $100 change fee.

I think all I had to do yet was pack , of course, and arrange transportation. I just tried to do that with FL Tours - but they said they couldn't accept my information right now - the server was busy!

Are we all making our transportation ressies at the same time? LOL!

I've got my CP ressies, registered with Pete, my Chef Mickey's and MVMCP all taken care of. Just patiently waiting for more DIS-CON info.
