Exactly. What some people find crude others find amusement. It doesn't make one any better than the other, just different. And if we all agreed *all* of the time things would get boring pretty quick and we wouldn't have discussions allowing us to show our POV and perhaps even open up the eyes of others to another way of seeing things. I;m not saying the other way of seeing things is always the right thing, but a different perspective helps us grow.

Fact of the matter is, though, that it is screwy to ban people for simply posting to ANY other board at any point in history. Since some were banned for just existing. When on earth was Katerkat or DisneyPhD EVER offensive? Or those that were on vacation? What was their crime that night? Merely existing on another board.

Also, I have seen that place be very positive. As a meeting place when this board is down. A place for a poster having a VERY tough time in real life to feel free to vent in a way that is not allowed here.

There was a point, when Ed was in the hospital and wouldn't wake up when I went to that place and vented in a way that would not have been appropriate here..I was angry, very angry and I needed a place to let that out..I certainly couldn't do it IRL in front of my kids... I was treated very well over there when I did that

Splash, I just want to tell you how much I love the picture of your kitty in your signature. She always reminded me of my kitty. They're about the same age. My Misty was 19 when we lost him in December. He had been diabetic for years, but he had cancer and a heart attack and we couldn't let him suffer anymore. I'm so glad Splash is still doing so well. I hope you have lots more happy time to spend together.

Yes, Jenny I was referring to that day. I was glad you found a way to vent your feelings and shelter your children. I was also glad you received the reception you did over there.

It also opened my eyes to the fact that there are shades of gray between just the black and the white.

Could you fill us in then? I know one side but certainly not EXACTLY.

I'm not "friends" with anyone here but I miss seeing the input from posters I have grown to respect over time. There are people here I want to put my hands through the monitor and throttle just as there a few over "there". (Actually I think a few of them are actually the same people, just different screennames here and there ) Where else can you find civilized discussion about such a wide range of topics with opinions from all over the world?

We're all coming here originally because we all have a love of Disney, a little magic in our lives. But love of Disney doesn't cause people to stay and have 5 or 10K posts. The people and the interactions are what make people stay.
