If someone actually does know the other side of the story-PLEASE tell us. I only know one side and I'm supporting those people because they have been straight with me all along. They're not being cryptic, they're not hiding behind threats about lawyers-they're just simply stating what happened to them.

Splash, I just want to tell you how much I love the picture of your kitty in your signature. She always reminded me of my kitty. They're about the same age. My Misty was 19 when we lost him in December. He had been diabetic for years, but he had cancer and a heart attack and we couldn't let him suffer anymore. I'm so glad Splash is still doing so well. I hope you have lots more happy time to spend together.

Is he really almost 20? That's truly amazing. We lost all three of our lovies in the last year at ages 12-14.

Thank you. Yes, she'll be 20 in Oct. That picture was taken in December. She's deaf & has kidney disease (since 15). Requires daily sub-q fluids but is still full of spunk. (Vet says she's full of "pee" & vinegar. DIS version of the actual phrase.) Wants constant attention & loving. Likes to go outside to visit the flowers & bugs. Still loves her toys & being brushed. Her muscles & vision are just starting to go. Needs a extra step to get on the bed somedays & taking the stairs slower than before. We have vet appt tomorrow for regular checkup. Whenever I end up with a different vet, they are amazed at how good she is for her age. They always first think she's about 14 or so. Honestly never thought she would still be here.

Another problem is that it is not just one group of people who are saying that their PMs have been read. There are other groups too. I've read a post elsewhere (not here and not "there") from someone who posted screen caps of a PM they received from one of TPTB responding to something they had sent in a PM to someone else. Maybe it was photoshopped but as Fitswimmer said when there is no other side being shared just yet, it appears pretty damning. There are several stories of PMing info, usually PMing info about how to locate a site that is filtered or something like that, and then being banned for a filter violation when it was something that they did not post openly, it was "google XYZ and they are the first one" or something similar sent in a PM.

I would like to think that even if the ability to delve into the database tables and retrieve PMs exists, that no one would go digging in to PMs but I also realize that one should never consider ANYTHING posted on the web to be truly private.

Don't you guys understand that when you banned masses of people, and refused to give them the decency of an explanation of why they were banned, you created a culture of fear, paranoia and conspiracy theories?

I think what alot of people don't understand is that this is a business and is run like a business, TOS even before the modifications stated what could and could not be posted both here and on other sites. If the TOS is violated the PTB have every right to prevent those who violate from posting. Yes, I know some people who are no longer here - both voluntarliy and involuntarily, and at first I was really annoyed - citing all the same issues you all posted here freedom of speech, etc. But when I actually went back and read the TOS I realized that the people I knew violated that and brought themselves their own fate.

I know that this view will not make you all fuzzy, so I will but on my flame suit now.

That's so great! She's really beautiful. We did the fluids for kidney disease too. He never really minded them. The hardest part was making him sit still for ten minutes.

I did the same thing...and the people I know that got banned did NOTHING to violate the TOS. All they did was post on another website, PM about the bannings, or go to WDW for a week....I didn't see any of those things in the TOS. Perhaps you could enlighten me as to where those "sins" are listed.
